Diploma Printing: Certificates and Awards in Riga

Diploma printing in A4 format on 250–300 gsm paper costs roughly from 1.50 EUR/pc for small quantities and from 0.50 EUR/pc starting at 250 copies (prices excl. VAT). The standard turnaround is 3–5 business days, with rush jobs available in 2–3 business days by arrangement. We also work with single pieces, so printing just one certificate is not a problem.

What diplomas and certificates we produce

Digital printing makes it possible to produce as few as 5 pieces for competition winners or as many as 800 certificates for course participants. The most commonly ordered options:

• Sports competition diplomas in A5 and A4 format with fields for placing, discipline and date;
• Course and training certificates in A4 with a unique number on each copy;
• Certificates of appreciation for schools, municipalities and supporters, often A4 on textured design paper;
• Honorary certificates and awards in A3 format, intended for framing;
• Participant cards and inserts in smaller formats — 100x150 mm or A6.

If your event also needs signage, a photo backdrop or a winners' board, these can be produced as posters in A2 or A1 format — A2 from 6.00 EUR/pc, from 10 pcs 4.50 EUR/pc.

Paper and finishing

The overall impression of a diploma largely depends on the paper thickness. In practice, we recommend:

• 250 gsm matte coated paper — a versatile solution for large quantities, takes CMYK printing well and doesn't look like plain paper;
• 300 gsm matte or gloss — sturdier, suitable for certificates handed out to clients;
• 300–350 gsm design paper with a linen or laid texture — for certificates of appreciation and honorary awards where the tactile feel matters;
• 350 gsm cardboard — for A3 honorary awards that will stay in a frame.

We can also produce seal-style stickers — round, die-cut, on glossy or matte film. Sticker printing starts at roughly 24.00 EUR/m², from 5 m² — 20.00 EUR/m², with die-cutting at 8.00 EUR/m². In practice, 200 round 50 mm stickers fit into less than half a square metre, making it an inexpensive way to add an embossed-like accent to a diploma. Approximate prices

The prices below are approximate, excl. VAT, for full-colour one-sided printing. The exact price depends on quantity, paper and whether personalisation is required.

Personalisation with variable data (first names, surnames, placings, numbers from an Excel file) — approximately 15.00 EUR for data preparation plus 0.10–0.20 EUR per copy. If you plan to write in names by hand, we leave a blank field and no personalisation fee applies.

Turnaround and how ordering works

Typical process: we receive your artwork or text, prepare a quote within one business day, send a digital proof for approval once confirmed, then print and trim. Total turnaround is 3–5 business days for small quantities and up to 10 business days for larger orders involving design paper or stickers.

Rush jobs — 2–3 business days. If your competition is on a Saturday, we recommend sending your files by Tuesday at the latest to leave time for proofing. Name lists can be submitted up until artwork approval.

Files

The optimal format is vector graphics (.ai, .eps, .pdf), in CMYK colour mode, with a 3 mm bleed on each side and text converted to outlines. For raster elements — at least 300 dpi at actual size. If your artwork isn't ready, we can create it from your logo and text; a simple diploma design costs roughly 20–40 EUR.

What else is ordered together with diplomas

Event organisers usually order a package: diplomas, a winners' list on a poster, a roll-up banner stand near the award area, and small gifts. The most popular additions from our catalogue are pens, notebooks, mugs and water bottles with the organisation's logo — these can be selected in our promotional products with logo section.

Schools and sports clubs often also add T-shirts or caps for participants: DTF transfer printing up to A4 size costs 6.00 EUR/pc, from 20 pcs 5.00 EUR/pc, while single-colour screen printing is 3.50 EUR/pc plus a 35.00 EUR setup fee, dropping to 1.90 EUR/pc from 100 pcs. Frequently asked questions

Can I order just 3 diplomas?

Yes. Digital printing has no minimum quantity, and we don't charge setup fees for diplomas. Three A4 diplomas on 300 gsm paper will cost approximately 4.50–6.00 EUR excl. VAT, depending on the paper.

How long does it take to get personalised certificates with names?

If the name list is prepared in an Excel or CSV file, a personalised run of up to 300 pieces is usually ready within 3–4 business days. In rush mode — 2–3 business days by arrangement.

What paper thickness should I choose for a diploma?

For competition and course diplomas, 250 gsm is sufficient. If the diploma will be framed or kept long-term, choose 300–350 gsm. Below 200 gsm, a diploma feels like an ordinary printout.

Can you print on paper brought in by the client?

We don't work with materials supplied by clients, as in that case we can't guarantee the colour result or final quality. We offer a selection from our own range of papers, including textured design papers.

Can you create a diploma design from scratch?

Yes. We need your logo in vector format, the text and your preferred style. A simple A4 diploma layout costs roughly 20–40 EUR, and we confirm a digital proof with you before printing.

Can we get a print sample before a large print run?

Yes, we can prepare a single printed copy within 2–3 business days; its cost is deducted from the final invoice if you order the full quantity.
