An installer applying a printed vinyl sticker to a shop window

We produce and deliver window stickers — price starts at approximately 24 EUR/m² on matte or gloss self-adhesive vinyl; from 5 m² the price is 22 EUR/m², from 20 m² — 19 EUR/m² (all prices excl. VAT). Contour cutting along the shape costs an extra 8 EUR/m², and artwork preparation is free of charge. Standard production time is 2-5 business days depending on volume; urgent jobs by arrangement.

How much do window stickers cost

The price is calculated based on the total printed vinyl area, not the number of individual stickers. This means one large 4 m² shop window sign and twenty smaller stickers with the same total area will cost about the same.

Real-life examples

  • A café door sticker with opening hours, 0.4 × 0.6 m (0.24 m²) with contour cutting — about 8 EUR. In such cases we usually apply the minimum order amount, so it's worth combining small jobs into a single order.
  • A shop window promo sign, 3 × 1.2 m (3.6 m²) without contour cutting — about 86 EUR.
  • A retail chain order of 24 m² matte vinyl with contour cutting — about 19 + 8 = 27 EUR/m², roughly 648 EUR in total.

The exact price depends on the area, material, contour cutting and whether on-site installation is needed. Current options can be viewed in the sticker printing section.

Materials: what to choose for a shop window

Matte vinyl

Matte vinyl doesn't reflect street lighting or window display lamps, so text is easier to read. It's the usual choice for opening-hours stickers, logos on doors and informational signs. The matte finish also shows fingerprints less.

Gloss vinyl

Gloss vinyl delivers richer colours and is a better choice for photos, product images and colourful promotional posters in a shop window. In direct sunlight it can reflect, so for large glass surfaces matte is often the better option.

Contour cutting

Contour cutting (8 EUR/m²) means the vinyl is cut along the shape of the image — without a rectangular background. For logos, letters and shapes it's almost essential, since on glass every extra transparent edge is visible. In practice the smallest cut detail is around 8-10 mm; finer details become unstable on glass.

Applied from inside or outside

If the sticker is applied from inside the room onto the inner glass surface, the artwork needs to be mirrored and printed in reverse order. This option protects well against scratches and weather. Stickers applied from outside are exposed to washing, snow and UV — average lifespan in Latvian conditions is 2-4 years.

Installation: dry and wet methods

Small stickers up to A4 size can be applied using the dry method: peeling off the backing paper in sections and smoothing it out from the centre outwards with a cloth. For large shop window areas we use the wet method — the glass and the adhesive layer of the vinyl are sprayed with water and a few drops of washing-up liquid, which allows the vinyl to be repositioned before it sticks.

Practical requirements:

  • The glass must be clean and grease-free; it's best cleaned with an alcohol solution.
  • Air temperature of at least +10 °C. In winter, outdoor application without a tent and heating doesn't work.
  • After the wet method, the vinyl needs 24-48 hours to dry before the window is washed.
  • For the first 24 hours, avoid using a pressure washer or sharp scrapers.

We provide installation in Riga and the surrounding area — costs are calculated separately based on area and access (stairs, lift, work after store closing hours). For simple shop windows this is usually around 8-15 EUR/m², approximate.

Files and artwork requirements

For large-format stickers we require vector graphics — .ai, .eps or .pdf, CMYK colours, fonts converted to outlines. For raster images on shop windows, 100-150 dpi at actual size is enough, since the viewer stands at least a metre away. If the artwork is at a 1:10 scale, be sure to indicate this in the file or in your message.

For contour cutting, please include a separate cutting line vector on a layer named "cut". If it's not there, we'll draw it ourselves — preparation is free of charge.

Turnaround times

Standard production time after artwork approval:

VolumeTurnaround
up to 3 m², without contour cutting2-3 business days
3-20 m² with contour cutting3-5 business days
over 20 m², multiple sites5 business days or by arrangement

We can speed up urgent jobs to 2 business days if the artwork file is ready and the material is in stock — this is arranged separately.

What to combine window stickers with

Shops and cafés often combine window stickers in a single order with posters for the display window and a banner or roll-up banner stand by the entrance. Ordering everything together is more convenient both for logistics and colour matching — we prepare all items with a single colour profile, so your brand colour matches across vinyl and paper.

FAQ

How much does one small sticker on a door cost?

The price is calculated based on area: a 0.2 m² sticker with contour cutting is about 7 EUR (excl. VAT). For very small orders we apply a minimum amount, so we usually recommend ordering all the stickers you need in one go.

How long do window stickers last?

On the outer glass surface in Latvia's climate, with regular washing — 2-4 years. Stickers applied from inside last longer, 4-5 years, since they don't come into contact with weather or cleaning products.

Can a sticker be removed without damaging the glass?

Yes. The vinyl is heated to about 40-50 °C with an industrial heat gun and peeled off slowly at an angle. Adhesive residue is removed with alcohol or a special adhesive remover. No marks are left on the glass.

Matte or gloss — which is better for a shop window?

For text, logos and opening-hours information, matte is better since it doesn't reflect. For colourful product images and photos — gloss. Both cost the same: from 25 EUR/m², from 20 m² — 19 EUR/m².

Do you also install the stickers?

Yes, in Riga and the surrounding area. Installation costs are calculated separately, approximately 8-15 EUR/m² depending on area and access conditions.

What file format should I send?

Vector graphics in .ai, .eps or .pdf format, CMYK, fonts converted to outlines. If you only have a photo or a sketch, we'll prepare the artwork — basic preparation is free of charge.
