Workplace Safety Stickers and Branded Workwear for Factories: A Guide
How to choose the right material for safety signs, floor markings and equipment labels in a factory, and how to match them with a branded workwear set.

Workplace safety stickers for factories are almost always printed on laminated self-adhesive vinyl film — it withstands moisture, oils and cleaning agents, and lasts 3–5 years indoors. Standard sign sizes on the shop floor are 100×100, 200×200 and 300×300 mm (for prohibition and warning signs), while floor marking tape and zone labels are 50–150 mm wide. Turnaround for self-designed stickers is 1–3 business days; for branded workwear, allow 6–10 business days.
What stickers a metalworking workshop needs
Markings in a factory usually fall into four groups, each with its own material and size:

- Safety signs — prohibition (red circle), warning (yellow triangle), mandatory (blue circle) and evacuation (green) signs in ISO 7010 style. Most common sizes are 200×200 mm in corridors and near equipment, 300×300 mm at the workshop entrance.
- Equipment and tool labelling — inventory numbers, voltage warnings, lubrication and maintenance intervals, QR codes on equipment data plates. Small formats of 30×50 or 50×80 mm on durable film work well here.
- Floor markings — walkways, forklift zones, pallet areas, fire extinguisher and evacuation exit zones.
- Warehouse and logistics labelling — shelf addresses, box and product labels, ingredient and instruction labels for finished goods, as well as translation labels for export.
If a company manufactures metal structures, a separate group is marking on the products themselves: batch numbers, CE information, sharp-edge warnings. We print these on rolls so they can be applied quickly and in sequence.
Materials and how long they last
| Material | Where used | Lifespan | Approx. price (excl. VAT) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Paper | Packaging, short-term marking, batch labels | up to 1 year in dry conditions | from EUR 0.04/pc at high volumes |
| White PP film | Shelf addresses, inventory numbers, containers | 2–3 years indoors | from EUR 0.10/pc |
| Vinyl with laminate | Safety signs, oily and damp environments, washable surfaces | 3–5 years | from EUR 3/pc at 200×200 mm |
| Floor vinyl with anti-slip laminate | Walkways, zones, forklift routes | 6–12 months under heavy traffic | from EUR 25/m² |
| Transparent film | Windows, protective screens, display cases | 2–3 years | from EUR 0.15/pc |
| Metallised film | Technical plates, serial numbers | 3–5 years | depends on quantity |
Prices are indicative — the final cost depends on quantity, size, contour cutting and whether the stickers are needed in sheets or rolls. We cut complex shapes (triangles, circles) along the contour at no extra tooling cost. For more options, see the stickers section.
What to consider for floor markings
The floor must be degreased and dried, otherwise no adhesive will hold properly. On rough, uncoated concrete, adhesive film adheres less well than on epoxy or tiles — in such cases, zone labelling is often better solved with large-format panels on walls and columns rather than on the floor.
Safety information on the wall: posters and stands
We print instructions, evacuation plans and first-aid information in formats from A4 to A0 on 200 g paper or on PVC. For factory use, a laminated version or printing on 3 mm PVC board is more practical — it can be wiped clean and won't warp from moisture. If the information changes often (monthly safety figures, duty rosters), use a frame with a replaceable insert. See formats and materials in the large-format printing section.

Branded workwear set
A standard set for a factory worker usually includes a T-shirt or polo shirt, trousers, a vest or jacket, and a sweatshirt for colder weather. Logo placement:
- Left chest — 110×90 mm (company logo).
- Back — up to 280×210 mm (company name or department, so people can be identified from a distance).
- Sleeve — 80×60 mm.
- Embroidery — up to 90×90 mm.
For workwear, we recommend embroidery on vests, jackets and sweatshirts — it withstands frequent washing at 60°C and won't peel off. For T-shirts and polo shirts in large quantities (from 30–50 pcs), screen printing is more cost-effective, while for smaller quantities and multi-colour logos, DTF transfer works better. Frequently asked questions
Do you design safety sign artwork if I only have a list?
Yes. Send us the list of signs and the required sizes — we'll prepare the artwork with standard pictograms and your text. The artwork must be approved by email before printing.
How long do floor markings last in a factory?
On a smooth, clean floor with anti-slip laminate — typically 6–12 months under heavy forklift traffic. In less busy areas, such as pedestrian walkways, they can last 2 years or longer.
Can I order one or two workwear samples before placing a large order?
Yes. We also work with orders of 1 piece — many clients first order one size as a sample, then place the main order. The unit price decreases with larger quantities.
What's better for workwear — embroidery or printing?
For vests, jackets, sweatshirts and caps — embroidery, as it withstands frequent washing and friction. For T-shirts and polo shirts in large quantities, screen printing is cheaper; for multi-colour logos in small quantities — DTF transfer.
Can stickers be ordered in rolls?
Yes, we print both in sheets and rolls with contour cutting. Rolls are more convenient when markings need to be applied on a conveyor or in a packaging area.
Can you also label finished products for export?
Yes, we print ingredient, instruction and translation labels in multiple languages, including on transparent and metallised film.
Send us your list of signs, sizes and workwear set to info@attaprint.lv or message us on WhatsApp +371 25776699 — we'll prepare a quote with prices, print locations and turnaround times within one business day.
