Hairdressing Salon Aprons, Mirror Stickers and Cards: A Guide

How a hair salon can order embroidered aprons, see-through mirror and window stickers, and appointment cards in one go: timeframes, quantities and guide prices.

Hairdressing salon aprons, mirror stickers and cards: a guide

Embroidered aprons, see-through mirror stickers and appointment cards are three things worth ordering together for a salon — that way the logo colour, font and sizes match across all materials. We print aprons and team wear from as little as 1 piece, with an embroidery area of up to 90×90 mm; stickers and cards are ready in 1–3 business days, while printed clothing and promotional products usually take 6–10 business days. We send you a quote with prices, print placement and lead time for each item within one business day.

Aprons and team wear with a logo

In practice, what matters most for a salon apron is fabric density and making sure the logo doesn't wash out. That's why we more often recommend embroidery for aprons, polo shirts and jackets — it withstands frequent washing at 40–60°C and doesn't crack when steamed.

Standard printing and embroidery placements we use:

  • left chest — 110×90 mm (the classic spot for an apron or polo logo);
  • front or back — up to 280×210 mm (e.g. the salon's name on the bottom of an apron or on the back of a T-shirt);
  • sleeve — 80×60 mm (Instagram handle or phone number);
  • embroidery — up to 90×90 mm.

Embroidery, DTF or screen printing

Embroidery suits logos with clear outlines and 1–6 colours; there's a one-off fee for preparing the embroidery program, roughly 20–35 EUR excl. VAT, and subsequent orders don't require it again. DTF transfer is a better fit for logos with gradients or photos and works from 1 piece. We use screen printing from around 30–50 pieces, when you need identical printing on a large batch — that's when the price per piece is lowest. We've covered all the options in more detail in our clothing printing section.

Alongside aprons, salons often order a warmer layer for work and marketing photoshoots — for example, hoodies or polo shirts with the same chest embroidery.

Mirror, window and door stickers

In a salon, stickers serve two purposes: informing (opening hours, prices, a QR code linking to a booking system) and decorating (a logo on the mirror, patterns on the window). We choose the material based on where the sticker will be applied:

  • see-through film — a logo on a mirror or glass, when you want the background to stay visible;
  • white vinyl with contour cutting — a cut-out logo or text with no rectangular background;
  • metallic film — a silver or gold effect on a mirror frame or shelving;
  • PP film — moisture-resistant price and instruction stickers near the washing area and on product shelves.

If a sticker is applied to the inside of a shop window, we print it mirrored so the text reads correctly from the street — be sure to mention this in your request. More on materials and formats: sticker printing.

It's also worth thinking about product stickers if your salon sells its own cosmetics or repackages products — we print ingredient and instruction stickers both in sheets and on rolls.

Appointment cards, gift cards and price lists

An appointment card with the date and time still works better than a text message, because the client tucks it into their wallet. Standard size is 85×55 mm, 300–350 g/m² card stock, double-sided printing; on the back we leave room for the stylist to write in the next visit with a pen.

A typical salon paper set:

  • appointment and business cards — 85×55 mm, matte or silk laminate;
  • gift cards — 85×55 mm or 99×210 mm, numbered if needed;
  • price lists and service brochures — A5 or A4, folded;
  • promotional posters — A4 up to A0 format.

We print all of these digitally from 1 piece: business cards and appointment cards, posters.

Files and the order process

Please send your logo as vector graphics (.ai, .eps, .pdf, .svg), colours in CMYK; if the material includes a photo, it should be at least 300 dpi. If you don't have a vector file, we can redraw the embroidery program or contour-cut path — this is included in the quote as a preparation fee.

The process is simple: you submit items via the request form on our website or just email us in free form, and within one business day we send you a quote online and as a PDF with product photos, prices, print placement, preparation fee and lead time for each item. On request, we can prepare a 3D preview with your logo, and the artwork is confirmed by email before production begins.

FAQ

What's the minimum number of aprons I can order?

We work with orders from as little as 1 piece. A salon with three stylists usually needs 4–6 aprons to always have a spare during washing. The price per piece drops with larger quantities.

Does embroidery withstand frequent washing and hair dye stains?

Yes, embroidery is the most durable method — the thread doesn't come loose and withstands washing at 40–60°C. For stains, it's best to plan ahead and choose a darker apron colour, on which colour splashes are less noticeable.

How do I order a sticker that will be applied inside a shop window?

Let us know that the sticker will be applied to the inside of the glass — we'll then print it mirrored on see-through film, so the text reads correctly from the street. Also send us the width and height of the glass, and we'll adjust the artwork size accordingly.

Can I order stickers and cards using a single logo file?

Yes, and that's the recommended approach. From one vector file we can prepare stickers, cards and the embroidery program, so the colours and proportions match across all materials.

How long does the whole set take?

Our own printing — stickers, cards, posters — takes 1–3 business days. Printed clothing and promotional products usually take 6–10 business days (production 4–7 business days depending on quantity, plus delivery 2–3 days).

Can you help with the artwork if I don't have a designer?

Yes, we can adapt your existing logo for stickers and cards, and sort out the text and sizes. You'll receive the artwork for approval by email before printing.
