Eco-friendly Bags with Logo: RPET, GRS and Organic Cotton
A practical guide to choosing eco-friendly bags with logo printing: RPET, GRS certification, organic cotton, indicative prices, printing methods and lead times.

Eco-friendly bags with logo printing in Latvia are most commonly ordered in three material options: RPET (recycled PET bottle polyester, 80–190 g/m²), GRS-certified fabrics with a confirmed recycled content, and organic cotton, 140–180 g/m². Indicative prices with a single-colour print start from around EUR 1.20 per piece for a non-woven RPET bag and from EUR 3.00 for an organic cotton bag (excl. VAT, at 100 pcs), with a production time of usually 5–10 business days after artwork approval. We also work with small quantities, including a single piece, if the printing method is a DTF transfer or embroidery.
What RPET, GRS and organic cotton actually mean
RPET is a polyester fabric made from recycled PET bottles. A medium-sized RPET bag typically uses material from around 5–8 bottles (0.5–1.5 l). The fabric is lightweight, quick-drying, resistant to stretching, and works well for foldable bags you can carry in your pocket.

GRS (Global Recycled Standard) is not a material but a certification standard that confirms the amount of recycled content and traceability throughout the entire production chain. If a client needs proof for procurement documents or a sustainability report, a GRS-certified fabric is the right choice — the bag then comes with supporting documentation, rather than just a general "eco" label.
Organic cotton is grown without synthetic pesticides, usually with OCS or GOTS certification. It's heavier and more "tactile" — a 140–180 g/m² bag looks substantial, holds its shape well and suits gifts, retail sale and event packages.
Material comparison and indicative prices
The figures below are indicative, excl. VAT, with a single-colour print on one side. The exact price depends on quantity, fabric weight, number of colours and print size.
| Material | Weight | From 50 pcs | From 250 pcs | From 1000 pcs |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| RPET non-woven bag | 80 g/m² | from EUR 2.10 | from EUR 1.45 | from EUR 1.20 |
| RPET woven bag | 100–140 g/m² | from EUR 3.60 | from EUR 2.80 | from EUR 2.30 |
| RPET foldable bag with pouch | 190 g/m² | from EUR 4.80 | from EUR 3.90 | from EUR 3.20 |
| Organic cotton | 140 g/m² | from EUR 4.20 | from EUR 3.30 | from EUR 2.70 |
| Organic cotton, heavy | 180–220 g/m² | from EUR 5.90 | from EUR 4.70 | from EUR 3.90 |
| GRS-certified cotton/RPET blend | 150–180 g/m² | from EUR 5.20 | from EUR 4.10 | from EUR 3.40 |
Each additional print colour in screen printing usually adds EUR 0.25–0.60 per piece, and a second side counts as an extra print position. For large quantities, set-up costs are spread across the run, so from 500 pieces upwards, the difference between one and three colours is already small.
What you can order from our catalogue
From our promotional products catalogue you can choose from the following groups of eco-friendly bags:
- Non-woven RPET shopping bag with short handles, approx. 38×42 cm — the cheapest option for large quantities.
- Woven RPET bag with long shoulder handles, 100–140 g/m² — for everyday shopping and conference packages.
- Foldable RPET bag with its own pouch or built-in pocket — a compact gift for clients and event attendees.
- Organic cotton bag, 140 g/m², with long handles — the most frequently ordered model for shops and cafés.
- Heavy organic cotton bag, 180–220 g/m², with wide handles and a bottom gusset — for carrying heavier grocery items.
- Small organic cotton drawstring bag — for gift packaging and sports clubs.
- GRS-certified bag with an inner pocket and zip closure — when you need a more representative solution.
- Cotton or RPET beach and sports bag with a wide base — for seasonal campaigns.
Colour options: natural unbleached fabric, black, navy, grey, as well as dyed versions. Unbleached fabric looks the most "eco" visually, but light colours need to be printed with a white base/underlay on it. See the full range of bags in the fabric bags and totes section.
Which printing method suits which material
Screen printing
The most economical choice from 100 pieces with 1–3 colours. On cotton it gives a matte, durable result; on RPET, lower-temperature curing is required, so it's best to avoid very fine elements thinner than 1 pt in the artwork.
DTF transfer
Suitable for colourful logos, photographs and gradients, as well as small quantities from 1 piece. For non-woven RPET, we prepare the print in a gentle mode, as the material doesn't tolerate prolonged high temperatures.
Embroidery
Embroidery looks great on cotton of 180 g/m² and heavier — it gives a more substantial, premium feel. Indicatively from EUR 4.00 per piece for a logo up to 8 cm wide, depending on the stitch count.

Files and lead times
Send your logo as vector graphics — .ai, .eps or .pdf with converted fonts, colours in CMYK or Pantone if it needs to match your corporate identity. Raster files (.png, .jpg) can be used for DTF printing, but should be at least 300 dpi at actual size.
| Stage | Time |
|---|---|
| Quote upon request | 1 business day |
| Artwork approval | 1–2 business days |
| Production (DTF, embroidery) | 5–7 business days |
| Production (screen printing, large quantities) | 5–10 business days |
Urgent orders can be arranged by agreement. If the bags are needed for a specific event, allow at least two weeks from request to delivery — this also leaves time for a sample.
How to choose for a specific purpose
- Retail sale in a shop or café: organic cotton, 140–180 g/m², 1–2 colour screen printing, quantity from 200 pcs.
- Conference or exhibition: woven RPET bag or a foldable version — lightweight, saves on logistics weight.
- Municipal or school project with sustainability criteria: GRS or GOTS-certified fabric with documentation.
- Gifts for clients: heavy cotton with embroidery, or a bag set together with another item from the catalogue.

FAQ
How does GRS certification differ from a simple "RPET" label?
RPET indicates the type of material — recycled polyester. GRS (Global Recycled Standard) is a certification standard that formally confirms the proportion of recycled content and traceability throughout the production chain. If proof is required for procurement or a sustainability report, a GRS-certified fabric should be chosen.
How much do eco-friendly bags with logo printing cost?
Indicatively, excl. VAT, with a single-colour print: non-woven RPET bag from EUR 1.20–2.10/pc, woven RPET bag from EUR 2.30–3.60/pc, organic cotton bag from EUR 2.70–4.20/pc. The lowest prices apply to quantities of 1000 pieces or more. The exact price depends on quantity, fabric weight and the number of print colours.
Can I order just a few bags?
Yes. We work with DTF transfer or embroidery from as little as 1 piece. Screen printing becomes cost-effective from around 100 pieces, as the set-up costs are spread across the whole run.
Which printing method is the most durable on a cotton bag?
Screen printing and embroidery. Screen printing ink on cotton withstands regular use and washing at 30–40°C; embroidery practically doesn't wear out, but it's more expensive and not suitable for fine, small logo details.
How long does an order take?
Usually 3–10 business days after artwork approval: DTF and embroidery 3–5 days, screen printing and larger quantities 5–10 days. We prepare a quote within one business day; urgent jobs can be arranged by agreement.
In what format should I send my logo?
Preferably as vector graphics (.ai, .eps, .pdf) with converted fonts, colours in CMYK or Pantone. Raster files are suitable for DTF printing if the resolution is at least 300 dpi at the actual print size.
