Which business cards to choose
In practice, most orders fall into four groups. The difference lies in the thickness of the card stock, the surface finish and the trimming method — the design can be identical across all options.
- Standard 300 g — the classic choice for everyday use: events, sales reps, café counters. Holds up well, though after a month it may start to bend slightly in a pocket.
- Thick 400–600 g — the card has noticeable weight and a firm edge. Often chosen by lawyers, architects, hair salons and restaurants, where the card is handed to the client in person.
- With lamination (matte, gloss, soft-touch) — the film protects against scuffs and grease. Matte lamination doesn't reflect light in photos and makes dark colours look deeper; gloss makes images stand out; soft-touch gives a velvety feel.
- With rounded corners — the radius is usually 3 mm or 5 mm. The card doesn't fray in pockets and looks visually softer. We always combine rounding with lamination if you want the corners to stay scratch-free.
When a thick card makes sense
If you hand out a business card 5–10 times a day and it stays in a client's wallet for months, 400 g or double-glued 600 g card stock pays off. If you leave cards on a counter for free pick-up in the hundreds, 300 g is perfectly sufficient.

How the price changes as the print run grows
In digital printing, most of the cost comes from setup and trimming, not paper. That's why 300 pcs rarely costs three times as much as 100 pcs. If you're planning cards for 2–3 employees, it's more cost-effective to order all sets at once — then we apply the approximate EUR 22 price per set.
Turnaround times
- Standard 300 g, no finishing: 3–5 business days.
- With lamination and/or rounded corners: 5–7 business days.
- Thick cards with gluing: up to 7–10 business days.
- Urgent jobs: by arrangement, often achievable in 2–3 business days if the file is print-ready.
The turnaround starts once the artwork preview is approved and the order confirmed. Finished orders can be collected on-site at Kandavas iela 29A, Riga, or we can send them by courier.
File requirements
To avoid reprints, please prepare your file as follows:
- Format: vector graphics — .ai, .eps or .pdf. Colour space CMYK, images at least 300 dpi.
- Size 90x55 mm plus a 2 mm bleed on each side, i.e. 94x59 mm.
- Text and logo at least 4 mm from the trim line. If rounded corners are planned — 5 mm, since the corners are cut according to the radius.
- Fonts converted to outlines (curves).
- Use 100% K for black text rather than four-colour black — this avoids blurred edges.
If you don't have an artwork file, we can create one for you. A simple business card based on your logo and text usually costs approximately EUR 20–40, depending on the amount of work involved. We always send the artwork for approval as a PDF before printing.
Common mistake: a background that's too dark
A solid deep black or dark blue background on an unlaminated card shows every scuff and fingerprint. In this case, we recommend matte lamination — it protects the surface and removes unwanted shine.
