Winter promotional products with logo: hats, scarves, gloves, thermal mugs

A guide to winter promotional products with logo — hats, scarves, gloves and thermal mugs: printing techniques, indicative prices, quantities and deadlines before the holidays.

Knitted hat, scarf, gloves and thermal mug with logo in a winter setting

Winter promotional products — knitted hats, scarves, gloves and thermal mugs — in Latvia typically cost from 1.50 EUR for an ice scraper up to 45 EUR for an insulated jacket (excl. VAT, excl. printing), and production with a logo takes 5–10 business days. If gifts are intended for Christmas, the order needs to be confirmed by around 5 December to make it in time with embroidery or printing without a rush surcharge. In this guide, we look at which winter products work best, what kind of printing suits each material, and what quantities to plan for.

Why winter products are a smart promotional choice

Unlike summer souvenirs, winter products get used daily for four to five months. A knitted hat with an embroidered logo, a thermal mug with engraving, or an ice scraper in the car door pocket stays with the recipient all season, bringing dozens of contacts with your brand every week.

The second argument is practical: winter products have a wide price range. In one campaign, you can combine an affordable mass gift (scraper, hat) with a more premium gift for key clients (thermal mug, jacket), while keeping a consistent visual style.

What's in our catalogue this season

From the winter range, these products are ordered most often:

  • Izu hat (4 colours) — a simple knitted hat that shows an embroidered or appliqué logo nicely. Suitable for sports clubs, construction and logistics companies.
  • Banff men's hybrid insulated jacket (12 colours) — an insulated jacket for team wear or as a gift for long-standing employees. An embroidered logo on the chest and a larger print on the back work well together.
  • Banff women's hybrid insulated jacket — the same model in a women's cut, so the whole team has a matching look.
  • Thrym rectangular ice scraper made from recycled plastic — a budget gift for large quantities; printed digitally, with screen printing or pad printing.
  • Chilly large ice scraper made from recycled plastic — a bigger scraper with a wider print area, digital printing or pad printing.
  • Originalhome Christmas tree candle – L and Originalhome Christmas tree candle, set of 2 – M — wax candles for holiday gift sets; in this case, the logo goes on the packaging or a card.

Scarves, gloves and thermal mugs are selected individually based on budget and colour — see the separate thermal mug range in the thermal mugs section, and hat options in the hats section.

Which printing method suits which material

Knitted hats, scarves, gloves

For stretchy textiles, embroidery works best — it withstands washing and doesn't crack. For complex, multi-colour logos, we use an appliqué jacquard patch or an embroidered badge. DTF printing is not recommended on knitwear, as the material is porous.

Thermal mugs and flasks

For stainless steel — laser engraving (durable, single tone) or UV digital printing (colour image). Dishwashers don't harm engraving, but they do affect printing, so we recommend hand-washing for colour-printed items.

Plastic accessories and scrapers

For large quantities, pad printing (1–2 colours) is the cheapest option; for colour logos, digital printing. Screen printing becomes cost-effective from around 250 pieces.

Deadlines before Christmas

Right now, in mid-November, the seasonal schedule looks like this:

  • By 5 December — orders with embroidery and engraving, provided the products are in stock.
  • By 10 December — simple printing on plastic products in small quantities.
  • After 12 December — only urgent jobs by arrangement, depending on stock availability.

The standard production time is 5–10 business days from artwork approval. If a product requires a special colour shade or custom packaging, allow an extra 5–7 business days.

How to prepare your logo file

Printing requires vector graphics: .ai, .eps or .pdf, in CMYK or Pantone colours. For embroidery, also specify the desired size in millimetres — in practice, a logo on a hat's brim is 50–60 mm wide, and on a jacket chest, 70–90 mm. If you only have a JPG or PNG, we'll redraw the logo as a vector; a simple logo costs from 20 EUR.

Before production, we always send a digital visualisation showing the logo placement on the specific product, and work begins only after written approval. You'll find a wider range of promotional products with logo in our catalogue section.

Frequently asked questions

How small can the quantity be for winter products with a logo?

Technically, we can work with even a single piece, but embroidery and engraving involve setup costs, so an economically sensible quantity starts at around 25 pieces. For ice scrapers and other plastic products, the minimum is around 50 pieces.

What's more durable on a thermal mug — engraving or colour printing?

Laser engraving is more durable: it doesn't wear off and withstands dishwasher washing. Colour UV printing allows for a full-colour logo, but such mugs are best hand-washed.

Can I order a set — a hat, scarf and gloves in one package?

Yes. We put together sets in a matching colour scheme and pack them in a gift box or a printed tote bag. Assembling and packing a set costs around 1.50–3.00 EUR per set, depending on the packaging.

How long will it take if I order now, in mid-November?

If the product is in stock and the artwork is approved, the standard time is 5–10 business days. Ordering by 5 December means we can prepare gifts before the holidays without a rush surcharge.

Can you help with the artwork if I only have a logo image?

Yes. We redraw the logo in vector format and prepare a visualisation on the chosen product. A simple logo vectorisation costs from 20 EUR excl. VAT.
