Architecture Studio Materials: Presentations, Folders and Gifts
A guide for architecture studios: which presentation materials, poster printing, sketch notebooks and modest client gifts actually work in practice, with indicative prices and lead times.

Architecture studio materials in practice fall into three groups: presentation printing (plans and visualisations from A4 to A0, 1–3 business days), office identity (business cards, folders, sketch notebooks, stickers for drawing tubes) and modest gifts for clients and partners, ranging from around EUR 0.35 for a pen to EUR 12 for a more substantial set item (excl. VAT). We've been based in Riga, at Kandavas iela 29A, since 2013, and we also work with runs of 1 piece — if you need a single A1 poster for a presentation tomorrow, that's not a problem.
Presentation printing: plans, visualisations, posters
The most common need for an architecture studio is a large-format sheet for the table or a stand. Large-format printing covers the whole range from A4 to A0, and three materials work well in practice:

- Matte paper, 200 g/m² — for plans, sections and technical sheets that need pencil notes or sticky notes. It doesn't glare or reflect light in a room with windows.
- Photo paper — for visualisations and façade images, where tones and shadow detail matter.
- PVC banner or photo banner — if the material needs to travel to the site, be used at a meeting, or reused later. It won't tear or crease at the corners.
For competition entries and public consultation materials, clients often order sets of A1 or A0 sheets with consistent numbering — we print these in a single batch so the colour tone doesn't shift between sheets. Posters for workshop events or office anniversaries can be ready within the same 1–3 business days.
Roll-up stands for public consultations
For public consultations and industry exhibitions, an 85×200 cm roll-up banner stand is a solid choice — one person can set it up in two minutes, and the print can be replaced later while keeping the same mechanism. Beach flags work well on site or at an opening event. More details — banners and roll-up stands.
Office identity: business cards, folders, sketch notebooks
At an architecture studio, business cards are still handed over in person, so the weight of the material matters more than design flourishes. We recommend 350 g/m² card stock, matte lamination, or uncoated paper — the kind you can write a site address on. Digital printing also covers booklets about completed projects, portfolio cards, invitations to site openings, and annual calendars featuring photos of the studio's work.
Stickers deserve a special mention: stickers with the studio's logo on drawing tubes, archive folders, sample boxes and material palettes keep the workspace organised while also reinforcing identity. Transparent stickers on a model's glass or cover look understated and work well.
Gifts for clients: what fits the architecture context
An architecture studio rarely wants loud promotional products. In practice, items that stay on a desk or in a bag work best: a pen, sticky notes, a thermal mug, a compact umbrella. The logo doesn't need to be large — a single-colour engraving or a small screen print is enough.

Files and lead times
We accept artwork in vector format (.ai, .eps, .pdf, .svg), CMYK, with raster images at 300 dpi. Visualisations exported from rendering software usually come in RGB — we convert these to CMYK and will flag it before printing if the tone shifts noticeably. For large-format prints, 150 dpi at full size is sufficient if the sheet will be viewed from around half a metre away.
Lead times: our own printing (stickers, business cards, posters, banners) — 1–3 business days. Promotional products with logo printing — usually 6–10 business days (production 4–7 business days depending on quantity, plus delivery of 2–3 days). Urgent jobs can be arranged by agreement; tight competition deadlines are a familiar situation for us.
Frequently asked questions
Can you print a single A0 poster?
Yes. We work with runs of 1 piece, and a poster or plan from A4 to A0 is usually ready within 1–3 business days, faster by agreement for urgent cases.
How can I make sure the printed visualisation colours match the screen?
Screens display in RGB while printing works in CMYK, so saturated blues and greens can appear more muted. If colour accuracy is critical for the project, we recommend printing a small A4 test section first before printing the full set.
How many pieces should I order for gifts with a logo?
Many products can be printed from 1 piece, but the price per piece becomes more favourable from 50–100 pcs, as the setup fee is spread across the run. Socks with woven-in logos are an exception — the minimum there is 100 pairs.
Can I see how the logo will look on the product?
Yes. Our quote, provided as a PDF, includes product images, prices, the printing location, setup fee and lead time for each item, and on request we prepare a 3D mock-up with your logo. The artwork must be approved by email before production.
What stickers are useful for an architecture studio day-to-day?
The most common orders are logo stickers for drawing tubes and archive folders, numbering stickers for material samples, and transparent stickers for glass or model covers. We print on sheets or rolls, with contour cutting to shape.
Do you print apparel for the studio team?
Yes — for apparel printing we use screen printing, DTF transfer, embroidery and sublimation. For the office and site visits, hoodies and polo shirts with embroidery on the left chest, 110×90 mm, are the most popular choice.
Send us your list of materials or artwork at info@attaprint.lv, call +371 25776699, or message us on WhatsApp at the same number — we'll prepare a quote with prices, printing location and lead times within one business day.
