Materials: what to choose for your task

200 g matt or semi-gloss paper

The standard solution for indoor posters — concert and show announcements, school events, in-store price posters. Matt paper doesn't reflect light, making it easier to read up close; glossy paper gives richer colours for photographs.

Denser paper and card (250–350 g)

If the poster will stand on an easel or be reused, we recommend a denser material — it won't curl and holds up better to handling. This option is often chosen for exhibition stands and information boards at municipal institutions.

Outdoor materials

Outdoors, a paper poster will last from a few days to a couple of weeks depending on weather conditions. For longer-term use, we offer printing on PVC banner fabric or poster lamination, as well as printing transferred onto self-adhesive vinyl with contour cutting. If you plan to use the poster outdoors for more than a month, it's more practical to make a banner or roll-up stand.

Non-standard and larger-than-A0 formats

On a roll, we produce posters up to 1.5 m wide, with practically no limit on length. This means we can print, for example, a 1000×2000 mm poster for a shop window, a 700×2000 mm vertical banner, or split an even larger image into overlapping segments that are then assembled on a wall. For non-standard sizes we calculate the price per square metre, so please send us the exact size in millimetres.

File requirements

For the poster to look as intended, files need to be prepared correctly:

  • Format: PDF, AI or EPS; text converted to curves or fonts embedded.
  • Colour space: CMYK. RGB files are converted, and bright colours may become more muted.
  • Resolution: 150 dpi at actual size for A1–A0 posters, 300 dpi for A3–A2.
  • Bleed: 3 mm on each side if the background runs to the edge.
  • Keep important text and logos at least 8–10 mm from the edge.

If you don't have artwork, we'll prepare it for you. A simple poster layout based on your text and images — indicatively from EUR 25; for more complex projects, we agree on the price in advance. Before printing, we send a PDF for approval, and for large print runs we can prepare a single sample.

Turnaround and delivery

The standard turnaround for posters is 3–5 business days from artwork approval. Small quantities (up to 10 pieces, A3–A1) are usually ready within 2–3 business days. For large-format orders with lamination or contour cutting, allow up to 5 business days. We accept urgent jobs by arrangement — we check feasibility before confirming.

Finished items can be collected from Kandavas iela 29A or delivered by courier. Posters up to A1 are packed flat in a cardboard envelope; A0 and larger are rolled into a tube to avoid creases.

Who we most often print posters for

We regularly work with event organisers (concert and theatre posters), cafés and restaurants (menu posters, seasonal offers), sports clubs (competition information, results boards), schools and municipalities (informational posters, exhibition materials), as well as shops for window displays. Often a single event requires several formats at once: A3 for distribution on notice boards, A1 for street stands and A0 for the entrance area — we produce all of this in one order using a single artwork at different scales.
