Shop stickers, price tags and bags: a guide for retail

A practical guide for retail chains and shops: which stickers, price tags, shop window graphics and logo bags work best day to day, with approximate prices and turnaround times.

Shop shelf with price tags and shop window stickers

Shop stickers in practice fall into three groups: shelf and price labelling (paper or white matte self-adhesive film, often A4 sheets or contour-cut), shop window and door graphics (printed self-adhesive film, frosted glass effect, cut letters), and packaging stickers for product boxes or bags. As a guide, price tag sheets start from around EUR 2.50 per A4 sheet for small quantities, contour-cut stickers from around EUR 0.12 per piece at 500 pcs, and shop window printing from around EUR 24/m² — all prices excl. VAT. Standard turnaround is 3–10 business days depending on the product and quantity; urgent jobs can be arranged by agreement.

Which stickers a shop needs most often

In a shop, printed materials work at two different speeds. Some are long-term — the logo on the door, opening hours, window design that stays the same for a year or two. Others need quick replacement — promotional price tags, seasonal notices, labelling for new product groups.

Price tags and shelf labelling

Two solutions are most commonly used for price tags. If prices change often, we make cardboard cards or shelf strips that slot into holders — they're not glued down and can be rearranged. If the labelling is static (barcode, product group number, warnings), white matte self-adhesive film with contour cutting to shape works well.

It makes sense to produce promotional price tags in batches: one design, a changeable number. It's practical to prepare blank templates with your colours and logo, where the price is filled in with a marker in-store — covering a whole season with a single order.

Shop window and door stickers

Three options are typically used for shop windows:

  • Full-colour print on transparent or white film — campaign visuals, discount percentages, new collection. Clearly visible from the street, but blocks the view into the shop.
  • Frosted glass effect film — used for the lower part of the window, the till area, or office glass. A logo or pattern can be cut into it.
  • Cut letters with no background — opening hours, phone number, "push/pull" on doors, payment card signs. A visually clean solution, suitable for smaller text.

For stickers applied outside, expect a lifespan of 2–3 years in Latvia's climate; film applied from the inside lasts longer. For more detail on materials and formats, see our stickers section.

Approximate prices and quantities

Prices are approximate, excl. VAT, and depend on quantity, material and print complexity.

ProductQuantityApproximate price
Stickers on A4 sheet, matte film1–10 sheetsfrom EUR 2.50/sheet
Contour-cut stickers 50×50 mm500 pcsfrom EUR 0.12/pc
Contour-cut stickers 50×50 mm2000 pcsfrom EUR 0.06/pc
Price cards A6, card stock250 pcsfrom EUR 0.18/pc
Shop window printing on film1–5 m²from EUR 24/m²
Frosted glass effect with cutting1–5 m²from EUR 32/m²
Tote bag with 1-colour print100 pcsfrom EUR 3.50/pc

If a price tag design repeats, it's more cost-effective to produce one larger batch per quarter rather than 20 pieces every week — the setup work is the same regardless of run size.

Bags with your shop's logo

A tote bag serves two purposes in retail: it's sold at the till as a product and used as advertising. The most popular options are cotton bags with short or long handles, heavier-fabric (200–280 g/m²) shopping bags, and small bags for food or bakery products.

For printing we offer screen printing (cost-effective from 50–100 pcs, 1–3 colours) or DTF transfer (suitable for small quantities and full-colour designs, even from 1 piece). See the range and sizes in our bags section.

If you plan to sell the bags, include a price tag and barcode sticker in your calculation too — we can produce these together with the bag order, so the product goes straight from the box to the shelf.

Till-area items and loyalty promotions

Small promotional products near the till work better when they have a practical function. From our catalogue, shopping trolley tokens with a keyring are the most popular choice for retail:

  • Rory keyring with shopping trolley token — metal, available in 4 colours, printed with laser engraving or pad printing.
  • Rhea shopping trolley keyring — aluminium, single colour, lightweight, engraves well.
  • Ronan bamboo keyring for shopping trolleys — a wood-look solution in a single colour, if your communications emphasise natural materials.

As a guide, such keyrings start from around EUR 1.20 per piece at 100 pcs with a single-colour print. You'll find the rest of the range — pens, notebooks, bottles, thermal mugs — in our promotional products section.

Files and turnaround times

We need designs in vector format (.ai, .eps, .pdf), CMYK colour space, with text converted to outlines. For contour cutting, add the cut line on a separate layer or specify where it should run. For shop window photos, 100–150 dpi at actual size is sufficient.

Standard turnaround: stickers and price cards 2–5 business days, shop window graphics 3–5 business days, screen-printed bags 5–10 business days after artwork approval. If you're opening a new shop on a specific date, send files at least two weeks in advance — this allows time for a sample and corrections.

Frequently asked questions

Can you print just a few stickers for one shop?

Yes, we work with quantities as low as 1 piece. For small quantities the unit price is higher, since the setup work stays the same, but we have no minimum order requirement.

How long do shop window stickers last on glass?

Film applied outside typically lasts around 2–3 years in Latvia's climate; film applied from the inside lasts longer. Promotional stickers are usually made from easily removable film so no adhesive residue remains after the season.

Can you install the stickers on-site at the shop?

Shop window and door graphics are prepared with application tape and instructions so you can apply them yourself. For larger jobs or complex formats, we can arrange installation separately.

How do we coordinate price tags across multiple shops in a chain?

Typically, one set of templates is created with fixed formats and variable text. We produce the whole chain's order in one batch and split it into packages for each shop — this reduces both the cost and inconsistencies between locations.

Can stickers, bags and keyrings be combined in one order?

Yes, we recommend it. One order means one round of artwork approval, one quote and one delivery; the turnaround time is set by the item with the longest production cycle.

Send us a list of formats and quantities at info@attaprint.lv or call +371 25776699 (also WhatsApp) — project manager Madara will prepare a quote within one business day. We're located at Kandavas iela 29A, Riga; see our other printing services in the shop section.
