Garment printing in Riga: all techniques in one place

Screen printing, DTF, embroidery and sublimation at a single production facility in Riga. Prices from EUR 1.50 per piece, turnaround 3–10 business days, we also handle orders of a single T-shirt.

Garment printing in Riga: all techniques in one place

We offer garment printing in Riga using four techniques: screen printing (from approx. EUR 1.50/pc for orders of 250 pieces and up), DTF printing (from approx. EUR 4.20/pc for orders of 50 pieces and up), machine embroidery (from approx. EUR 4.00/pc for orders of 50 pieces and up) and sublimation. Standard turnaround is 5–10 business days after artwork approval, depending on the technique and quantity, and we also work with single-piece orders — there's no minimum order quantity.

How to choose a technique

In practice, the choice comes down to three things: how many pieces, how many colours in the design, and what the fabric is made of.

  • Screen printing — cost-effective from 50 pieces upwards, if the design has 1–3 colours. Each colour needs a separate screen, so setup costs EUR 35.00, but the per-piece price drops to EUR 1.50 for large quantities. Suitable for cotton and cotton/polyester blends.
  • DTF (direct-to-film) — full-colour printing with no setup fee. A logical choice for 1–50 pieces, photographs, gradients and multi-colour designs. Works on cotton, polyester, blends, and dark fabrics too.
  • Embroidery — for polo shirts, jackets, caps and workwear. Doesn't wear off in the wash and looks more substantial than printing, but isn't suitable for fine text under 4 mm or photographs.
  • Sublimation — only for light-coloured polyester (sports kits, breathable T-shirts). The colour penetrates the fibre, so the print can't be felt by hand and won't peel off.

Prices

Prices are indicative, excl. VAT, per print position. Garment price is not included — we can source the item from our catalogue or print on garments you supply.

Embroidery up to 10,000 stitches5.504.504.004.004.00EUR 25.00

A second position (e.g. a logo on the chest plus text on the back) is charged as an additional print. With screen printing, each extra colour also means an extra screen, so a two-colour design doubles the setup cost — which is the main reason we often recommend DTF for small quantities.

When DTF is cheaper than screen printing

For an order of 30 T-shirts with a single-colour logo, screen printing costs approximately 30 × 3.50 + 35.00 = EUR 140.00, while DTF comes to 30 × 5.00 = EUR 150.00 — the prices are practically similar. From 60–70 pieces, screen printing is already clearly more cost-effective, and from 250 pieces the difference is more than threefold.

What we print on

We work with T-shirts, polo shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, windbreakers, bags, aprons, caps and sports kits. Garments can be chosen from our catalogue — various sizes from XS to 3XL are available, including 150–200 g/m² cotton, organic cotton and polyester sports fabrics. Check out our T-shirt and sweatshirt and jacket sections, or browse the full garment printing offer.

The most common orders: sports club kits with numbers and player names (DTF), aprons and polo shirts for café and restaurant staff (embroidery), school graduation and class T-shirts (screen printing from 50 pcs), and vests and caps for volunteers at municipal events.

Turnaround times

TechniqueStandard turnaround
DTF, 1–20 pcs5–6 business days
DTF, 20–100 pcs6–8 business days
Screen printing6–8 business days
Embroidery (with design digitising)7–10 business days

The turnaround starts once the artwork has been approved and the size breakdown has been confirmed. If the garment needs to be ordered from the catalogue, add 2–4 business days for delivery. We can accommodate urgent jobs by arrangement, though even then you should allow for 5 business days from artwork approval.

File requirements

The best option is vector artwork — .ai, .eps or .pdf with text converted to curves. For screen printing and embroidery, a vector file is mandatory, since each colour is separated individually.

  • Colours: CMYK where possible; please specify Pantone codes — for screen printing we match colours to Pantone.
  • For DTF and sublimation we also accept raster files: at least 300 dpi at the actual print size, with a transparent background (.png, .tif).
  • For embroidery, we digitise the design (convert it into a stitch program) — this is included in the setup fee.
  • Standard print sizes: chest logo 8–10 cm wide, front print A4 or A3, cap embroidery up to 12 × 5 cm.

If you don't have a file, or it's low quality, we'll redraw the logo as a vector — minor adjustments are usually included in the quote.

Frequently asked questions

What's the minimum order?

There's no minimum order. We do DTF and embroidery from as little as 1 piece. For screen printing, 1 piece is technically possible, but the EUR 35.00 setup fee makes it impractical — for small quantities, DTF is the better choice.

Can I bring my own T-shirts?

Yes. We also print on garments brought in by customers, though in that case responsibility for the fabric's reaction during the printing process lies partly with the customer — we recommend bringing one extra piece for testing. We check the label before printing to confirm the fabric composition.

How long does the print last in the wash?

Screen printing and DTF, when washed correctly (30–40 °C, turned inside out, no tumble dryer), withstand 40–50 washes. Embroidery and sublimation barely wear at all over the garment's entire lifespan.

Can you print a different name or number on each T-shirt?

Yes, with DTF. Personalisation with names and numbers (sports kits, team shirts) doesn't change the base price, as long as the design area doesn't exceed A4. Please submit the list of names in a table along with sizes.

Can you print on caps and bags?

Yes. For caps, we most often use embroidery; for tote bags, screen printing or DTF. Both products are available in our catalogue.

Will I see a sample before the whole batch is printed?

We always send a digital mock-up showing the print size and placement. A physical sample for screen printing and embroidery can be prepared for orders of 50 pieces or more — this extends the turnaround by 2–3 days.
