Flooring and Finishing Contractor Advertising: Car Stickers, T-Shirts, Business Cards
A practical guide for flooring and wall finishing contractors: what advertising package you need on site, what it costs roughly, and what files to prepare.

In practice, advertising for a finishing contractor comes down to three things: contour-cut vinyl stickers on your van, clothing with your logo, and business cards to leave with the client. A basic package — a set of car stickers, 5 T-shirts and 100 business cards — can be put together in Latvia for roughly EUR 150–250 excl. VAT, and our printing (stickers, business cards) is ready within 1–3 business days. It's a one-off investment that works on every site and in every car park outside the building.
Why advertising works differently in the finishing trade
In flooring and wall finishing work (NACE 43.33), most orders come from referrals and from neighbours who see what's happening in the flat or building next door. That's why it's not worth spending money on broad advertising — it's far more effective to make sure your crew and van look neat wherever the job is already taking place.

The second reason is trust. A client who's about to hand over their flat for two months of renovation compares two contractors: one with no identity at all, and another with a logo on the van, on their T-shirt and on a business card. The second one can charge a higher price — and usually gets it.
Minimum advertising package and rough prices
Below is a typical package for a small finishing company or crew. Prices are indicative, excl. VAT, and depend on size, material, number of colours and quantity.
| Item | Quantity | Rough price (excl. VAT) |
|---|---|---|
| Car stickers: 2 doors + rear, contour-cut | 1 set | from EUR 60 |
| T-shirts with DTF print (chest + back) | 5 pcs | from EUR 12/pc |
| Polo shirts with logo on chest | 5 pcs | from EUR 15/pc |
| Business cards, 350 gsm, double-sided print | 100 pcs | from EUR 25 |
| A5 flyers for stairwells | 200 pcs | from EUR 35 |
| Stickers with logo (for toolboxes, quote folders) | 100 pcs | from EUR 20 |
| Roll-up banner stand 85×200 cm for a showroom or trade show | 1 pc | from EUR 90 |
The price per piece drops with larger quantities — for example, 500 business cards cost only slightly more than 100, since most of the cost is setup and prepress.
Car stickers: what's actually readable from 10 metres away
You don't need to cover the whole van. Three elements do the job: your logo or company name, one line describing the service ("Flooring and wall finishing"), and your phone number. The phone number should be the largest element after the company name — at least 8–10 cm letter height, so it's readable from the next lane.

Choosing the material:
- Contour-cut vinyl — individual letters and logo with no background, looks neat on a painted van, lasts several years.
- Full-colour sticker on white film — when the logo includes a photo, gradient or complex background.
- Magnetic sign or removable version — if the van is leased or private and the sticker needs to come off.
For vehicle graphics you need a vector file (.ai, .eps, .pdf, .svg). If your logo is just a JPG from a business card, it needs to be redrawn — otherwise the edges will look blurry at large sizes. More on materials and formats: sticker printing.
T-shirts and workwear on site
In finishing work, clothing wears out fast, so contractors usually use two levels: work T-shirts for the site, and polo shirts for meeting clients, handing over quotes, and site visits.
Standard print areas we use:
- chest, left side — 110×90 mm (logo);
- front or back — up to 280×210 mm (large logo with service and phone number);
- sleeve — 80×60 mm;
- embroidery — up to 90×90 mm, the most durable option for polos and jackets.
Choosing the technology by quantity: up to 20 pieces, DTF transfer is more cost-effective (can even print as few as 3 T-shirts); from 25–30 pieces with one or two colours, screen printing becomes cheaper per piece. For jackets, polos and caps we recommend embroidery — it withstands frequent washing and isn't damaged by dust or plaster. More details: clothing printing.
Business cards and materials to leave with the client
In finishing work, the business card is still the main tool, since it's left at the client's door, with neighbours and with shop staff. We recommend 350 gsm card with matte lamination — it's easy to write a size or price on it with a marker. The back can carry a short service list: tiling, laminate flooring, plastering, decorative rendering.
Two other things work well: an A5 flyer for the stairwell, put up once the job in the building is finished, and a logo sticker for toolboxes and quote folders. We print all of this together — business cards, flyers and booklets.

Files and turnaround times
Printing requires vector graphics (.ai, .eps, .pdf, .svg), CMYK colours, and 300 dpi if you're using photos. If you don't have a logo, or it's only available as an image from social media, let us know upfront — we'll include a prepress fee in the quote.
Turnaround: our own printing — stickers, business cards, flyers, posters — takes 1–3 business days. Promotional products with printing (pens, mugs, polos) usually take 6–10 business days: production 4–7 business days depending on quantity, plus 2–3 days delivery. Urgent jobs can be arranged by agreement.
We send quotes within one business day — online and as a PDF with product images, prices, print area, prepress fee and lead time for each item. On request, we can prepare a 3D preview with your logo, and you can approve the artwork by e-mail.
FAQ
How much does a sticker set for one van cost?
Roughly from EUR 60 excl. VAT for a set with two door stickers and one rear sticker in contour-cut vinyl. The exact price depends on size, number of colours and whether the logo is full-colour or single-colour.
Can you print just 3 T-shirts?
Yes. We work with DTF transfer from 1 piece, so 3–5 shirts for one crew is a normal order. From 25–30 pieces, screen printing becomes more cost-effective.
Do car stickers withstand winter and washing?
Quality outdoor vinyl on a properly prepared surface lasts several years and withstands moisture and automatic car washes. It's important not to apply it to freshly painted surfaces, and to degrease the surface before application.
What logo size is needed on a T-shirt?
On the chest, left side: 110×90 mm; on the front or back: up to 280×210 mm; for embroidery: up to 90×90 mm. A large name with a phone number on the back works well, as it's readable in a stairwell or car park.
What should I print first if my budget is EUR 200?
Car stickers and 100 business cards. These two elements give you the most contacts per euro invested; you can add T-shirts in your next order.
Can you redraw my logo in vector format?
Yes, we do that for a separate prepress fee, which we include in the quote. You'll then receive the vector file to use elsewhere too.
