Label Printing Prices: Table for 100, 1,000 and 5,000 Pcs

How much do labels cost at 100, 1,000 and 5,000 pieces. A clear table by size, price per m² and an explanation of why the per-piece price drops more slowly at larger runs.

Label printing prices: table for 100, 1,000 and 5,000 pcs

Label printing prices at our facility are calculated per square metre of printed material: standard printing without contour cutting costs 17.60 EUR/m² (excl. VAT), laminated or contour-cut stickers 24.00 EUR/m², transparent ones 48.00 EUR/m². In practice, this means 1,000 pcs of 50×50 mm labels cost around 51 EUR, or 0.05 EUR/pc, while 5,000 pcs cost around 253 EUR — the same 0.05 EUR/pc. There's no set-up fee for labels; the minimum order value is around 20 EUR.

How label pricing works

Digital sticker printing has no plates or press set-up costs, so the price is determined by three things: the printed area, the material, and the finish (lamination, contour cutting, transfer film).

The calculation is simple: label area × quantity × ~1.15 (gaps between cuts and edge finishing) × price per m². That's why small labels stay cheap even at high volumes, while an A6-sized ingredients label will always cost more — it simply uses more material.

Price table: 100, 1,000 and 5,000 pcs

The table shows indicative prices for standard printing on self-adhesive paper or PP film sheets, at 17.60 EUR/m², excl. VAT. A gap allowance is included; the total price and price per piece are shown.

Label size100 pcs1,000 pcs5,000 pcs
40×30 mm~20 EUR (0.20/pc)~25 EUR (0.025/pc)~121 EUR (0.024/pc)
50×50 mm~20 EUR (0.20/pc)~51 EUR (0.051/pc)~253 EUR (0.051/pc)
70×50 mm~20 EUR (0.20/pc)~71 EUR (0.071/pc)~354 EUR (0.071/pc)
100×70 mm~20 EUR (0.20/pc)~142 EUR (0.142/pc)~708 EUR (0.142/pc)
A6 (105×148 mm)~31 EUR (0.31/pc)~315 EUR (0.315/pc)~1,572 EUR (0.315/pc)

At 100 pieces, the minimum order value applies to small sizes — material usage is only a few percent of the sheet, but machine setup, cutting and packing still take the same amount of time.

If you need lamination (protection against abrasion and moisture) or contour cutting to shape, multiply the table total by 1.36 — this corresponds to 24.00 EUR/m². For transparent labels, the multiplier is 2.7 (48.00 EUR/m²).

Why the per-piece price doesn't keep dropping

Here's the key thing to understand as a manufacturer: the biggest price drop happens between 100 and 1,000 pieces — from 0.20 EUR to 0.05 EUR per piece, a fourfold decrease. Between 1,000 and 5,000 pieces, the per-piece price barely changes, because from that point on you're paying for material and ink, not set-up.

This is why digital printing remains cost-effective up to around 5,000–10,000 labels per year for a single design. If your run regularly exceeds this volume and the design stays the same, it's worth considering flexographic printing, where plate costs pay off over tens of thousands of pieces. At 5,000 pcs digital, you still don't risk overstocking your warehouse, and you can change the ingredients list or batch number on your next order at no extra cost.

Prices are excl. VAT, with no set-up fee. For food and cosmetics products, PP film with lamination is usually the preferred choice — it withstands moisture, cold and abrasion in-store. Paper labels are the most affordable option for internal marking, boxes and logistics.

Sheets or rolls

Sheet-cut labels are the standard for smaller runs and manual application. If labels are applied with an applicator or by hand at high volumes on a conveyor, a roll with a defined winding direction and core diameter is more practical — in that case, specify the core size and how many labels are on each roll.

Roll production slightly increases the per-piece price for small runs and lowers it for large ones, so we quote these jobs separately. For more on materials and formats, see the stickers section, and browse completed projects in Our Work.

How to cut costs

  • Adjust the size. Going from 70×50 mm to 60×40 mm reduces the area by 31%, and the price accordingly.
  • Print multiple versions in one order. Five product flavours at 1,000 pcs each = 5,000 pcs at a single rate; switching versions costs nothing extra in digital printing.
  • Don't add unnecessary finishes. Lamination is needed for humid or greasy environments; for a dry cardboard box, a paper label at 17.60 EUR/m² is enough.
  • Leave room for variable information. It's often cheaper to stamp the batch number and expiry date with a date-coding machine than to print each batch separately.

Turnaround, files and delivery

Printing in-house — labels, business cards, posters — usually takes 1–3 business days after artwork approval. Urgent jobs can be arranged by agreement.

We accept files in vector format (.ai, .eps, .pdf, .svg), CMYK; raster images at 300 dpi. For contour cutting, add the cut line on a separate layer. For translations and ingredient labels, text should be no smaller than 6 pt — smaller sizes start to blur on film.

Free pickup at Kandavas iela 29A, Riga. Courier delivery in Riga — 16.00 EUR per trip; to other regions, we ship via parcel locker or courier.

Frequently asked questions

How much do 1,000 labels at 50×50 mm cost?

Around 51 EUR excl. VAT for standard printing on paper or PP film, which is 0.05 EUR per piece. With lamination — around 69 EUR.

Is there a discount at 5,000 pieces?

The price per square metre stays the same, so the per-piece price at 1,000 and 5,000 pcs is practically identical. The real savings come only from moving from a few hundred to a thousand. For runs above 10,000 pcs of a single design, we offer a separate quote.

Is there a set-up or plate fee?

No, there's no set-up fee for digital sticker printing. If we create the artwork for you from your materials, design work is quoted separately.

What's the minimum order quantity?

We also work with a single sheet. In practice, the minimum order value is around 20 EUR, so 100 and 200 pcs of small-format labels often cost similarly.

How long does it take?

1–3 business days from artwork approval by email. Large runs with contour cutting may take 3–4 business days.

Do labels withstand fridges and moisture?

PP film with lamination withstands moisture, condensation and freezing. Paper labels aren't suitable for such conditions — they start peeling off.

Send us your label size, quantity and material to info@attaprint.lv, call us, or message us on WhatsApp at +371 25776699 — we'll prepare a quote with an exact price and turnaround within one business day. Other contact options: attaprint.lv/kontakti.
