GP Practice Materials: Cards, Signage and Reminders
A practical guide to printed materials for family doctor practices – appointment reminder cards, door signage, information leaflets and posters with your practice's branding.
Standard materials for a family doctor's practice fall into four groups: appointment reminder cards in 90×50 mm format (from 100 pcs, roughly from EUR 25 excl. VAT), door and room signage as stickers or plaques, A5/A4 information leaflets for patients, and A3–A2 posters for the waiting room. Our own printed items – stickers, cards, posters – are produced in 1–3 business days, while promotional products with your logo usually take 6–10 business days. We work from 1 piece, so even a small practice can order just 100 cards and ten stickers.
What practices actually use
Experience with healthcare clients shows that most orders repeat. It's worth combining a full year's volume into one quote – that way setup work is shared across the batch and the price per piece is lower.
- Appointment reminder cards 90×50 mm or 85×55 mm with blank lines for date, time and doctor's name. Paper 300–350 g/m², ideally matte or unlaminated so it can be written on with a pen.
- Patient record card covers and folders featuring the practice name, address and phone number.
- Door and room stickers: opening hours, "Quiet please", "Disinfect your hands", room numbers, lettering on glass (also available as transparent or frosted film).
- A5 information leaflets and sheets: vaccination schedules, test preparation instructions, self-examination guides, e-prescription explanations.
- A4–A0 posters for the waiting room and roll-up banner stands for prevention campaigns or outreach events.
- Sample labelling stickers – plain, with space for handwriting, or with pre-printed fields.
Reminder cards and data protection
The card that a patient takes home is designed as a blank form with no pre-printed medical information: only the practice name, address, phone number, opening hours and blank fields are printed. We never print a diagnosis or service name on the card – patient data stays within the practice, and a single artwork version serves the whole year.

Choosing paper and materials for a healthcare setting
In a waiting room, materials get touched a lot and cleaned often, so the choice of material is practical rather than decorative:
- For cards and folders – 300–350 g/m² card stock; if the card is filled in by hand, use matte lamination or no lamination.
- For frequently used wall instructions – laminated print or a sticker on PP film that withstands disinfectants.
- For glass stickers – frosted film for doors and windows; transparent film if the background colour needs to stay visible.
- For labelling samples and cards – paper stickers on a roll that are easy to peel off one at a time.
How ordering works
Send us your logo and texts at info@attaprint.lv or add products to a request on our website. Within one business day we send a quote online and as a PDF, showing for each item the format or a product photo, price, print area, setup fee and lead time; on request we also prepare a 3D preview with your logo. The artwork is approved by email, and only then does production begin.
We prefer files in vector format (.ai, .eps, .pdf, .svg), CMYK, raster images at 300 dpi. If your practice only has a logo in JPG format, we'll redraw it – this is a one-off task, and all future orders then use the same file.
FAQ
How long do practice printed materials take?
Stickers, cards, leaflets and posters – 1–3 business days after artwork approval. Promotional products with your logo usually take 6–10 business days: production 4–7 business days depending on quantity, plus 2–3 days delivery. Urgent jobs can be arranged by agreement.
What's the minimum quantity for reminder cards?
Technically we print from 1 piece, but the practical sweet spot is 100–250 pcs – setup work is spread across a larger batch and the price per card is several times lower.
Can you make stickers for glass doors and windows?
Yes. We use matte or transparent film with contour cutting to your shape – opening hours, room numbers, signage or a logo. Please give measurements in millimetres, or send us a photo of the door with dimensions.
Can printed items and promotional products with a logo be combined in one order?
Yes. One quote can include both cards and posters, as well as pens and sticky notes. Lead times differ, so the PDF shows a separate date for each item; the shipment can also be split into two batches.
What if the practice doesn't have its own branding yet?
We prepare artwork based on your existing signage, website, or just the practice name. Design work is listed separately in the quote, and the finished files are handed over to you after the order for future use.
Do the stickers withstand disinfectants?
Paper stickers don't – they're meant for cards and internal labelling. For frequently cleaned surfaces, we use PP film or vinyl, which withstand regular wet cleaning and alcohol-based products.
