Mug printing in Riga with us starts from just one piece — there's no minimum order quantity, and full-colour sublimation printing on a white ceramic mug (330 ml) costs approximately from 8 EUR excl. VAT per piece, while from 100 pieces the price drops to around 4.20 EUR. The standard turnaround is 5–10 business days from artwork approval. We're located at Kandavas iela 29A, Riga, so finished orders can be collected on-site with no delivery costs.

What mugs we offer with printing

We work both with products from our catalogue and with mugs brought in by the client, provided they have a coating suitable for sublimation. The most frequently ordered options are:

  • White ceramic mug 330 ml — a classic for corporate gifts and cafés, with a full-colour image wrapping around the mug.
  • Coloured ceramic mug with a coloured interior or handle — printing on a white panel on the side.
  • Magic (colour-change) mug — black, and the image appears once a hot drink is poured in; popular as a gift.
  • Thermal mug / travel mug made of stainless steel, 350–500 ml — printed with UV printing or laser engraving.
  • Enamel mugs and large-capacity mugs — for sports clubs and events.

You can browse the full range of available models and sizes in the mugs section; if you need something specific that you don't see listed, just ask — the catalogue selection is wider than what's shown on the website.

Printing technologies and how they differ

Sublimation is the main method used for ceramic mugs. The image is transferred using heat and becomes embedded in the coating, so the surface stays smooth and can't be felt by touch. The number of colours doesn't affect the price — a photograph costs the same as a single logo. A sublimated mug is dishwasher-safe, though for long-term colour vibrancy we recommend hand washing.

Laser engraving works well for metal thermal mugs — the result is single-colour (usually a silver or dark contrast), but it's practically wear-resistant. UV printing on thermal mugs allows for a colour logo, though the printable area is usually limited to one zone of up to 6×8 cm.

Approximate prices

The prices below are approximate, excl. VAT, and include the mug together with full-colour printing. The exact amount depends on the chosen model, quantity, and print area.

There's no setup fee for sublimation. For laser engraving, small quantities may incur a one-off setup fee of around 15 EUR. If you order mugs together with other promotional products from the catalogue — pens, notebooks, bottles, bags — the combined logistics and artwork preparation work out cheaper than ordering separately.

Turnaround times

The turnaround is counted from the moment the digital artwork is approved and the mug model is confirmed. If the mug needs to be ordered from the catalogue, the timeline may extend slightly due to delivery. If your deadline is tight, get in touch — we often find a solution even for urgent jobs.

How to prepare your file

The best results come from vector graphics: .ai, .eps or .pdf in CMYK colours. If you're using a photograph or raster image, its resolution should be at least 300 dpi at print size — a screenshot taken on a phone can't be enlarged to 20 cm wide without losing quality.

A few practical tips:

  • The standard print area on a 330 ml ceramic mug is approximately 20×8 cm (wrapping around, excluding the handle).
  • For backgrounds that run to the edge, add a 3 mm bleed.
  • Convert text to outlines so fonts don't shift.
  • Keep in mind that white isn't printed in sublimation — white areas simply remain the mug's base colour.

If you don't have artwork, we'll prepare it for you. A simple layout with a ready logo is usually included in the order price; a more complex design from scratch is quoted separately.

Who we most often make mugs for

Cafés and restaurants — mugs with a brand logo for use on-site as well as for sale. Sports clubs — team mugs with members' names, which can also be done as a batch where each piece differs (personalisation in sublimation doesn't cost extra). Schools and municipalities — commemorative mugs for graduations and anniversaries. Companies — Christmas sets, where the mug is paired with other catalogue products.

If a single order needs both mugs and other print jobs — stickers, business cards, a roll-up banner for an event — we can plan it all into one quote; see the rest of our services in the shop section.

Frequently asked questions

Can I really order just one mug?

Yes. Sublimation technology has no setup costs, so one mug is just as viable an order as a hundred. The price for a single mug with full-colour printing is approximately from 8 EUR excl. VAT.

How long does the print last, and can the mug go in the dishwasher?

The sublimation image is embedded in the mug's coating rather than applied on top, so it won't peel off. Dishwasher use is fine, but frequent washing at high temperatures can cause the colours to fade slightly over time — hand washing keeps them vibrant longer.

Can I bring my own mugs?

We can, provided they have a coating suitable for sublimation — a regular shop-bought mug without one won't work, as the ink simply won't bond. Metal thermal mugs, on the other hand, can be engraved almost regardless of brand. The simplest solution is to bring one sample to Kandavas iela 29A, and we'll tell you if it's suitable.

Can each mug have a different image or name?

Yes, and it doesn't change the price. Personalisation with names, job titles, or different photos in sublimation just means a separate artwork file for each piece — prepare a list in Excel format, and we'll take care of the rest.

How much does artwork preparation cost?

If you have a ready logo in vector format, we'll prepare the mug layout free of charge. A design from scratch, or redrawing an image into vector format, is quoted separately, usually in the range of 15–30 EUR depending on complexity.
