Waterproof Outdoor Stickers — Printing from EUR 19/m²

We produce waterproof stickers for outdoor use on PVC self-adhesive vinyl — matte or gloss — priced from EUR 25/m² excl. VAT, from EUR 22/m² for 5 m²+ and from EUR 19/m² for 20 m²+. Contour cutting to any shape costs an extra EUR 8/m², with no design preparation fee. Standard production time is 2–5 business days, depending on volume and whether lamination is required.

What makes a sticker waterproof

A paper sticker will survive one rain shower outdoors. For genuine outdoor use, three components work together:

• Self-adhesive PVC vinyl — doesn't absorb water, stays flexible and withstands temperature swings from roughly −30 to +70 °C.
• Durable print — pigmented inks that don't bleed or lose colour from moisture.
• Protective lamination (optional) — a transparent film over the print that shields it from UV, scratches, cleaning agents and grit.

Without lamination, an outdoor sticker typically lasts about 1–2 years; with lamination, 3–5 years, depending on sun exposure. Stickers facing south and getting direct sun all day fade faster than ones in shade or under cover.

Matte or gloss vinyl

The price is the same for both — the choice is a practical one, not a budget one.

On the practical side: if a sticker is applied to a glass entrance door with lamps shining on it at night, matte vinyl will be easier to read. If it's a brand logo on a dark car or a white coffee kiosk wall, gloss will look more striking.

Prices and quantities

Stickers are charged by square metre — the total area of all stickers is summed, including the technical gaps on the sheet. This means 200 small 5×5 cm stickers might only add up to half a square metre.

Prices are excl. VAT and indicative — the exact amount depends on volume, shape complexity, lamination, and whether stickers are cut individually or left on sheets. Contour cutting

Contour cutting means the sticker is cut to the shape of the design rather than a rectangle — circles, ovals, logo silhouettes, letters with no background. This adds EUR 8/m². If logo letters are cut individually and applied to glass with no background, we recommend application tape so the lettering keeps correct spacing.

Where these stickers are most commonly used

• Cars and trailers — company logo, phone number, website on doors and rear panels. Lamination is essential here, as the sticker is exposed to washing and road grit.
• Shop windows and entrance doors — opening hours, address, payment card signs, WiFi information.
• Outdoor equipment and gear — sports club equipment, event barriers, containers, tool boxes.
• Product labels — for bottles and jars that end up in a fridge or damp environment. In this case, water resistance is needed even if the product never goes outdoors.
• Signage and numbering — municipal facilities, school grounds, parking areas, bike racks.

If stickers are part of a larger visual identity, we often prepare matching posters and banners in the same order, using the same colour profile, so the logo looks consistent across all materials.

How to prepare the file

There are only a few file requirements, but they matter:

• Vector graphics .ai, .eps or .pdf, colours in CMYK. We accept raster images, but they need at least 150 dpi at actual size.
• Convert fonts to outlines or attach them separately.
• If there's a background colour running to the edge, leave a 2 mm bleed and keep text at least 3 mm from the cut line.
• For contour cutting, mark the cut line as a separate vector path.

If you don't have a file at all, we can start from your logo and text — a simple layout is prepared free of charge; for more complex designs, we'll agree on the scope separately.

Application and care

The surface must be clean, dry and grease-free — isopropyl alcohol or a soap-free glass cleaner works well. It's best to apply stickers when the surface and air temperature is at least +10 °C; in cold weather the adhesive doesn't bond fully and the sticker can start lifting at the corners later. For larger stickers, use the wet application method with water and a drop of dish soap, so you can smooth out air bubbles.

Don't wash the surface or use an automatic car wash with brushes for the first 24–48 hours after application. After that, the sticker can be washed with regular products; avoid aiming a high-pressure jet directly at the sticker's edge and avoid abrasive cleaners.

Turnaround

Standard sticker orders are produced in 2–5 business days from design approval. Simple rectangular stickers without lamination are often ready in 2–3 days. If you need a shorter deadline, flag it as urgent right away in correspondence — for events and openings, we can usually fit it into the schedule. How long does a waterproof sticker last outdoors?

Without lamination, expect 1–2 years; with protective lamination, 3–5 years. Stickers facing north or in shade last longer; direct southern sun fades colours faster.

Can a sticker be applied to a car and washed at a car wash?

Yes, if the sticker is laminated. Avoid washing for the first 24–48 hours after application; after that, automatic washing won't harm the sticker. Don't aim a high-pressure jet directly at the edges.

How much do 100 stickers at 8×8 cm cost?

A hundred 8×8 cm stickers come to roughly 0.64 m² of net area, or about 0.8–1 m² including technical gaps. In rectangular form that's around EUR 20–25 excl. VAT; with circular contour cutting, around EUR 27–33. We prepare an exact quote once we receive your file.

Can stickers be removed without leaving marks?

PVC vinyl with standard adhesive usually comes off glass and lacquered metal surfaces using a heat gun and adhesive remover, without damage. If you plan to remove the sticker after a season, let us know in advance — we'll then use an easier-to-remove adhesive.

Do you make a single sticker?

Yes, we also work with single-piece orders. The minimum billable area in that case is small, but the price per square metre is at the top tier — for larger volumes, costs drop down to EUR 19/m².
