Church printing materials: brochures, cards and banners
A practical guide for parishes on printing service programmes, brochures, cards, posters and banners: formats, indicative prices by print run and turnaround times.

Church printing materials — service programmes, brochures, cards, posters and banners — typically cost least when several formats are combined into one order and printed with a slightly larger reserve. As a guide, an A5 double-sided flyer in a run of 500 pcs costs from around €0.09/pc (excl. VAT), an A3 poster from €1.20/pc, and a PVC banner with eyelets from around €9/m². We produce our own print items (stickers, business cards, posters, brochures) in 1–3 business days, so whatever you need for Sunday can be ordered on Thursday.
What parishes need most often in practice
Experience with parishes, chapels and religious organisations shows that the same set of items recurs throughout the year:
- Service programmes and hymn sheets — A5 or A4 sheets, often with new content every week;
- Brochures about parish history, Bible study groups, baptism and wedding procedures;
- Cards and invitations — Christmas and Easter greetings, confirmation certificates, thank-you cards for donors;
- Posters and flyers for concerts, charity evenings, children's camps;
- Banners and roll-up stands at the entrance, at street events, on public holidays in the city;
- Stickers for donation boxes, charity shop price tags, book stamping.
Service programmes and small print runs
Weekly programmes rarely need 1,000 copies — usually 60–300. Digital printing is more cost-effective than offset for such runs, since there are no set-up costs, and we work from as little as 1 piece.
Practical tips to cut costs: use one type of paper for the whole year (for example, 130 g/m² coated or 120 g/m² offset paper), keep a fixed header and footer with the parish logo and contact details in the design, and only change the middle section. If the content changes every week, you can also print a larger run of a "blank" template with a colour header and have the text printed on-site in black and white.

Posters, banners and event signage
For concerts and charity evenings, A3 or A2 posters are usually enough — A3 fits neatly into glass display cases and shop notice boards, while A2 is easy to read from the street. If you plan to put posters up outdoors under a canopy, choose matt lamination, which doesn't reflect light and holds up well in damp conditions.
For permanent signage by the church fence, a PVC banner with metal eyelets every 50 cm is a good choice; it will last several seasons if the text isn't dated. For events held in different locations, a roll-up stand or beach flag is more practical — it folds up, weighs around 3 kg and can be set up without tools. Many parishes order one neutral banner with their logo and motto, plus one changeable one with dates.
Cards, thank-you notes and charity items
Thank-you cards for donors and confirmation certificates are usually printed on 300 g/m² card stock; if you want to write on them by hand, choose uncoated paper — ink smudges on glossy stock. Wedding and baptism invitations can be enhanced with rounded corners or a folded format. For more on this product group, see business cards and cards.
Files, turnaround times and how to save
Send your logo and design in vector format (.ai, .eps, .pdf, .svg), CMYK; photos need at least 300 dpi at actual size (banners only need 100–150 dpi, since they're viewed from a distance). If your parish doesn't have a designer, just send the text and logo — we'll prepare the artwork and send it to you by e-mail for approval before printing.
Turnaround times: stickers, cards, posters and brochures 1–3 business days; promotional products with printing usually 6–10 business days (production 4–7 business days + delivery 2–3 days). Plan urgent jobs before Christmas and Easter with a 2-week buffer, as this is the busiest period.
The biggest savings come from planning ahead: combine your yearly posters, cards and programmes into one order — set-up work is shared, and the price per piece drops. Second, leave space in the design where the date can be changed without having to reprint the whole material.
Send us a list of the formats and print runs you need at info@attaprint.lv, call +371 25776699, or message us on WhatsApp at the same number — we'll prepare a quote with prices, print area and turnaround time for each item within one business day.
FAQ
How much do 200 A5 service programmes cost?
As a guide, 200 double-sided A5 sheets on 130 g/m² paper cost around €0.14–0.18/pc excl. VAT, roughly €30–36 in total. The exact price depends on the paper, number of colours, and whether folding is needed. We send a quote within one business day.
Do you also print small runs, for example 20 posters or 1 banner?
Yes, in digital and large-format printing we work from as little as 1 piece. The price per piece is higher for small runs, but there's no set-up fee as with offset printing, so 20 posters or a single PVC banner is a perfectly normal order.
How much time should I allow before Christmas?
We produce our own print items (cards, posters, brochures, stickers) in 1–3 business days, but December is a busy period, so allow 5–7 business days. Promotional products with printing need 6–10 business days, so it's best to order gifts in November.
What do we need to send if our parish doesn't have a designer?
Send us the text, your logo in the best quality available, and the format you'd like. We'll prepare the artwork for printing and send it to you by e-mail for approval. Ideally, the logo should be in vector format (.ai, .eps, .pdf, .svg), CMYK, and photos at 300 dpi.
Which banner is better for outdoor events — PVC or roll-up?
A roll-up stand is designed for indoor use and only withstands a light breeze; for outdoor events, a PVC banner with eyelets or a beach flag with a cross base is a safer choice. If the material will stand by the church for a long time, choose 440 g/m² PVC with reinforced edges.
Is it cheaper to order all our printing for the year at once?
Usually yes. By combining posters, cards and programmes into one order, set-up and delivery costs are shared, bringing down the price per piece. We recommend including a changeable date field in the design, so reusable materials don't need to be reprinted.
