Large-Format Printing in Riga: Banners, Posters and Stands

Large-format printing in Riga at Kandavas Street 29A covers posters from A3 to A0, PVC banners, roll-up banner stands and photo banners. An A2 poster on 200 g paper costs roughly EUR 6.00 per piece, dropping to EUR 3.20 from 50 pieces; A1 costs EUR 9.00 and EUR 5.50 respectively (prices excl. VAT). Standard production time is 2–5 business days (up to 7 business days for roll-up stands), with urgent jobs available by arrangement.

What large-format printing covers

By large-format we mean anything that doesn't fit on a standard A3 sheet: from a single poster for a café window to a 6-metre banner on a construction fence. We print on paper, films and fabrics alike, so you can choose a product based on how long it needs to last and whether it will be used indoors or outdoors.

• PVC banners 440–510 g/m² with metal eyelets — for facades, fences and sports grounds.
• Roll-up banner stands 850×2000 mm and 1000×2000 mm with case and bag — for conferences, fairs and offices.
• Photo banners on fabric or blockout material — for photo walls and event backdrops.
• Stickers and vinyl applications on matte or gloss self-adhesive film, from roughly EUR 24.00/m², dropping to EUR 18.00/m² from 20 m².

Materials and where to use them

Indoors

For indoor posters, 200 g paper is usually enough. If a poster will hang near an entrance or somewhere it gets touched often, we recommend lamination or printing on film mounted on foam board. A roll-up banner stand is a portable solution — the cassette weighs about 2–3 kg, and setup takes a minute.

Outdoors

A PVC banner printed with UV-resistant inks keeps its colours outdoors for roughly 2–3 years. If the banner will be stretched on a fence in a windy location, we recommend a perforated (mesh) material or extra eyelets every 40–50 cm. For window stickers, we use film with stronger adhesive outdoors and back-printed film for the inside.

File preparation

For large-format printing, resolution relative to viewing distance is what matters. We don't require 300 dpi for a banner viewed from 10 metres away — 72–100 dpi at full size is enough.

• Format: vector files .ai, .eps, .pdf; photos — TIFF or high-quality JPG.
• Colour space: CMYK. RGB files are converted, which may shift colours.
• Posters: 300 dpi, 3 mm bleed, text converted to outlines.
• Banners: 100 dpi at full size, or 1:10 scale at 300 dpi; leave 5–10 cm margin around for folding.
• Roll-up: the bottom 8–10 cm stays inside the cassette — don't place important information there.

If you don't have a file, or it's in a Word document, we'll prepare the artwork for you — for a simple poster this usually takes one business day. We always send a digital proof for approval before printing.

Lead times and quantities

We also work with single pieces — if you need just one A1 poster or one roll-up stand, that's not a problem. For larger volumes, the unit price drops, as shown in the price list tiers.

Lead time is counted from artwork approval. Urgent jobs are possible if the file is print-ready and the required material is in stock. We always confirm this in advance, as some materials need to be ordered.

Roughly from EUR 42 excl. VAT for 3 m² with eyelets around the perimeter. The exact price depends on material density, number of eyelets, and whether edge welding is needed. We prepare a quote once we have the size and file.

Can I order just one poster?

Yes. A single A2 poster on 200 g paper costs roughly EUR 6.00, and A1 costs EUR 9.00, excl. VAT. From 10 pieces, the price drops to EUR 4.50 and EUR 7.00 respectively.

How long does a PVC banner last outdoors?

A banner printed with UV inks keeps its readability and colours outdoors for roughly 2–3 years. In direct southern sun and strong wind, the lifespan may be shorter, so we recommend more frequent eyelet spacing for larger banners.

What resolution should a banner file be?

Roughly 100 dpi at full size, or 300 dpi at 1:10 scale. File in CMYK, PDF or TIFF format, with a 5–10 cm margin around. Text must be converted to outlines.

Do you also handle installation?

We deliver banners and stickers ready for installation, along with mounting recommendations. We can arrange window and shop-window sticker application in Riga separately — this needs to be agreed when preparing the order.
