PVC Banners with Loops and Grommets for Outdoor Advertising

PVC banners for outdoor advertising with a welded hem and grommets every 50 cm. Approximately 12–18 EUR/m² excl. VAT, production in 3–5 business days.

PVC banner with metal grommets mounted on a building façade

PVC banners with metal grommets and hemmed edges are the standard solution for outdoor advertising in Latvia: we produce banners on 440–510 g/m² PVC fabric with a 3–5 cm welded hem and stainless steel 10 mm grommets every 40–50 cm, with reinforced corners. The approximate price is from 14 to 18 EUR/m² excl. VAT depending on the total area, and the standard production time is 3–5 business days.

What's included in the finished banner

A banner isn't just printed fabric — its durability depends on how the edges are finished. Our standard specification for an outdoor banner includes:

  • Material — PVC (frontlit) fabric, 440 g/m² for standard banners or 510 g/m² for large areas exposed to wind;
  • Printing — UV/solvent inks, resistant to rain and UV radiation; colour retention outdoors is 2–3 seasons;
  • Hem — edges folded and heat-welded (not just cut), which is more durable than a sewn hem;
  • Grommets — nickel-plated, 10 mm diameter, every 40–50 cm, always placed in every corner;
  • Corner reinforcement — an extra PVC insert, since corners are the first to tear.

If the banner is mounted on a frame with bungee cords or rope, a 50 cm grommet spacing is sufficient. If it's fixed only along the top and bottom edges (for example, against a façade), the grommet spacing is reduced to 30–40 cm.

Loops, tunnels and other mounting options

A loop, or tunnel, is a fold through which a pipe, wooden batten or cable is run. It's used when the banner needs to hang on a pole or be stretched between two supports. The standard tunnel width is 5–8 cm, depending on the pipe diameter — when ordering, please specify the pipe diameter so we can adjust the tunnel width accordingly.

Approximate prices

Banner pricing is calculated per square metre, so a small banner always works out more expensive per square metre. The figures below are approximate, excl. VAT, including the hem and grommets; the exact price depends on the area, material density and any additional finishing.

Total areaApprox. EUR/m²Example
1–3 m²from 181×2 m banner — approx. 36 EUR
4–10 m²from 152×3 m banner — approx. 90 EUR
11–30 m²from 143×6 m banner — approx. 252 EUR

We also work with single pieces — there's no minimum order. For larger quantities and repeat orders using the same artwork, the price decreases. The full range of printing services and formats is available in the banners and roll-up banner stands section, and you can browse all products in our shop.

Mesh or PVC — which to choose

If the banner is to be mounted on scaffolding, a high-rise façade, or anywhere with constant wind, we recommend mesh (perforated) fabric. It lets wind pass through, significantly reducing the load on the fixings. Mesh costs approximately 2–4 EUR/m² more than standard PVC, and the printed image appears slightly lighter, so we avoid fine text in the artwork.

Standard PVC (frontlit) is the right choice for fences, stands, event backdrop walls and any case where the banner is stretched on a rigid frame or against a wall. If you want the banner to last several seasons, choose the 510 g material.

Files and timelines

We ask for artwork in vector format — .ai, .eps or .pdf, in CMYK colour space. For raster images on large banners, 100–150 dpi at final size, or 1000–1500 dpi at a 1:10 scale, is sufficient. Important: leave a 5 cm margin from the edge to any text or logo, since part of the area is folded into the hem and around the grommets.

Frequently asked questions

How many grommets will my banner have?

By default, grommets are set every 40–50 cm around the entire perimeter, always in every corner. For a 2×3 m banner, that's approximately 20–22 grommets. If you'll only be fixing the top and bottom edges, let us know — we'll only add grommets where needed.

How long does a PVC banner last outdoors?

Printed with UV inks, a 440–510 g PVC banner retains its appearance for 2–3 seasons in Latvia's climate. The mounting method is the deciding factor: a properly tensioned banner wears out more slowly than one that flaps in the wind and rubs against a fence.

Can you make a custom size?

Yes. We can produce any size up to 3.2 m wide in a single piece; length is practically unlimited. Wider banners are welded together from several pieces — the seam is durable and barely noticeable in the artwork.

Should wind slits be cut into the banner?

We don't recommend it. Slits spoil the visual appearance of the advert and rarely help — tears usually start right at the cuts. For windy locations, it's better to choose mesh fabric or a tighter grommet spacing.

Can I order just a single banner?

Yes, the minimum order is one banner. For a single piece, the price per square metre is higher, but there are no setup fees.

Do you deliver outside Riga?

Yes, we ship by courier throughout Latvia; banners are rolled up or folded depending on size. Our office is located at Kandavas iela 29A, Riga, where orders can also be collected in person.
