Printing techniques and their durability
Screen printing
A thick layer of ink, resistant to washing. Suitable for single- or two-colour logos on flat lid surfaces. For MIYO and Mepal Take-a-break models, this is the most commonly used technique.
Pad printing
Suitable for small logos and uneven or rounded surfaces, such as the Mepal Ellipse series. The print area is typically up to around 40 x 25 mm.
Digital printing
Allows full-colour logos, gradients and photographs to be printed. Used for MIYO, MIYO POP and Mepal Take-a-break models when the brand has multiple colours or complex graphics.
Doming sticker and laser engraving
The Dovi 800 ml can be printed with a full-colour doming sticker — a resin coating that creates a 3D effect. The bamboo part of the Runa cutlery set can be laser engraved; the engraving is monochrome but permanent.
