Easter Stickers and Gifts for Food Producers: A Guide

How much do Easter stickers cost, which materials suit food packaging, and by what date should you order to receive them before 20 April?

Easter stickers on food jars and packaging, bunny and egg shapes

Easter stickers are the fastest way for a food producer to give existing packaging a seasonal update — a round Ø40 mm sticker in a run of 500 pcs costs around €0.11 per piece (excl. VAT), while a die-cut bunny or egg shape starts from €0.19 per piece in a run of a thousand. Production time is usually 3–5 business days for stickers and 5–10 business days for printed promotional products. If you need the goods before Easter (20 April in 2025), the order and finished artwork should be submitted by 9–11 April.

Why a sticker instead of new packaging

For small and medium producers, a new packaging run means a minimum of 1,000+ pieces and several weeks of lead time. A sticker works differently: the base packaging stays the same, only the seasonal accent changes. In practice, three types are most commonly ordered:

  • Brand sticker with an Easter motif — replaces or complements the existing label on a jar, box or bag.
  • Extra accent sticker — a small round Ø30–40 mm sticker with text such as "Easter edition" or a bunny graphic, applied on top of the main label.
  • Closure sticker — a die-cut shape that seals a paper bag, gift box or fabric wrapping.

The third option is especially popular with bakeries, confectioneries and home producers who sell at markets and fairs around Easter.

Materials: matte or gloss self-adhesive film

Matte film looks calmer, suits artisan-style brands well, and can be written on with a pen — handy if you need to hand-write a batch or expiry date on the label. Gloss film gives more saturated colours and is more resistant to moisture, so it's the choice for products stored in the fridge or that may develop condensation.

What to consider for food packaging

  • The sticker is applied to the outside of the packaging and doesn't come into contact with the product. If you plan to apply it to a surface that will get wet, let us know in advance — we'll choose a suitable adhesive.
  • Adhesive doesn't bond as well on cold, condensation-covered glass. Jars should be allowed to warm to room temperature before applying stickers.
  • Uneven and porous surfaces (craft paper, fabric bags) need a larger contact area, so very small die-cut shapes aren't practical there.
  • Mandatory food information — ingredients, allergens, net weight, expiry date, producer — should be planned into the artwork from the start. It's better to leave a plain area of sufficient size than to try to find room for it afterwards.

Prices and run sizes

Indicative prices per piece, excl. VAT, CMYK digital printing on self-adhesive film, die-cut to shape:

Sticker100 pcs500 pcs1000 pcs2000 pcs
Ø40 mm round~€0.30~€0.11~€0.07~€0.05
50×50 mm square~€0.32~€0.12~€0.08~€0.06
70×100 mm label~€0.55~€0.22~€0.15~€0.11
Die-cut shape (egg, bunny)~€0.70~€0.28~€0.19~€0.14

The minimum order value in practice is around €30, since setup and cutting work doesn't depend on quantity. If you combine two or three different designs in the same size within one order, the price per piece stays nearly the same as for a single design — useful if your Easter line includes several products. For more on materials and shapes, see the stickers section.

Easter gifts for customers, shops and your team

For food producers, Easter is also a time to meet trade partners and store buyers. The most popular choices from our catalogue are:

  • Tote bags with logo — practical as gift wrapping for a product bundle; screen printing in one or two colours, from around €3.50/pc in larger runs. See the bags section.
  • Notebooks and pens — for tasting sets and fair bundles, from €0.60/pc for a pen with single-colour printing.
  • Mugs and thermal mugs — a seasonal design with a bunny or egg motif also works after Easter if you print a dateless brand version.
  • Water bottles and thermal bottles — a long-lasting gift for your team, with laser engraving or printing.
  • Aprons, T-shirts and caps — for bakeries and cafés running at full capacity over Easter; DTF transfer suits small quantities, screen printing from 30–50 pieces.

The full range is available on the promotional products page. We also work with single pieces, but the unit price drops significantly with larger runs.

Deadlines: when to order to make it in time

Easter falls on 20 April this year, and shop shelves need to be ready a week in advance. Use these dates as a guide:

We accept urgent jobs by agreement — sticker runs of up to 500 pieces can sometimes be produced in 2–3 business days if the artwork is technically correct.

Files: what to prepare

Vector graphics in .ai, .eps or .pdf format are optimal, colours in CMYK. Practical tips:

  • Cut line on a separate, named layer.
  • 2–3 mm bleed and at least a 3 mm safe zone for text from the edge.
  • Raster images at least 300 dpi at actual size.
  • Fonts converted to outlines or embedded in the file.
  • Black text — 100% K, not four-colour black; this is critical for small type.

If you don't have artwork, we can help prepare it — usually a vector logo, product information and a note on the desired mood is enough. Other printing services can be viewed in the services section.

FAQ

How long do I need to wait for Easter stickers?

The standard lead time is 3–5 business days from artwork approval. Runs of up to 500 pieces can be produced in 1–2 business days on an urgent basis if the files are print-ready.

Can stickers be applied to food packaging?

Yes, on the outside of the packaging. Self-adhesive film isn't intended for direct contact with food, so it isn't applied to the product itself or the inside of the packaging. If the sticker will go on a wet or frozen surface, this should be mentioned in your order.

What's the minimum run size?

We can technically produce as few as 25–50 pieces, but the unit price is then high, since the setup work stays the same. The minimum order value in practice is around €30 excl. VAT.

Can a sticker be cut into an egg or bunny shape?

Yes, die-cutting is a standard service. It requires a vector cut line on a separate layer; we recommend rounding off very fine details and sharp points so the sticker peels off the backing more easily.

Can several designs be combined in one order?

Yes. If the size and material are the same, several designs in one run cost almost as much as a single design — it's the most cost-effective way to give your whole product line a seasonal look.

How much does a gift set with a logo cost?

It depends on the content. A tote bag with single-colour printing, a notebook and a pen together cost around €5–7 per set in a run of 100 pieces, excl. VAT and excluding product content.
