Hockey Merchandise with Logo: Caps, Scarves and Thermal Mugs for Teams

A season guide for winter sports teams: which caps, scarves, thermal mugs and sweatshirts with a logo to order, approximate prices and realistic production times.

A knitted beanie with embroidery, a fan scarf and a thermal mug in team colours

Hockey merchandise with a logo for the winter season usually consists of four items: a knitted beanie with embroidery (approximately from 7 EUR/pc at 50 pcs), a fan scarf (from 6–9 EUR/pc), a thermal mug or thermal bottle with engraving (from 9–16 EUR/pc), and a sweatshirt for the team and coaches (from 22 EUR/pc). The standard lead time for products from our catalogue with embroidery or engraving is 5–10 business days, while fully custom-knitted beanies and scarves need 3–4 weeks. All prices here are approximate, excl. VAT, and depend on quantity, material and the printing method.

Where to start: a team set in one style

In practice, teams and clubs tend to make one common mistake — ordering beanies in November, scarves in January, and thermal mugs just before the final match. As a result, the logo size, yarn tone and embroidery colours end up slightly different in each batch.

It's more efficient to first define a single visual set: a logo in vector format (.ai, .eps or .pdf), two to three base colours according to Pantone, and one text version (club name or slogan). Then the whole season's production can be made in stages while keeping a consistent look.

What a season set usually includes

  • a cap with an embroidered logo — for players, parents, supporters;
  • a fan scarf — for sale at games or as a gift for sponsors;
  • a thermal bottle or thermal mug — for coaches, team staff, sponsor gifts;
  • a hoodie or warm jacket with embroidery on the chest and the name on the back;
  • a sticker set with the club logo for bags, hockey sticks and cars.

Caps: embroidery or jacquard knit

Caps are the most requested winter product. Our catalogue offers single and double knitted beanies, with and without a brim, as well as lined models — these are warmer but also more expensive.

There are three realistic printing options. Embroidery is the most durable and suits logos with 1–6 colours; the minimum order starts from as little as 10 pcs. A sewn-on fabric or leather patch with an engraved logo looks neat and works well for club merch. Jacquard knitting, where the logo is knitted directly into the beanie, is the most attractive solution, but requires an order of roughly 50–100 pcs and 3–4 weeks of production.

You can browse the models and materials in the caps section — it includes both knitted winter models and baseball caps for indoor training.

Scarves: sublimation or knit

Fan scarves come in two technological routes, and they differ sharply in price and lead time.

  • Sublimation printing on fleece or polyester scarves — a full-colour image, photos, gradients, sponsor logos in a row. Suitable from 25 pcs, lead time 5–10 business days. Approximately from 6 EUR/pc at 100 pcs.
  • Knitted acrylic scarf (jacquard) — the classic double-sided fan scarf with 2–3 colours. Minimum around 50 pcs, lead time 3–4 weeks, approximately from 9–12 EUR/pc.

If a scarf is needed for a specific tournament, the knitted version's order should be confirmed at least a month in advance.

Thermal bottles and thermal mugs

A thermal bottle is one of the few promotional items that's genuinely used every day throughout the winter. Our catalogue offers stainless steel thermal bottles of 350–1000 ml, thermal mugs with a lid of 300–450 ml, and sports bottles for training bags.

Choice of printing: laser engraving on metal is durable and dishwasher-safe, but comes out in a single tone; screen printing or UV printing gives colour, but on glossy surfaces you should expect some wear over time. Team orders often use engraving with the club logo and a player's number or initials — personalisation adds roughly 1–2 EUR/pc to the price.

See the models in the thermal bottles section, or the full range with logo printing in promotional products.

Lead times and season planning

November and December are the busiest months of the year, so lead times should be planned realistically:

  • stickers, posters, flyers for games — 2–5 business days;
  • beanies and hoodies with embroidery from the catalogue — 5–10 business days;
  • thermal bottles with engraving — 5–10 business days;
  • sublimation scarves — 5–10 business days;
  • custom-knitted beanies and scarves — 3–4 weeks.

If the products are needed by Christmas, it's best to submit the order and an approved artwork by the first week of December. Urgent jobs are possible by arrangement, but then the choice is limited to models available in stock.

Files to prepare

Please send the logo in vector format (.ai, .eps, .pdf), with colours in CMYK or Pantone. For embroidery, a simplified version of the logo without fine details also works — thin lines under 5 mm and small text are not legible on knitwear. We prepare an artwork visualisation with print sizes and placement before production and agree it with you.

Frequently asked questions

What is the minimum order for caps with a logo?

For embroidered caps from the catalogue — from 10 pcs, since setting up the embroidery programme is a one-off task (approximately 25–40 EUR, depending on the number of stitches). For knitted beanies with a jacquard pattern, the minimum is around 50 pcs.

How long does it take to get fan scarves for a team?

We make sublimation scarves in 5–10 business days. Classic knitted acrylic scarves require 3–4 weeks, so they should be ordered at least a month before the event.

Can each player's name be put on a thermal bottle?

Yes. Laser engraving allows different text or a number to be engraved on each item. Personalisation usually costs an extra 1–2 EUR per piece.

Will embroidery on a cap withstand washing?

Yes. Embroidery is the most durable printing method on knitwear and fleece; washing at 30 °C does not damage it. Heat transfer solutions on knitted surfaces hold up less well, so we don't recommend them for caps.

Can you also make stickers and posters for games?

Yes, we make both contour-cut stickers with the club logo and posters in A3–A0 formats, as well as banners for arena interiors. The range and formats are available in the printing services section.
