Packaging and product stickers — printing in Riga from EUR 17.60/m²

We print packaging stickers in Riga from EUR 17.60/m² (standard printing without cutting), with contour cutting and transfer tape from EUR 24.00/m², and transparent stickers from EUR 48.00/m² (prices excl. VAT). There's no setup fee for stickers, production usually takes 1–3 business days, and we work with anything from a single A4 sheet to several thousand stickers on rolls. At our production site on Kandavas iela 29A we print product labels, ingredient and instruction stickers, translation labels and seals for packaging.

Which materials suit product and packaging stickers

Material choice depends on where the sticker will be applied and how long it needs to last. In practice, manufacturers usually need one of four options:

  • Self-adhesive paper — the cheapest solution for dry goods: cardboard boxes, bags, jars in a food shop. Not resistant to moisture or rubbing.
  • PP film (white) — the standard for cosmetics, chemicals, beverages and candle jars. Withstands moisture, fridge conditions and finger rubbing; with lamination, also oils and alcohol.
  • Transparent film — a "no label look" effect on glass and transparent plastic packaging; price EUR 48.00/m².
  • Metallised film (silver brushed, mirror film) — for premium labels and equipment nameplates; EUR 64.00 and EUR 48.00/m².

Separately, there's *easy removable* adhesive (EUR 28.80/m²) — designed for stickers that need to come off without a trace: promotional labels, price stickers on packaging, translation labels that the customer will remove. If the sticker will be on a shop or factory floor, we use floor laminate (EUR 40.00/m²), which withstands foot traffic and washing.

Do you need lamination

We recommend lamination whenever the packaging comes into contact with hands, moisture or disinfectants — for example, cosmetic bottles or food containers. A matte laminate makes colours more subdued and allows writing on top with a marker, while a gloss laminate emphasises colours. Laminated printed stickers cost EUR 24.00/m².

How much is it per sticker

We calculate stickers based on printed area, so small labels end up costing just a few cents per piece. Below are approximate calculations for laminated stickers (EUR 24.00/m²), accounting for gaps between stickers and material edges.

Sticker sizeApprox. pcs per 1 m²Price per pc (approx.)
40×60 mm~330from EUR 0.07
Ø 50 mm~300from EUR 0.08
70×100 mm~130from EUR 0.19
A6 (105×148 mm)~60from EUR 0.40
A5 (148×210 mm)~30from EUR 0.80

For transparent or metallised film, the price per piece is roughly two to three times higher. These figures are indicative — the exact price depends on quantity, material, shape (rectangle or complex contour) and how efficiently the stickers fit onto the material roll width. For small orders, we calculate based on a minimum sheet or area amount, so 50 and 200 stickers often end up costing similarly.

Sheets, rolls and contour cutting

Sheets (A4, A3 or custom size) are convenient when stickers are applied by hand in an office or small production facility. Rolls with a predetermined winding direction and gap are needed when packaging is labelled using a hand applicator or automatic labelling machine — in that case, let us know the roll's inner diameter and the number of stickers per roll upfront.

Contour cutting allows us to produce any shape — circles, ovals, rounded corners, a logo shape without a background. We also do "kiss cut" (only the sticker is cut, the backing remains intact) and full cuts for individual stickers. Find out more about the options in our stickers section, and you can view examples of previous work in our portfolio gallery.

Marking labels: ingredients, instructions, translations

Manufacturers and importers often need not a beautiful label, but functional marking: ingredients, batch number, expiry date, warnings, EAN barcode, a Latvian translation on imported packaging. We print such jobs regularly — usually on white PP film or *easy removable* material, if the sticker needs to be placed over existing text.

Two technical conditions worth keeping in mind: the barcode must be in vector format and no smaller than 80% of the standard size, and small text (ingredients, warnings) should be at least 6 pt in black on a white background — smaller text starts to blur in digital printing. If you need variable data (different batch or serial numbers), let us know upfront — we prepare it from an Excel list.

Files and turnaround

We expect artwork in vector format: .ai, .eps, .pdf or .svg, colours in CMYK, raster images at least 300 dpi. For contour cutting, add a separate cutting line as a vector path. If you don't have artwork, we can help put it together based on your logo and text.

Sticker production takes 1–3 business days after artwork approval by email. Urgent jobs are done by agreement — simple stickers can often be printed the same or next day. If you also need large-format printing or business cards and brochures at the same time, we can combine everything into one quote and one delivery.

Frequently asked questions

How much do packaging stickers cost for a small quantity?

We calculate the price based on area: laminated printed stickers with contour cutting cost EUR 24.00/m², so a 40×60 mm label works out to approximately EUR 0.07 per piece. For small quantities we apply a minimum area amount, so 100–300 stickers can in practice cost similarly.

Will the sticker withstand moisture and fridge conditions?

PP film with lamination withstands condensation, fridge conditions and hand washing. Paper stickers are not suitable for moisture — we use them only for dry packaging and internal marking.

Can you produce stickers on rolls for a labelling machine?

Yes. We need to know the sticker size, gap, winding direction, roll's inner diameter and number of stickers per roll — please include these parameters in your request.

How long does an order take?

Standard sticker printing takes 1–3 business days after artwork approval. For urgent cases, we agree on terms separately.

What file format should the artwork be sent in?

Vector format (.ai, .eps, .pdf, .svg), CMYK colours, raster images at 300 dpi. Add the cutting contour as a separate vector line.

Can I order a sample before the large print run?

Yes, and we recommend it if the label is important to the product's appearance. We print a few pieces on the planned material to check colours and adhesive performance on your packaging.
