Golf Umbrellas with Logo vs Folding Umbrellas: Which to Choose
We compare golf and folding umbrellas by size, durability and print area, with prices from our catalogue and lead times.

Golf umbrellas with a logo (usually 30", around 120–130 cm in diameter) give you the largest print area and can cover two people, but won't fit in a bag; folding 21–23" umbrellas are about 25–30 cm long when closed and make a great gift for every client. Prices in our catalogue start from EUR 3.62/pc for the folding Ida 21.5" at 100 pcs, and from EUR 5.24/pc for the golf model Karl 30" — excl. VAT, with printing priced separately. In practice, most companies order both: golf umbrellas for events and outdoor teams, folding ones for office gifts.
Key difference: size and use case
A golf umbrella has a one-piece shaft with no folding joints. That means fewer moving parts that can break, a larger canopy and better wind resistance, but also that the umbrella won't fit in a backpack. Typical places you'll see them: sports grounds, outdoor retail, construction sites, event registration desks, car boots.

A folding umbrella (21–23") is designed for everyday carrying. Automatic open-and-close (for example, Alex 21.5" or Bo 21") is handy if the umbrella is used often and one-handed — with a bag in the other hand, that's a real advantage. Manual models such as Aaron 23" are simpler and cheaper, with less risk of the mechanism malfunctioning.
Print area and how many logos fit
A golf umbrella panel is roughly 40 × 30 cm, so you can fit a large logo or even a full slogan that's readable from a distance. A folding umbrella panel is around 25 × 20 cm — enough for a logo, but small text and phone numbers are best avoided.
The standard option is printing on 1–2 opposite panels. For events where the umbrella works as a visual element, it's worth printing on 4 or all 8 panels — the print cost rises, but the effect comes close to a promotional flag. Screen printing suits 1–3 colour logos, while DTF transfer and sublimation suit colour gradients and photographic elements. Sublimation requires light-coloured polyester fabric, and not all models allow it: Romee, Jeff and Halo accept screen printing and DTF, but not sublimation.

Windproof construction: when it's worth paying for
The windproof mechanism uses double rib joints and flexible fibreglass ribs that let the canopy flex and bounce back instead of breaking. The price difference is noticeable: Zeke 30" costs from EUR 5.69/pc, while the windproof Jeff 30" costs from EUR 14.42/pc at 100 pcs.
Paying for windproof construction is worth it if the umbrella is for staff using it daily, or for events on the coast. If the umbrella is a one-off gift for conference attendees, a standard model will work just as well for half the price.

Colours and artwork preparation
A dark canopy with a light-coloured logo is the most practical choice: dirt is less visible and the print stands out. If your brand colour is specific, choose a model with more colour options — Alex offers 11 colours, Karl and Ida 10, Yfke 9.
Artwork needs to be vector graphics (.ai, .eps, .pdf, .svg) in CMYK mode; we accept 300 dpi raster images only for DTF and sublimation. Before production, we send the artwork for approval by email, and on request we add a 3D preview with your logo on the chosen model.
Lead times and quantities
We also work with orders of just 1 piece — for example, a single Karl 30" with a logo is a real order, though the setup fee then makes up most of the cost. Pricing becomes more economical from 50–100 pcs, and at 250+ pcs the price per piece drops further.
Promotional products with printing usually take 6–10 business days: 4–7 business days for production depending on quantity and print method, plus 2–3 days for delivery. If your event is sooner, get in touch — we can arrange part of the work faster by agreement. Our in-house printing (stickers, business cards, posters) is ready in 1–3 business days.

FAQ
How many panels can be printed on a golf umbrella?
Technically all 8, but most often 1–2 opposite panels are printed. Each extra panel increases the print cost, so a 4- or 8-panel option is chosen when the umbrella serves as a visual highlight at an event.
Can a folding umbrella have a full-colour logo?
Yes. Models with light-coloured polyester fabric are suitable for sublimation; otherwise we use DTF transfer, which reproduces colour gradients and fine details. For one- or two-colour logos in large quantities, screen printing costs less.
What's the minimum order?
There's no minimum — we print even 1 piece. Just keep in mind the one-off setup fee, which significantly affects the per-piece price for small quantities.
Is a golf umbrella really more durable?
Usually yes, since the shaft is one piece and the ribs are longer and sturdier. The best results in wind come from models with windproof construction, such as Jeff 30" or Romee 30" made from recycled PET.
How long does an order of 200 pcs take?
Plan for 6–10 business days from artwork approval: 4–7 business days for production plus 2–3 days for delivery. Urgent deadlines are assessed case by case.
Can I see how the logo will look on the umbrella?
Yes, on request we add a 3D visualisation to the quote, showing your logo on the chosen model and colour, before we start production.
