Hoodies with Logo: What Works for Teams, What Works as Gifts

A practical guide to choosing hoodies and sweatshirts with a logo: fabric weight, printing technique, size breakdown, indicative prices and lead times.

Hoodie with an embroidered logo on the chest, close-up

For everyday team wear, a 280–300 g/m² hoodie with an embroidered logo on the chest usually works best, while for gifts an organic cotton or zip-up model in a wider colour range with a finer print is the better choice. Hoodies with a logo in our catalogue start at 240 g/m² (Charon) and go up to 300 g/m² (Arora); an indicative price with a single-colour print starts from EUR 18 per piece excl. VAT, with a lead time of 5–10 business days. We also work with single pieces, but from 20 pieces the price per unit drops noticeably.

Fabric weight: the main thing to look at

Weight (g/m²) determines how the hoodie looks after washing and how warm it is. In practice:

  • 240 g/m² — lighter, more breathable. Suits events, indoor work, summer evenings. In the catalogue: Charon 240 g/m² unisex hoodie (58 colours) and Charon 240 g/m² unisex full-zip hoodie (56 colours).
  • 280 g/m² — the universal middle ground. Holds its shape, print looks stable. In the catalogue: Urban 280 g/m² men's hoodie (315 colours), Urban 280 g/m² women's hoodie (85 colours), Jasper 280 g/m² OCS organic cotton unisex hoodie (96 colours).
  • 300 g/m² — the heaviest, distinctly soft on the inside. In the catalogue: Arora 300 g/m² unisex hoodie (114 colours) and Arora 300 g/m² unisex full-zip hoodie (82 colours).

If the hoodie will be work wear worn every day, choose 280–300 g/m². If it's a one-off event set, 240 g/m² is enough.

What works for a team

For a team order, the key things are size availability, colour repeatability in the next batch, and whether the model comes in men's, women's and kids' cuts.

  • Sports clubs and schools: the Urban 280 g/m² line — available as men's, women's and kids' hoodies (kids' version in 130 colours), so the whole team plus the youth group can be in the same colour.
  • Cafés and restaurants: Clasica 280 g/m² unisex crewneck sweatshirt — no hood, safer in the kitchen and at the till, 266 colours.
  • Two-colour solution: Badet 280 g/m² two-tone unisex hoodie (63 colours) and Badet 280 g/m² kids' two-tone hoodie — work well if the brand identity has two colours.

For team wear, we recommend embroidery: it withstands frequent washing and still looks neat after a season. Read more about techniques on our garment printing page and in the sweatshirts and jackets section.

What works as a gift

With a gift, people notice the material and the details, not the logo size. That's why we recommend for gifts:

  • Jasper 280 g/m² OCS organic cotton unisex hoodie — certified organic cotton, 96 colours. A good choice for year-end gifts for staff.
  • Jasper 280 g/m² OCS organic cotton and recycled material unisex full-zip hoodie — 86 colours, easier to put on without messing up your hair or make-up.
  • Arora 300 g/m² unisex crewneck sweatshirt (70 colours) — a more classic silhouette, also suits the office.

For gifts, we size the logo down: 60–80 mm wide on the left chest or on the sleeve. Tone-on-tone embroidery (for example, dark grey on black) looks discreet and gets worn more often.

Comparing printing techniques

TechniqueBest forMinimumColoursNotes
Screen printing50+ pcs, same designfrom 30 pcs1–4Lowest cost at high volumes, thin print
DTF transfer1–100 pcs, photos and gradients1 pcunlimitedFlexible, good for small orders
Embroideryteam wear, logo up to 100 mmfrom 10 pcsup to 8–10 thread coloursMost durable, not suited to fine text
Sublimationlight-coloured polyester items only1 pcunlimitedNot used on cotton hoodies

Fine text under 4 mm blurs in embroidery — in that case, DTF transfer is the better option. If the logo has thin outlines and several tones, also choose DTF.

Indicative prices and lead times

Prices are shown excl. VAT, per piece, including one print location. The exact price depends on the model, colour, quantity and print size.

Lead times: DTF transfer and embroidery usually take 5–8 business days from design approval, screen printing for larger volumes 7–10 business days. Urgent jobs can be arranged by agreement, depending on whether the chosen colour and sizes are in stock.

Size breakdown and files

The most common mistake is ordering the same size for everyone or forgetting XXL. For a group without a precise survey, the following breakdown works: S 10%, M 25%, L 30%, XL 25%, XXL 10%. If the team is mostly men, shift 10% from S to XXL.

The artwork needs to be vector-based — .ai, .eps or .pdf, with text converted to outlines and colours in CMYK or Pantone. If you only have a PNG or JPG, just let us know — we'll redraw your logo in vector, usually within one business day. Before production, we send a visualisation on the chosen model's colour so you can see how the logo looks on dark or light fabric.

Alongside hoodies, T-shirts and caps are often ordered as a set — that way you get one order, one delivery and matching print colour.

FAQ

Can I order a single hoodie with a logo?

Yes. With DTF transfer, the minimum is 1 piece. The price per unit in that case is the highest — from EUR 24 excl. VAT depending on the model. For screen printing, the minimum is 30 pieces.

How long does the print last after washing?

Embroidery practically doesn't wear out for the garment's entire lifetime. DTF transfer, when washed correctly (40°C, inside out, no tumble dryer, no ironing over the print), withstands 40–50 washes. Screen printing on cotton performs similarly to DTF.

How do I choose between a hoodie and a crewneck sweatshirt?

A hood suits a more casual environment — sports clubs, schools, event teams. A crewneck sweatshirt (Clasica 280 g/m² or Arora 300 g/m²) looks more formal and is more practical if the garment is worn under outerwear or in client-facing work.

Are all the shades listed in the catalogue available in every size?

No. Popular colours (black, grey, navy, white) usually have the full size range; rarer shades may be out of stock in some sizes. We check availability at the time of order and send alternatives before confirmation.

Can I reorder the same batch after six months?

Yes, we keep the artwork, thread and print colour codes, as well as the model number. The only risk is if the manufacturer discontinues that model's colour or size — in that case, we offer the closest matching alternative.
