Tattoo Studio Supplies: Aftercare Cards, T-shirts, Stickers

A practical guide for tattoo studios: aftercare instruction cards, stickers with your logo and studio T-shirts — formats, quantities, indicative prices and turnaround times.

Tattoo studio supplies: aftercare cards, T-shirts, stickers

In practice, tattoo studio materials come down to three things: aftercare instruction cards (usually A6 or 90×50 mm on 300–350 gsm card), stickers with the studio's graphics (in sheets or rolls, from 100 pcs), and T-shirts or hoodies for artists with a 110×90 mm chest print. Cards and stickers are produced in 1–3 business days, printed clothing usually in 4–7 business days; in digital printing we can also do a single piece, but the price per piece drops noticeably from 250–500 pcs.

Aftercare instruction cards

The card a client takes home works both as instructions and as advertising. In practice, a double-sided format works best: one side with step-by-step instructions by day (removing the bandage, washing, applying cream, what not to do), the other with the studio logo, artist's name, phone number, Instagram account and the location for the next session.

Recommended formats:

  • A6 (105×148 mm) — the most commonly used; enough room for 8–10 points in a readable 9–10 pt font.
  • A5 (148×210 mm) — if the instructions also cover piercing, permanent makeup, or separate rules for underage clients.
  • 90×50 mm — a pocket card like a business card with a QR code linking to the full instructions on your website.

Material: 300–350 gsm card. Matte lamination makes the card resistant to grease and water — useful, since clients often keep it in the bathroom. If you plan to write the date or artist's name by hand, leave one area unlaminated, or choose unlaminated 350 gsm card instead.

Stickers with studio graphics

Stickers disappear from a studio faster than you'd expect: on the aftercare kit bag, on the card like a stamp, on the door, on a client's water bottle, on the mirror. We print on paper, PP film, vinyl, transparent and metallic films — in sheets or rolls, with contour cutting to the shape of the logo.

  • PP film, white — the standard for kits and packaging; withstands moisture.
  • Transparent film — the logo appears to "float" on glass or on a see-through bag.
  • Vinyl — for doors, display cases, workstation cabinets; withstands cleaning with disinfectant.
  • Paper — the cheapest option for sealing; not meant for damp environments.

We start quantities from 100 pcs. Rolls are more convenient if you're applying the sticker dozens of times a day — sheets are more economical if you need several sizes at once.

Studio T-shirts and hoodies

Clothing for artists needs two things: a dark colour (ink and cream don't leave visible marks) and a durable print that withstands frequent washing at 40°C. Screen printing is cost-effective from 20–30 pcs in one colour, DTF transfer suits small quantities and multicolour graphics, and embroidery works best for polo shirts and caps where you need a hard-wearing logo.

Standard print placements used for artwork sizing:

PlacementMaximum size
Left chest110×90 mm
Front / backup to 280×210 mm
Sleeve80×60 mm
Embroideryup to 90×90 mm

The most popular combination: a small logo on the left chest and a larger design on the back — visible to the client sitting in the chair. More on technologies and materials: garment printing and T-shirts in the catalogue.

Files and turnaround times

Send logos and graphics in vector format (.ai, .eps, .pdf, .svg), CMYK; for raster images, 300 dpi at actual size. For cards, leave a 3 mm bleed area and keep text at least 4 mm from the edge. For printing on dark fabric, a single-colour black-and-white file also works well — it always looks cleaner than gradients.

Turnaround times: stickers, cards and posters 1–3 business days; printed clothing and promotional products usually 6–10 business days (production 4–7 days depending on quantity, plus 2–3 days delivery). Urgent orders, for example ahead of a convention or open day, are planned by agreement.

Frequently asked questions

How many aftercare cards should I order to start?

If your studio has 2–3 artists, a practical starting quantity is 500 pcs — the price per piece is already roughly half of what it is at 100 pcs, and the text usually doesn't change for a year or two. If your instructions are still a work in progress, start with 100 pcs and see how clients use them.

Do the stickers withstand moisture and disinfectants?

PP film and vinyl stickers do — they can be wiped with an alcohol-based cleaner. Paper stickers are only suitable for dry environments and one-off sealing.

From how many pieces do studio T-shirts become cost-effective?

DTF transfer has no minimum quantity — you can order 2–3 shirts for a single artist. Screen printing becomes more cost-effective from around 20–30 pcs in one colour, as the setup fee is spread over a larger quantity.

Can you prepare the artwork if I only have a logo?

Yes. Send the logo in vector format along with the instruction text, and we'll put together the card artwork and send it for approval by email. For promotional products, we can add a 3D preview with your logo on request.

How long do I have to wait for a quote?

We send quotes within one business day — online and as a PDF with product images, prices, print placement, setup fee and turnaround time for each item.

Can I order everything in one order?

Yes, cards, stickers, T-shirts and catalogue items can all go into one quote and one invoice; delivery is scheduled according to the longest lead time, or sent in two batches.

Email info@attaprint.lv or call or message us on WhatsApp at +371 25776699 — let us know how many artists work at your studio and what quantities you need, and we'll prepare a quote with prices and turnaround times within one business day.
