What a woven-in logo is and how it differs from printing
A woven-in (jacquard) design means the sock is knitted from multi-coloured threads, and the logo is formed by the stitches themselves. There's no additional layer on the fabric — the sock keeps its breathability and stretch, and the pattern lasts as long as the sock itself.
Printing on ready-made socks (such as heat transfer) is cheaper for small quantities, but on stretchy knitted fabric it cracks and wears off quickly. That's why for corporate orders, sports clubs and gift sets, we recommend the woven-in option.
What "1 colour" means in the price list
The "1 colour" indication in catalogue items refers to the design colour in addition to the sock's base colour. In practice, a simple logo or text in one contrasting colour is the standard solution; multi-colour jacquard is possible, but each additional colour affects the price and production complexity — we calculate this individually in the quote.
What kind of design can and can't be woven in
Knitting works with stitches, so the image is formed like a pixel grid. This creates some limitations:
- Works well: simple shapes, letters, crests, icons, stripes, dots, continuous patterns running along the whole length of the sock.
- Works with caution: thin text (below 8 mm in height on the shin area becomes hard to read), fine details with 1 mm lines.
- Doesn't work: photographs, colour gradients, shading, transparency, very fine typography.
The most common logo placements are the shin (on the side or front), ankle, top elastic band, heel and toe in a contrasting colour, as well as a continuous pattern along the whole sock. For classic-length socks, the logo on the shin usually fits within an area of about 50×40 mm; for ankle socks, a smaller zone near the ankle.

How the ordering process works, step by step
- Request. Send your logo and approximate quantity to info@attaprint.lv or add the product to a request on our website.
- Quote. Within one business day, we send an online price and a PDF with the product image, pricing by quantity, artwork preparation fee and timeline.
- Artwork. We prepare a visualisation with your logo on the chosen model — showing the colour combination and logo placement. The artwork must be approved by email.
- Production. Once approved, the socks are knitted from scratch. A woven-in design takes longer than standard printing — plan on roughly 3–4 weeks; we confirm the exact date in the quote.
- Collection. Delivery or pick-up at Kandavas iela 29A, Riga.
Files and sizes
The logo is needed in vector format (.ai, .eps, .pdf, .svg). If you don't have a vector file, we can redraw it — this is a one-off service fee. Specify colours in Pantone or CMYK values; the knitting thread palette is limited, so we choose the closest shade and show it in the artwork.
Sizes are usually grouped into ranges (for example, 36–40 and 41–45). Within a single 100-pair order, sizes can be split — let us know the approximate proportion, and we'll include it in the quote.
