Photo Banner for Events: Press Wall Printing and Sizes

How to choose a photo banner for your event: sizes, non-glare materials, logo placement, indicative prices from EUR 60 and 3–10 business days turnaround.

Printed press wall with a logo pattern at an event, people taking photos

A standard photo banner for events (press wall or photo corner) is a printed backdrop measuring 2×2 m or 2.4×2.3 m with a repeating logo pattern, costing approximately from EUR 60 excl. VAT for PVC without a frame, and from EUR 420 for a set with an aluminium frame and fabric print. Production time is 2–5 business days after artwork approval; rush orders are available by separate arrangement. To avoid flash glare in photos, we recommend a matte material or fabric.

What sizes suit a photo corner

The size depends on how many people need to fit in the frame at once. In practice, these options work well:

  • 2×2 m — 2–3 people in frame. Suitable for cafés, club events, small venues.
  • 2.4×2.3 m — 3–4 people. The most commonly ordered size for corporate events and conferences.
  • 3×2.3 m — 5–6 people, team photos for sports clubs.
  • 4×2.3 m and wider — award ceremonies, press conferences, sponsor walls with multiple logos.

A height below 2 m is not recommended: the wall or ceiling appears above people's heads in the frame. If the room is low, it's better to choose a 2.1 m tall structure and shoot from waist height.

Materials: which ones don't reflect light

MaterialDensity / propertiesBest suited for
PVC banner, matte440–510 g/m², eyelets around the perimeterOutdoor events, mounting on a fence or wall
PVC banner, glossy440 g/m²Backdrop without flash, decorative lighting
Fabric (polyester)210–260 g/m², no glarePhotos with flash, indoor events
Roll-up film85×200 or 100×200 cmOne person in frame, quick setup

If you're shooting with a professional flash, we almost always recommend fabric — even matte PVC can produce a slight sheen in the centre. Fabric banners can also be washed at 30°C and folded into a bag, making them more convenient if the backdrop travels to several events per season.

Structures

  • Aluminium profile frame with fabric print in a silicone edge (SEG) — the sturdiest solution, 15–20 minutes to set up, the frame lasts for years and only the print needs replacing.
  • Telescopic structure with tubes — cheaper, adjustable width, suitable if you need a backdrop 2–3 times a year.
  • Banner with eyelets without a frame — if the venue has a wall, fence or stage truss to attach it to.
  • Roll-up — a compact option for an entrance or registration desk; not a full photo corner, but works as an addition.

A more detailed overview of banner structures and materials can be found in the banners and roll-ups section.

How to arrange logos so the photos work

The most common mistake is a logo pattern that's too large or too sparse. Practical guidelines:

  • Logo width of 20–35 cm — readable even at a distance and in phone photos.
  • Spacing between logos of 10–20 cm, arranged diagonally or in a staggered pattern so no logo is fully blocked by a person.
  • The 90–180 cm zone from the floor is where people's bodies will be — logos there will be partially hidden. Place the most important elements higher than 180 cm and lower than 90 cm.
  • The background shouldn't be too dark or too busy — faces get lost. A plain light colour or the brand's core colour works best.
  • If the photo corner has several sponsors, arrange them by tier: the main sponsor's logo should be larger and repeated more often.

Files for printing

We accept vector graphics (.ai, .eps, .pdf) in CMYK colour space. Large-format artwork can be submitted at a 1:10 scale with 300 dpi, or 1:1 with 72–100 dpi. For frame structures, allow a 4–5 cm margin around the perimeter, as the print wraps into the profile. Fonts should be converted to outlines. If your artwork isn't ready yet, we can prepare it based on your logo and brand colour codes.

Turnaround and installation

The standard turnaround from artwork approval is 2–5 business days, depending on the structure. A print-only order without a frame is usually ready in 2–4 business days. Rush orders are possible by arrangement, provided the material is in stock.

We recommend ordering at least two weeks before the event — this leaves time for artwork revisions and a test setup. Event organisers often also need posters for signage, floor stickers, and name badges at the same time; we can produce and deliver these together.

FAQ

How much does a photo banner for an event with a frame cost?

A 2.4×2.3 m set with an aluminium frame and fabric print costs approximately from EUR 420 excl. VAT. Print only, without a structure — from EUR 140. The exact price depends on size, material and quantity.

Will a photo banner reflect flash light?

Fabric material barely reflects light and is a safe choice for photos with flash. Matte PVC also works, but with direct frontal flash it may produce a slight sheen in the centre of the banner.

How long does it take to produce a photo banner?

Usually 3–10 business days after artwork approval. Print only, without a structure — 3–5 business days. Rush jobs can be completed in 1–2 days by prior arrangement.

Can I just replace the print on an existing frame?

Yes, provided we know the profile type and exact size. A replacement print for a 2.4×2.3 m frame costs from EUR 150 excl. VAT. Send us a photo of the frame and its measurements, and we'll check compatibility.

What format should the artwork be submitted in?

Vector graphics in .ai, .eps or .pdf, CMYK, fonts converted to outlines. Scale 1:10 at 300 dpi, or 1:1 at 72–100 dpi, with a 4–5 cm margin at the edges for frame structures.
