Keyrings with Logo: Metal, Wood, Faux Leather

A guide to keyrings with logo: material comparison, printing techniques, indicative prices from EUR 1.20 and production times of 3–10 business days.

Metal, wood and faux leather keyrings with logo

Keyrings with a logo in Latvia typically cost from around EUR 1.20 per piece (a simple aluminium keyring with laser engraving, 250+ pcs) up to EUR 6–12 for functional models with an LED torch or Bluetooth tracker. Production takes 5–10 business days after artwork approval, depending on quantity and printing method, with rush orders available by arrangement. In our experience, the minimum order can start from just a few dozen pieces, but real price savings kick in from 100–250 pcs.

How to choose a material

The material determines both the printing technique and how long the logo will keep its appearance. A keyring is a product people carry in their pocket and rub against other keys every day, so surface durability matters more than it would for, say, a notebook.

Metal (aluminium, steel, zinc alloy)

Metal is the most durable choice and the best fit for laser engraving — the engraving doesn't wear off, because it's burned into the material rather than applied on top. Anodised aluminium produces a light, contrasting design when engraved; zinc alloy keyrings are heavier and give a more "premium" feel. Metal is also the best option if you need a keyring with a function — a bottle opener, carabiner or shopping trolley token.

Wood and bamboo

Wooden keyrings are light, eco-friendly and look good with an engraved logo (a dark brown line on a light material). The downside — wood is softer and can pick up scratches over time, so it works better for events, gift sets and tourist souvenirs than for an everyday bunch of ten keys. Full-colour printing doesn't work as well on wood as on plastic — fine details and gradients tend to blur.

Faux leather (PU)

Faux leather is a compromise: soft, quiet, doesn't scratch a phone screen in your pocket, and looks good as a corporate gift with a car dealership, real estate agency or law firm logo. Printing method — hot stamping (foil stamping) or laser, which leaves a darker imprint. Complex multicolour logos aren't recommended on PU; a simple monochrome design looks better.

Artwork preparation

Laser engraving and pad printing require vector graphics: .ai, .eps or .pdf with text converted to outlines. For engraving, the logo must be single-colour — halftones, shadows and fine gradients get lost. The minimum line thickness for engraving is around 0.25 mm, and the minimum text height is 1.5–2 mm.

For full-colour doming stickers and digital printing, we prepare files in CMYK. If you only have a JPG or PNG logo, we can redraw it as a vector — this typically costs around EUR 20–40 depending on complexity. We always send the artwork for approval before production, and only start manufacturing after you give the "OK".

If you need the keyrings by a specific date — a conference, the start of a sports season, Christmas — book at least two weeks ahead. In autumn and December, production times tend to be longer. Orders can be collected from Kandavas iela 29A, Riga, or we can deliver by courier anywhere in Latvia.

What to combine it with

A keyring rarely works alone — it's usually paired with other materials. In practice, good combinations include: keyring + business card with a QR code, keyring + lanyard for event attendees, keyring + mug or bottle in a corporate gift bag. If you also need printed packaging or stickers to finish off the set, we can produce them as part of the same order — see our printing services.

Frequently asked questions

What's the smallest quantity I can order?

For laser engraving, you can realistically start from 25–50 pcs; technically we can make fewer, but the price per piece is significantly higher, as setup costs are spread over a smaller run. From 250–500 pcs onwards, the price per piece drops considerably.

Which printing method is the most durable?

Laser engraving on metal. It doesn't wear off or peel, because the surface layer is removed rather than applied on top. Second place goes to pad printing with a lacquer coating, followed by a full-colour doming sticker (a curved resin lens that protects the print from scratches).

Can a full-colour logo be engraved?

Not with a laser — engraving is always single-colour, in the material's natural tone. We handle full-colour logos with a doming sticker (for example, on the Tao model), digital printing, or sublimation on fabric lanyards.

What file format should I send the logo in?

Vector graphics in .ai, .eps or .pdf, text converted to outlines, in CMYK. If you only have a raster file, we can redraw it as a vector for an additional fee of roughly EUR 20–40.

How long does a custom-shaped keyring take?

If the keyring needs to be made in your own shape (the silhouette of your company logo), allow 15–25 business days, including mould production and sample approval. Standard catalogue models only need 5–10 business days after artwork approval.

Send your logo and planned quantity to info@attaprint.lv or message us on WhatsApp at +371 25776699 — project manager Madara will select the most suitable models for you. We prepare a quote with prices and timelines within one business day.
