Roll Labels for Products and Packaging
Roll labels for marking products and packaging: matte or glossy self-adhesive vinyl from EUR 19/m², contour cutting EUR 8/m², production in 3–10 business days.

We produce roll labels on matte or glossy self-adhesive vinyl — price starting at approximately EUR 25.00/m² (from 5 m² EUR 22.00/m², from 20 m² EUR 19.00/m²), contour cutting an extra EUR 8.00/m², no setup fees. In practice, this means 1,000 round Ø40 mm labels come to around EUR 61 excl. VAT, while 5,000 labels at 50×50 mm come to around EUR 423 excl. VAT. Standard production time is 2–5 business days depending on quantity and finishing; urgent jobs by arrangement.
When roll labels are the right choice
A roll is convenient when you apply labels regularly and one at a time: ingredient and expiry date labels on jars and bottles, price and weight markings, branded stickers on cardboard boxes and paper bags, seal labels on food packaging, name labels on cosmetics and soap products.
Sheets are more cost-effective if the labels are large (A6 and up) or you need a small quantity for a single event. A roll wins when the quantity is at least a few hundred pieces and application happens at a production table or with a hand applicator. We produce both versions from the same file — only the finishing differs.
Materials: matte or glossy vinyl
The price is the same for both materials, so the choice is a practical one, not a budget question.
- Matte vinyl — non-reflective, can be written on with a marker or pencil, looks good on kraft paper and natural cardboard packaging. Suited to dry environments: boxes, bags, cardboard cartons, honey and tea jars.
- Glossy vinyl — brighter colours, smoother surface, holds up better against moisture, grease and wiping. A good choice for cosmetics, beverages, refrigerated products and labels on plastic containers.
If the label will regularly come into contact with water, oil or friction (for example, bottles displayed in an open fridge), we recommend additional lamination — this is calculated separately based on the specific size. More details on materials and formats can be found in the sticker printing section.
Prices by size: how many labels fit on one square metre
Labels are priced per square metre of printed vinyl, including a 3 mm gap between labels. The table below shows indicative prices with contour cutting (25.00 + 8.00 = 33.00 EUR/m²) excl. VAT.
| Label size | Approx. pcs/m² | Price 1–4 m² (33 EUR/m²) | Approx. EUR/pc |
|---|---|---|---|
| 30×30 mm | ~900 | 33.00 | ~0.04 |
| Ø40 mm | ~540 | 33.00 | ~0.06 |
| 60×40 mm | ~370 | 33.00 | ~0.09 |
| 50×50 mm | ~355 | 33.00 | ~0.09 |
| 90×50 mm | ~200 | 33.00 | ~0.17 |
| A6 (105×148 mm) | ~60 | 33.00 | ~0.55 |
From 5 m² of vinyl the price drops to EUR 22.00/m² (EUR 30.00/m² total with cutting), and from 20 m² — to EUR 19.00/m² (EUR 27.00/m² total).
Three real-world calculations
- 1,000 pcs Ø40 mm → ~1.85 m² → approx. EUR 61 (~EUR 0.06/pc)
- 5,000 pcs 50×50 mm → ~14.1 m² → approx. EUR 423 (~EUR 0.085/pc)
- 20,000 pcs 30×30 mm → ~21.8 m² → approx. EUR 589 (~EUR 0.03/pc)
If the label is a rectangle with straight edges and a single-direction cut is sufficient, contour cutting costs may be lower — we confirm this once we see the artwork. All prices are excl. VAT and indicative; the final amount depends on size, quantity, and how many colour areas are in the artwork.
Files and technical requirements
Artwork should be sent in vector format — .ai, .eps or .pdf, colours in CMYK. Practical tips:
- The cut line should be drawn as a separate line (for example, named "CutContour") on its own layer.
- Allow a 2 mm bleed around the edges; keep text and logos at least 2 mm from the cut line.
- Fonts converted to outlines, images at least 300 dpi at actual size.
- Rounded corners of 2–3 mm help the label stick better and prevent lifting at the corners.
If you don't have a vector file, we can prepare the artwork based on your text, logo and content requirements — we'll assess the scope of work before starting. For food labels, the client is responsible for the accuracy of mandatory information (ingredients, allergens, net weight, manufacturer).
Roll parameters and timelines
When ordering a roll, it's useful to specify three things: the cardboard core diameter of the roll, the number of labels per roll, and the unwind direction, if you're using an applicator for application. If you're applying labels by hand, a standard winding and 250–1,000 labels per roll is usually sufficient.
Standard turnaround is 2–5 business days from artwork approval: small runs usually take 2–3 days, while larger volumes with additional finishing may take up to 5 business days. Finished orders can be collected at Kandavas iela 29A, Riga, or we can ship by courier. We also work with single-piece orders — for example, if you need to check how a label looks on a specific jar before a large run. Our other printing services can be found in the services section.
Frequently asked questions
How much do 1,000 roll labels cost?
It depends on the size. 1,000 round Ø40 mm labels cost around EUR 61 excl. VAT, 60×40 mm — around EUR 90, 90×50 mm — around EUR 165. The price already includes printing (approximately EUR 25.00/m²) and contour cutting (EUR 8.00/m²), with no setup fees.
Do the labels withstand moisture and refrigeration?
Yes, the vinyl is moisture-resistant, and the glossy version holds up better against water and grease. For constant contact with water or dishwashing, we recommend additional lamination, calculated separately.
Can I order several different designs in one order?
Yes. Digital printing doesn't require separate printing plates, so, for example, six flavours or six product lines in one order cost the same as a single design with the same total square metreage. We create a separate roll for each design.
What is the minimum order quantity for labels?
There's no minimum — we also produce runs of 20 or 50 labels. Just keep in mind that price tiers start from 5 m², so smaller runs have a higher price per piece.
How long does it take to get finished labels?
Usually 3–10 business days after artwork approval. If you need a shorter turnaround, let us know right away — we can arrange urgent jobs by agreement.
Send us the label size, approximate quantity and artwork to info@attaprint.lv, call +371 25776699, or message us on WhatsApp at the same number — contact details here. We prepare a quote with exact square metreage and price per piece within one business day.
