Catalogues, Labels and Workwear for Building Materials Merchants
An industry guide for building materials wholesalers: how to plan catalogues, product and translation labels, warehouse workwear and promotional products for customers.

Catalogues, product labels and warehouse workwear are three jobs that building materials merchants can usually combine into a single order: A4 catalogues or price lists are printed from 100 copies, stickers in sheets or rolls from 100 pcs, while printed workwear can be ordered from as little as 1 piece. Our own print jobs (stickers, price lists, posters, business cards) are ready in 1–3 business days, while promotional products with logo printing from the catalogue usually take 6–10 business days. Below you'll find details on materials, sizes and what's worth considering before requesting a quote.
Catalogues, price lists and technical data sheets
Building materials wholesalers (NACE 46.83) typically need two types of documents: a representative product catalogue to leave with customers or at a construction site, and a frequently updated price list for sales representatives.

Practical solutions:
- A4 catalogue, saddle-stitched — 16, 24, 32 or 48 pages; cover 250–300 g/m², inner pages 130–170 g/m². Suitable for an overview of the product range with photos and technical specifications.
- A4 price list, 1–2 sheets — printed in small runs (100–300 pcs) so it can be reprinted often whenever prices change.
- Technical data sheet / product data sheet — A4, single- or double-sided, often with a table (dimensions, coverage, drying time).
- Folded leaflets and booklets — A4 with two folds (DL format) for warehouse or branch information.
Small runs are produced using digital printing — from 1 piece, so you can print 30 catalogues for a single site or test the artwork before a larger run. For business cards, invitations to industry events and cards, see our business cards and print products section.
Labels and marking in the warehouse
Labels for building materials need to withstand dust, moisture, temperature changes and handling with a forklift. Paper labels are fine for internal logistics, but for bags, canisters and pallets stored outdoors, we use PP film or vinyl.
Common tasks for a building materials merchant:
- Translation labels for imported products — Latvian-language ingredients, instructions for use and warnings, applied on top of the original text. Often need to be opaque with good coverage.
- Product labels with brand, article number and barcode — in rolls if applied with a dispenser or automatically.
- Pallet and packaging labels — A5 or A4 size, on PP film, resistant to moisture.
- Shelf and zone marking in the warehouse — vinyl stickers with contour cutting, numbers and zone labels.
| Task | Material | Format | Guide price (excl. VAT) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Translation label 60×40 mm | Paper, white | Rolls | from ~45 EUR per 1000 pcs |
| Product label 100×70 mm | PP film | Rolls | from ~75 EUR per 1000 pcs |
| Pallet label A5 | PP film | Sheets | from ~0.25 EUR/pc at 500 pcs |
| Shelf marking | Vinyl, contour-cut | Custom size | from ~1.20 EUR/pc at 100 pcs |
| Catalogue A4, 16 pages | 170 g/m² inner pages | Saddle-stitched | from ~1.60 EUR/pc at 300 pcs |
Prices are indicative — the final price depends on quantity, material, number of colours and whether contour cutting is needed. More on materials: sticker printing.
Workwear for the warehouse and sales floor
Warehouse staff usually need two sets: a lighter one (T-shirt, polo shirt) and a warmer one (hoodie, sweatshirt, jacket). The choice of printing method depends on washing frequency and working conditions.

- Screen printing — cost-effective from 30–50 pcs per colour, durable with frequent washing.
- DTF transfer — suitable for small quantities and full-colour logos, also from 1 pc.
- Embroidery — logos on jackets, caps and polo shirts; the most durable option for everyday wear.
Standard printing areas: left chest 110×90 mm, front or back up to 280×210 mm (the back usually carries the company name so it's visible from a distance on site), sleeve 80×60 mm, embroidery up to 90×90 mm. Range: workwear and clothing printing.

Files, deadlines and order process
We accept artwork in vector format (.ai, .eps, .pdf, .svg) in CMYK colour space; raster images at 300 dpi at actual size. For labels with barcodes, it's important that the code is in vector form, not a low-resolution image placed on top.
| Product | Production time |
|---|---|
| Stickers, price lists, posters | 1–3 business days |
| Saddle-stitched catalogues | 2–4 business days |
| Printed workwear | 4–7 business days |

Ordering is simple: add products to your request in the catalogue or send us a list by email. Within one business day, we'll send you a quote online and as a PDF, with product photos, prices, printing area, set-up fee and deadline for each item. On request, we can prepare a 3D preview with your logo; the artwork must be approved by email before production.
Frequently asked questions
What's the minimum order quantity for catalogues and labels?
We print catalogues and price lists digitally from 1 piece, though 100 copies is the practical minimum for good value. Stickers — from 100 pcs; for rolls, quantity matters more, as set-up costs are spread across the number of pieces.
What material should I choose for translation labels on chemical and primer canisters?
Paper is only suitable for a dry warehouse. For canisters and bags, we recommend white PP film or vinyl — they withstand moisture, abrasive friction and won't stick together if the product is stored in an uncovered area.
Can you print labels with variable data, such as barcodes and article numbers?
Yes, we prepare variable data (article number, barcode, batch) from an Excel or CSV file. You'll need a structured data file and a sample showing how the information should be laid out on the label.
How long should I allow for workwear for the entire warehouse team?
Printing on clothing usually takes 4–7 business days depending on quantity and method, plus 2–3 days for delivery if the item comes from the catalogue. Urgent jobs can be arranged by agreement.
Can you combine print jobs and promotional products in one order?
Yes, that's the most common scenario: we include catalogues, labels, workwear and gifts for customers in one quote, with separate deadlines for each item, so you can receive the printed items sooner and the products later.
How many logo colours can be printed on clothing?
In screen printing, each colour is a separate step, so 1–2 colours is the most cost-effective option for large runs. Full-colour logos with gradients are better suited to DTF transfer, where the number of colours doesn't affect the price.
Send us your product range and approximate quantities at info@attaprint.lv, call +371 25776699 or message us on WhatsApp at the same number — we'll prepare a quote with prices, printing areas and deadlines within one business day.
