Umbrellas with logo: folding, golf and automatic
A practical guide to umbrellas with logo: sizes from 21.5" to 30", printing techniques, indicative prices and 5–10 business day turnaround.

Umbrellas with logo are one of the most practical promotional products in Latvia — given our climate, they're used eight months a year, and one umbrella lasts 2–4 seasons. In practice, the choice is between three types: folding 21.5" (fits in a bag, indicatively from EUR 7/pc excl. VAT), classic 23" with automatic opening (from EUR 9) and golf 30" (from EUR 12). Printing is possible with screen printing, sublimation or DTF transfer, with production time usually 5–10 business days depending on quantity.
Three umbrella types and what they're for
Folding (21.5")
Folding umbrellas are the most universal option for conferences, client gifts and staff sets. They fold into 3 sections and fit into a handbag or briefcase pocket. From our catalogue: Alex 21.5" with full automation (opens and closes at the push of a button, polyester, 11 colours) and Ida 21.5" — a simpler, manually opened model in 10 colours. Alex costs about EUR 1.5–2 more than Ida, but the automatic mechanism is what the customer notices the first time they use it.

Classic (23") with automatic opening
A straight-shaft umbrella with a full 23" canopy — better protection than a folding model, but not yet golf size. Lisa 23" with a wooden handle (8 colours) looks representative and suits hotels, offices, law firms and real estate companies well. Barry 23" is a simpler polyester model in 7 colours — a good middle-ground choice when you need 100+ pieces in a single corporate colour.
Golf (30")
Golf umbrellas are the choice for events, sports clubs and outdoor retail: two people can comfortably stand under a 30" canopy. Karl 30" with a wooden handle (10 colours) and Yfke 30" with an EVA handle (polyester, 9 colours) — Yfke's handle is lighter and doesn't slip in wet hands, while Karl looks more classic. Golf umbrellas have the largest print area: each of the 8 panels can carry a logo, or one large image can cover the whole canopy.
Printing techniques: which to choose
| Technique | Number of colours | When to use | Minimum quantity |
|---|---|---|---|
| Screen printing | 1–4 colours | Simple logo, large runs | 25 pcs |
| Sublimation | Full colour | Photos, gradients, whole canopy | 50 pcs |
| DTF transfer | Full colour | Small runs with a complex logo | 1 pc |
| Heat transfer | 1–2 colours | Precise outline logos | 25 pcs |
Screen printing is the most cost-effective option when the logo has 1–2 colours and the quantity exceeds 50 pieces — the per-unit printing cost drops, with the extra colour setup charged only once. Sublimation allows printing across the entire canopy, but only works on light-coloured polyester fabrics. DTF transfer is the solution when you need 5–20 pieces with a colourful logo — with no screen setup costs.
Raincoats and ponchos are a different case: on the Ziva disposable poncho with storage pouch, printing is done as a digital sticker on the pouch — a practical addition for outdoor events and festivals where umbrellas are impractical.

Prices are indicative, excl. VAT, with single-colour printing on one panel. The exact amount depends on quantity, number of colours, number of print locations and the availability of the specific colour in stock. You can browse the full range of promotional products in the promotional products catalogue, or the umbrella range in the umbrella category.
Colours and corporate identity
Most umbrellas in the catalogue are available in 7–11 colours, so it's usually possible to find a shade close to your brand colour. If exact matching is critical, there are two options: choose a black or dark blue canopy with a bright logo (the safer solution), or sublimate the entire canopy in your colour — this requires a larger run and a longer turnaround.
Practical tip: on dark fabric, a white or single-colour logo looks better than a multi-colour visual. Complex gradients cannot be reproduced on dark polyester — in that case, it's better to switch to a lighter canopy colour.
Turnaround and files
The standard turnaround from artwork approval is 5–10 business days: usually 5–7 days for folding models, and 7–10 days for golf umbrellas printed across multiple panels. If umbrellas are needed for a specific event, allow an extra 3–5 days as a buffer and order at least 3 weeks in advance. Urgent orders are possible by arrangement.
Please send your logo as vector artwork (.ai, .eps, .pdf) with CMYK colours and outlined fonts. Before production, we prepare a visualisation showing scale and logo placement on the canopy — approval takes place by e-mail. If you don't have a vector file, we can recreate one from a raster image for an additional fee.
Umbrella as part of a set
Umbrellas work well together with rainwear — the Escocia lightweight rain jacket (24 colours), Sitka men's and women's raincoats (18 colours), or Langley and Maxson softshell jackets for outdoor staff. Jackets with embroidery or DTF printing are produced separately; see the garment printing section for details.
Frequently asked questions
Can I order 10 umbrellas with a logo?
Yes. With DTF transfer we can work from as little as 1 piece, so a small order is possible. The price per piece will be higher — for 10 pieces, expect roughly EUR 13–17 excl. VAT depending on the model.
How long does it take to get umbrellas with printing?
Usually 5–10 business days from artwork approval. Folding models with single-colour printing are faster; golf umbrellas printed across multiple panels take longer.
How many panels can carry a logo?
Technically all 8 canopy panels, but in practice the most common choice is 2 or 4 opposite panels — the logo is visible from any direction, and the price stays reasonable. Each extra panel increases the printing cost.
Which model is best suited for an outdoor event?
Golf 30" — Yfke with an EVA handle or Karl with a wooden handle. Their canopy covers two people, and the stronger frame withstands wind better than a folding model.
Will the printing withstand rain and washing?
Screen printing and sublimation on polyester are durable for the entire lifespan of the umbrella. DTF transfer also withstands rain, but isn't designed for mechanical abrasion — don't scrub the canopy with brushes.
