How to prepare branded gift packaging in October: stickers on boxes, paper belly bands, tags and greeting cards, with indicative prices and lead times.
Branded gift packaging usually comes together from three cheap but effective elements: a printed sticker on a plain box (from around €0.20/pc at 250 pcs, excl. VAT), a paper belly band or tag, and a greeting card with a printed message (from around €0.25/pc at 250 pcs). Printing itself takes 1–3 business days, but boxes and branded gifts need to be planned 6–10 business days ahead — which is why October is the right time to start. Below you'll find specific formats, sizes, price guidelines and a calendar leading up to Christmas.
Three elements that dress up a gift without a costly custom box
A custom-made box with full-colour printing only makes sense from a few hundred pieces. For smaller runs (20–300 sets), it's more practical to use a standard kraft paper or white box and finish it with printed elements:
- A sticker as a seal. A round sticker Ø40–70 mm or a square 50×50 mm one on the box lid or on the ribbon knot. Materials: matte paper (a classic look), white PP film (moisture-resistant), transparent film (logo "floats" on the box), metallic silver or gold film for a festive feel. Contour cutting is also possible — a snowflake, fir tree, or star shape.
- A belly band (paper strip). A 40–80 mm wide strip that wraps around the box like a ribbon. Printed on 250–350 gsm card, with a message or gift description on the inside. Often cheaper and neater than a custom-printed satin ribbon.
- A card or tag. Formats include 85×55 mm (business card size), a 90×50 mm tag with a hole for a ribbon, or a folded A6 card. The back can carry a QR code linking to your company page or a video greeting.
A practical note on ribbons
A woven or printed satin ribbon with your logo is only produced cost-effectively in large quantities and with longer lead times. For smaller volumes we take a different approach: a plain, neutral ribbon plus a logo sticker on the knot, or a printed paper belly band. The visual result is similar, but the price and lead time are notably better.

Prices are indicative and depend on the material, format, number of colours and quantity; we'll prepare an exact quote on request. We produce sticker printing both as sheets and rolls — rolls are more convenient if you'll be assembling 200 or more sets. Cards, tags and belly bands are printed with digital printing from 1 piece.
File requirements and how to avoid reprints
- Logos and text should be in vector format (.ai, .eps, .pdf, .svg), colours in CMYK. Raster images at 300 dpi at actual size.
- Cutting tolerance of 2 mm on each side; keep important elements at least 3 mm from the cut line.
- If your logo is gold or silver, in digital printing it's reproduced as a CMYK tone; a true metallic effect comes from metallic sticker film, not ink.
- Every artwork file is sent for approval by email. Production starts only after written confirmation.
There's no white ink available on dark kraft paper — digital printing doesn't print white. If your design has white elements, the solution is a sticker on white film or a lighter card for the belly band.
Lead-time calendar up to Christmas
It's currently mid-October, and that's the most convenient time to start — in December, production queues get longer and rush jobs cost more.

Stickers adhere well to kraft paper and cardboard. On fabric and non-woven material, it's better to use a DTF transfer or a hanging tag — adhesive stickers don't stay on textile for long.
