Calendars with Logo Printing and Christmas Cards: Seasonal Guide
When to order calendars with logo printing and Christmas cards, what formats are available, approximate prices for 100–500 pcs, and file requirements.

If you're planning calendars with logo printing and Christmas cards for this season, your order should be confirmed by 20–25 November: the standard production time is 5–10 business days, and queues get longer during the first half of December. As a guide, an A3 wall calendar with spiral binding at 100 pcs costs from EUR 7/pc, an A5 desk calendar with a stand from EUR 5/pc, and a double-sided A6 card on 300 g paper from EUR 0.35/pc at 250 pcs (prices excl. VAT, depending on quantity and finishing).
Timeline: a realistic schedule in October and November
Right now, mid-October, is the ideal time to finalise your artwork. In practice, the work breaks down as follows:
- By 5 November — artwork, texts, photos, data check (public holidays, company-specific dates).
- By 20–25 November — order confirmation and deposit, so production is ready before 10 December.
- First week of December — the last chance for small print runs (up to 100 pcs) and simple cards without foil stamping.
- Rush orders — possible by agreement, but expect limited paper and finishing options.
If you're posting cards to partners abroad, allow an extra 5–7 days for delivery.
Calendar types and approximate prices
| Product | Format / finish | 50 pcs | 100 pcs | 500 pcs |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Poster calendar | A2 or A1, single sheet, 170 g | from EUR 5.50 | from EUR 3.50 | from EUR 1.80 |
| Wall calendar | A3, 12+1 sheets, metal spiral | from EUR 9.50 | from EUR 7.00 | from EUR 4.50 |
| Desk calendar | A5 with cardboard stand, 13 sheets | from EUR 6.50 | from EUR 5.00 | from EUR 3.20 |
| Calendar notepad | A4, glued pad, monthly sheets | from EUR 8.00 | from EUR 6.00 | from EUR 3.80 |
Prices are approximate, excl. VAT. The final amount depends on the number of sheets, paper thickness, lamination, and whether custom artwork is needed. Wall and desk calendars typically use 170–250 g paper; if the calendar is meant for writing on, only the cover is laminated so a pen can be used on the pages.
Poster calendars are the most cost-effective option for large print runs — we produce them as posters in large format, and at a run of 500 pcs the cost per unit drops below two euros.
Christmas cards: formats and finishing
The most commonly ordered options:
- A6 double-sided card (105×148 mm), 300 g clay-coated or designer paper — from EUR 0.35/pc at 250 pcs.
- A5 folded card (folded from A4), with space inside for a handwritten message — from EUR 0.65/pc at 250 pcs.
- Square 148×148 mm card with a matching envelope — from EUR 0.55/pc.
- Additional finishing: matte or silk lamination (+EUR 0.05–0.10), gold or silver foil stamping (+EUR 0.15–0.35 depending on area), embossing, rounded corners.
Envelopes are added on request; plain white C6 envelopes cost approximately EUR 0.08–0.15/pc, with printed logo — more. If you'd like personalised texts (recipient's name, individual message), digital printing makes this possible from as few as 25 pcs. For cards and other small-format products, see business cards and cards.
Design tip
Don't put your logo in the centre of a Christmas card — it ends up looking like an advert. A better approach: a visual image or illustration on the front, with the logo and contact details small, on the back or at the bottom of the card. Leave at least 5 mm of clearance from the cut line for any text.
Planners with logo printing — an alternative to the calendar
If the gift is intended for clients or employees rather than mass distribution, a dated planner is a more practical solution. From our catalogue, the following are available:
- Moleskine hardcover 12-month L-size daily planner — paper, hard covers; suitable printing methods include hot foil stamping, embossing, screen printing, or pad printing.
- Moleskine hardcover 12-month weekly planner L — more generous note space for each week.
- Moleskine hardcover 12-month L-size weekly planner, vertical and horizontal weekly planner with hard covers, 12 months, L size — depending on how a person plans their day.
- Moleskine XL weekly planner with hard covers, 12 months and Moleskine XL weekly planner with soft covers — the largest format for desk work.
- Moleskine hardcover 12-month pocket-size (PK) daily planner and Moleskine softcover 12-month weekly planner PK — pocket size.
- Moleskine hardcover undated L-size weekly planner — undated, so it won't go unused if the gift reaches the recipient in February.
- Desk-Mate® A5 hardcover bound undated diary and Desk-Mate® A5 notebook with hard covers — litho printing available, including full colour, so the entire cover can be printed, not just the logo.
For Moleskine products, we usually recommend hot foil stamping or embossing — it looks like part of the product rather than something stuck on. For the full range of promotional products with logo printing, see our promotional products catalogue.
File preparation
Send logos and illustrations as vector files (.ai, .eps, .pdf), colours in CMYK. Photos need a minimum resolution of 300 dpi at actual size — a photo taken on a phone usually isn't sufficient for an A3 calendar. Add a 3 mm bleed on each side of the artwork.
If you don't have artwork ready, we can prepare it: a simple card design from EUR 35, a 13-sheet calendar layout from EUR 90. We always send a PDF for approval before printing; for larger print runs a digital sample is also possible.
Quantities and how to save
We can work with a single piece, but savings really start at 100–250 pcs. Two practical ways to cut costs: produce one universal card without the year printed on it (so it can be reused for other occasions), and combine your card and calendar orders into a single order — this way paper and setup costs are shared, and the total is usually 8–12% lower. You'll find our other printing services in our catalogue section.
Frequently asked questions
How long does it take to get calendars with logo printing?
The standard turnaround is 5–10 business days from artwork approval. In the second half of November, lead times get longer, so we recommend confirming your order by 25 November. Rush jobs are possible by agreement.
What's the minimum print run for Christmas cards?
With digital printing we start from 25 pcs, but the price per piece drops significantly at 250 pcs and above. If you only need a few representative cards, we can also produce just 10 pcs.
Can you print each employee's name on the calendars?
Yes, digital printing allows variable data — names, job titles, or individual messages. We'll need a list in Excel format; personalisation is charged at approximately EUR 0.05–0.15/pc depending on the area.
What's better for a Moleskine planner — hot foil stamping or screen printing?
Hot foil stamping (gold, silver, matte black) suits a simple vector logo and looks understated. Screen printing is better suited to larger areas and bright colours. For multi-colour logos, we usually recommend digital printing.
How large an area can be printed?
For Desk-Mate® A5 books with litho printing, the entire cover can be printed in full colour. For Moleskine products, the printable area is typically 60–120 mm wide on the front cover or the elastic band area — we'll send exact dimensions with the artwork template.
Send us your logo and planned quantity at info@attaprint.lv or call +371 25776699 (also on WhatsApp) — we'll prepare a quote with several options within one business day. Office in Riga, Kandavas iela 29A; contact details are also available on the Contacts page.
