Digital printing in Riga: small runs, fast

Digital printing in Riga is the most cost-effective solution for runs of 1 to roughly 500 copies — no printing plates are needed, so there's no setup fee for business cards or posters, and we send orders into production the same day the artwork is approved. We print business cards 90x55 mm on 300 g card stock from approximately EUR 25.00 per 100 pcs (from 3 sets — EUR 22.00), an A4 catalogue with 8 pages from EUR 1.90/pc, and an A2 poster from EUR 3.20/pc. The standard turnaround is 2–5 business days depending on the product and quantity; larger runs and non-standard finishing may take longer, and we accept urgent jobs by prior arrangement. Orders can be collected at Kandavas iela 29A, Riga.

What digital printing is and when it pays off

In digital printing, an image from a file is transferred onto paper without producing printing plates. This has two practical benefits: first, printing 50 copies isn't disproportionately expensive; second, artwork can be changed right up to the last moment, and every copy can be different (for example, business cards with different employee names within the same batch).

Offset printing only starts to pay off from around 1,000–2,000 copies. If you need 200 flyers for an event, 60 catalogues for an exhibition, or 15 posters for a concert, digital printing will be both faster and cheaper. In practice, most orders from Riga cafés, sports clubs and event organisers fall exactly within this range.

What we produce in digital printing

  • Business cards and gift cards (300 g card stock, matte or glossy)
  • Flyers and leaflets A6–A4, 130–170 g
  • Booklets and catalogues A4/A5, stapled or folded binding
  • Menus, price lists, entry passes, coupons
  • Posters A3–A0 on 200 g paper

You can view the full range and the online calculator in the digital printing section.

Prices and quantity tiers

Below are indicative prices excl. VAT. The price per unit drops as the run grows — so it's often worth printing 100 rather than 60 copies.

Turnaround: how fast you can realistically get it

Digital printing allows us to work in days, not weeks. Indicative turnaround times from artwork approval:

JobStandard turnaround
Business cards 100–300 pcs2–4 business days
Flyers, leaflets up to 500 pcs2–5 business days
Posters A3–A12–5 business days
Catalogues and booklets with stapling4–7 business days
Larger runs and non-standard finishing7–10 business days

If your event is just a couple of days away, get in touch straight away — we always confirm the shortest possible turnaround (usually from 2 business days) separately, depending on current workload.

File requirements

For the print to match the artwork, you need a correct file. The requirements are simple and don't depend on the run size:

  • Format: print-ready PDF, or vector .ai / .eps
  • Colour space: CMYK, not RGB
  • Bleed: 2–3 mm on each side, with the cut line marked
  • Raster images: at least 300 dpi at actual size
  • Text: converted to outlines or fonts embedded
  • Black text: 100% K, not four-colour black

If you don't have a file, or it's in Word/Canva format, we'll prepare the artwork for you — minor adjustments are usually included in the order, while full design work is quoted separately.

How to tell what to print digitally and what to print in another technology

Digital printing suits paper and card stock. For other materials, we use the corresponding technology, but the order can still be combined into a single invoice:

  • Stickers — printed on matte or glossy self-adhesive film, from approximately EUR 24.00/m², from 5 m² EUR 22.00, from 20 m² EUR 19.00; contour cutting +EUR 8.00/m². Details: stickers.
  • Apparel — DTF transfer up to A4 from EUR 6.00/pc (from 20 pcs EUR 5.00, from 50 pcs EUR 4.20), screen printing in 1 colour from EUR 3.50/pc plus EUR 35.00 setup, embroidery up to 10,000 stitches from EUR 5.50/pc. More: apparel printing.
  • Large format — PVC banners, roll-up banner stands, photo banners; here pricing is calculated per square metre and construction type.

For small apparel runs, we usually recommend DTF transfer, as it has no setup fee; from 50 pieces, screen printing becomes more cost-effective.

Typical orders from Riga clients

A café orders 2 sets of business cards (200 pcs) and 50 A5 menus; a school orders 20 A2 posters for graduation; a sports club orders 30 A5 catalogues for sponsors plus stickers for bottles. In all these cases, digital printing lets you avoid overpaying for a run that won't be used. We also work with single pieces — for example, one A1 poster for an exhibition or one sample before approving a larger run.

Send your file and desired quantity to info@attaprint.lv, call +371 25776699 or message us on WhatsApp at the same number — we prepare quotes within one business day, and orders can be collected on site at Kandavas iela 29A.

FAQ

What is the minimum run for digital printing?

There's no minimum — we also print just 1 piece, for example a single A1 poster or a sample before approving a larger run. Business cards are calculated in sets of 100 pcs (EUR 25.00 excl. VAT per set, EUR 22.00 from 3 sets).

How fast can I get a print job?

Business cards and posters usually take 1–3 business days, flyers up to 500 pcs take 2–4 business days, and catalogues with stapling take 4–7 business days. The overall range is 3–10 business days depending on the product and quantity; urgent jobs are accepted by separate arrangement.

What file format should I submit?

A print-ready PDF or vector graphics (.ai / .eps), CMYK colours, 2–3 mm bleed, raster images at least 300 dpi at actual size, and text converted to outlines. If your file is in Word or Canva format, we'll prepare it for you.

When is digital printing more cost-effective than offset?

Up to about 500 copies. Digital printing doesn't require printing plates, so there's no setup fee for business cards and posters. Offset only starts to pay off from around 1,000–2,000 copies.

Can you print catalogues and booklets with folding and stapling?

Yes. An A4 catalogue with 8 pages on 170 g paper costs from EUR 3.50/pc, from 100 pcs EUR 2.40, from 250 pcs EUR 1.90, plus EUR 15.00 setup. The A5 format ranges from EUR 2.20 down to EUR 1.20 per piece. Prices excl. VAT.

Can I combine paper printing with stickers and apparel printing in one order?

Yes, we do this often. For example, business cards, stickers on self-adhesive film (from EUR 25.00/m², from 20 m² EUR 19.00) and DTF transfer on T-shirts (from EUR 6.00/pc) can be combined into a single quote and invoice.
