Stress Balls with Logo: When They Really Work

How much do stress balls with logo cost, when they work well as a trade show giveaway, and what's the difference between pad printing and laser engraving.

Round stress ball

Stress balls with logo are one of the cheapest trade show giveaways — in our catalogue, a round stress ball starts from EUR 0.60 per piece at 100 pcs (excl. VAT), while shaped models, such as a brain or a cow, cost around EUR 2.00–2.40. They work well when the goal is a high number of contacts and a logo that stays on someone's desk, rather than a representative gift for a specific client. Production with printing usually takes 6–10 business days, so for a trade show it's worth ordering materials at least three weeks ahead.

When a stress ball is the right choice

A stress ball is a typical "stand surface" item: people pick it up, try it on the spot and put it in their bag without much thought. That's why it works well at trade shows with high footfall, at school and university events, sports competitions and open days, where you need 300–1,000 contacts in a single day.

It doesn't work in two cases. First, if your target audience is 20–30 decision-makers — then the same budget gets a better result from a thermal mug or a quality notebook. Second, if the print area is very small and the logo is complex with fine text — on a 25–30 mm area on a ball, it simply won't be legible.

What to consider about quality

Stress shapes are made of foam material or plastic with a flexible filling. The cheaper versions regain their shape more slowly after a few dozen squeezes — that's normal for this price category. If you want the item to stay on the desk longer, choose a shaped model (football, heart, brain) — these tend to be kept rather than thrown away, because they're "interesting".

Indicative prices and quantities

Prices below are from our catalogue, excl. VAT, and do not yet include the print set-up fee (usually a one-off charge, EUR 15–35 depending on technique and number of colours).

Pad printing or laser engraving

Pad printing is a coloured print — the logo is printed with ink, and each additional colour increases the set-up fee. On light-coloured balls, it looks striking and is the best option if your brand colour matters.

Laser engraving removes the surface layer and leaves a single-colour, matte imprint. It's more durable and cheaper for small quantities, but it can't reproduce colour. For the brain-shaped model, only engraving is available.

In both cases, the logo needs to be in vector format (.ai, .eps, .pdf, .svg). If you only have a JPG or PNG, let us know — usually it can be redrawn in vector.

Silicone wristbands: different logic

A wristband isn't a desk item, it's something worn. That's why it works best where people put it on on the spot and keep it on for several days: festivals, competitions, camps, youth events, and as an entry identifier. At a B2B trade show, a wristband will rarely be worn — there, a ball is more practical.

Wristbands are made with an engraved (embossed) or coloured text, standard width 12 mm, with 15 mm and 25 mm versions also available. The minimum quantity is usually 100 pcs, and the price drops significantly at 500–1,000 pcs.

How many to order for a trade show

A practical estimate: count on 25–40% of your expected number of visitors at your stand. For a two-day trade show with 800 visitors, that means 200–300 balls. If you choose the cheap round model, the budget is around EUR 150–200 including set-up — less than the cost of a single stand day.

One important addition: a ball without context is just a small item. If you add a sticker or card with a QR code linking to your offer, the giveaway keeps working even after the event.

Lead times

Promotional products with printing usually take 6–10 business days: production 4–7 business days depending on quantity, plus delivery 2–3 days. Our own printing — stickers, business cards, posters — is ready within 1–3 business days. We review urgent jobs individually, so let us know your event date straight away.

FAQ

What's the minimum quantity for stress balls with logo?

The items themselves can be ordered from 1 pc, but with printing, the practical minimum is 50–100 pcs, as the set-up fee is spread over the run. At 100 pcs, a round stress ball is from EUR 0.60/pc excl. VAT.

Can a full-colour logo be applied?

Usually not on stress balls — pad printing in 1–2 colours or laser engraving is used there. Full-colour logos (doming sticker, digital printing) are available on other items, such as a bag's keyring tag.

How long do I wait for a quote?

We send a quote online and in PDF within one business day, with product photos, prices, print location, set-up fee and lead time for each item. On request, we also add a 3D view with your logo.

What's more cost-effective for a trade show — balls or wristbands?

For a B2B trade show, balls are more cost-effective: almost everyone picks them up, and they stay visible on the desk. Wristbands are more cost-effective for mass events, festivals and sports, where visitors put them on on the spot.

Can you deliver directly to the trade show venue?

Yes, we can arrange delivery to the specified address in Riga or elsewhere in Latvia. We recommend planning delivery at least one day before the event, to allow time to check the quantity.

Is the artwork approved before production?

Yes, we send the artwork for approval by email and only start production after your confirmation. A quick reply on the artwork shortens the overall lead time.
