Branded Toys for Children's Events: A Practical Guide

How to choose branded board games and toys for children's events: models from our catalogue, printing techniques, approximate prices and lead times of 3–10 business days.

Wooden board games and toys with an engraved logo at a children's event

Branded toys for children's events are most often ordered in batches of 50–300 pieces, with approximate prices starting from around EUR 2.50 per piece (excl. VAT) for simpler plastic products, up to EUR 6–9 for wooden board games with laser engraving. The standard production time is 5–10 business days after artwork approval, depending on the printing technique and quantity; urgent jobs in Riga can be arranged by separate agreement. The key things to decide before requesting a quote: how many pieces, how many colours in the logo, and whether the printing will be in one or several locations.

Who are branded toys for

In practice, branded giveaways for children's events are ordered by three types of clients. The first are municipalities and schools — Family Day, Children's Day, end-of-school-year events — needing a uniform set for 100–500 children. The second are sports clubs and camps, who need something durable enough for outdoor use. The third are companies organising family days for employees or putting together gift sets for clients' children.

The difference between a well-chosen and a poorly-chosen gift usually comes down to one question: can it still be played with a week after the event? A wooden puzzle or a flying disc passes that test; a thin plastic trinket doesn't.

Models from our catalogue

For children's and family events, we currently most often offer these four products:

  • Bark wooden puzzle — an indoor game, single base colour, printed using laser engraving, pad printing or a digital sticker. Suitable for ages 4+, works well as a board game for school classrooms and children's corners in cafés.
  • Max plastic flying disc — an outdoor game (listed in the catalogue as a dog toy, but in practice also bought for sports events), printed using screen printing. The cheapest way to get a large, highly visible logo.
  • Aggia phone stand made from recycled plastic with a fidget toy — available in 4 colours, plastic. Better suited to teenagers and adult audiences, as it combines a fidget function with a phone stand.
  • Algol phone stand and fidget toy made from recycled plastic with bamboo parts — printed using laser engraving or pad printing. The bamboo surface allows the logo to be engraved without colour, giving it a neater look than a printed version.

We check availability and current colours for all four products at the time of ordering — the catalogue changes, and stock needs to be reserved immediately for large batches. See a wider range in the promotional products with logo section.

Approximate prices and quantities

Prices are approximate, excl. VAT, and include single-colour printing in one location. The exact price depends on quantity, number of colours and printing technique.

We also work with orders of a single piece — for example, if you need a sample for approval or just one gift. For a single piece, however, setup costs (printing plate, engraving file) are spread over just one unit, so the price will be considerably higher. The real price drop starts from 100 pieces, and becomes significant from 250–300.

How to choose the printing technique

Laser engraving

Suitable for wood and bamboo. The logo is engraved into the material, so it doesn't wear off or fade. Limitation — single colour only (the material's natural tone), so multi-colour logos need to be redrawn as a single-colour version.

Pad printing

For small, curved or irregular surfaces. Cost-effective from 100+ pieces, allows printing in 1–2 colours. Typical print area — 30–40 mm wide.

Screen printing

For flat plastic surfaces, such as a flying disc. Allows a large print area and saturated colours.

Digital sticker

For multi-colour logos and images on a puzzle box or surface. Suitable for small quantities where printing plates aren't cost-effective.

What to add to the set

For a children's event, a toy is rarely the only item. In practice, we usually combine the following in a single order:

  • Stickers with the event logo or characters — the cheapest add-on, from around EUR 0.08 per piece for larger batches. See sticker printing.
  • Tote bags for packaging gift sets — the child can keep using it after the event too.
  • T-shirts for organisers and volunteers, so children and parents can immediately see who to approach.
  • Posters (A3–A0) and banners at the event venue, including photo walls.

If you're organising an event with several activity stations, it's worth ordering all the printing in one go — that way the colour tone matches and you save on logistics. You'll find all our printing services in our catalogue section.

Files and lead times

Send your logo as vector graphics (.ai, .eps or .pdf), colours in CMYK or Pantone. If you only have a .png or .jpg, redrawing it usually takes 1 business day. Laser engraving requires a single-colour outline without gradients or shadows.

Workflow: quote within one business day → artwork showing print location and size → your approval → production in 5–10 business days. For children's events, we recommend ordering at least 3 weeks in advance, as during the spring season (April–June) stock moves fast and a specific colour may run out.

Safety and practical limitations

If gifts are intended for children under 3 years old, please let our project manager know in advance — some products, including fidget-type toys with small parts, aren't suitable for this age group. A wooden puzzle or flying disc is a safer choice for mixed age groups. We can prepare an extract of certificates and labelling documentation if the customer is a municipality or school and this is required for procurement documentation.

Frequently asked questions

How long should I allow from order to delivery?

The standard lead time is 5–10 business days after artwork approval. Laser engraving is usually the fastest (5–7 days), while screen printing on large batches takes 7–10 days. Urgent jobs are arranged by separate agreement.

What's the minimum order quantity?

We also work with orders of just 1 piece, though setup costs are then spread over a single unit. An economically sensible quantity starts from 50–100 pieces; for larger volumes, the price per piece drops by 20–30%.

Can the logo be printed in multiple colours?

Yes, if using pad printing, screen printing or a digital sticker. Laser engraving is always single-colour — the logo is engraved into the material. The Aggia stand is available in 4 colours, so a colour effect can also be achieved simply by choosing the product itself.

What format should the logo be sent in?

Vector graphics: .ai, .eps or .pdf, colours in CMYK. We can redraw raster files (.png, .jpg), which usually takes one business day.

Can you pack the gifts into bags?

Yes. We handle packaging (toy + stickers + bag) at Kandavas iela 29A, Riga; costs depend on the contents and quantity of the set, usually EUR 0.30–0.80 per set.

Send us your planned quantity, event date and logo file to info@attaprint.lv or message us on WhatsApp at +371 25776699 — project manager Madara will prepare a quote within one business day. If you're not yet sure which product suits your audience, give us a call and we'll discuss options based on your budget and the children's age.
