Flower Shop Stickers, Tags, Ribbons and Cards: A Guide

How florists can order flower shop stickers, tags and cards in small runs: materials, formats, guide prices and 1–3 business day turnaround.

Flower shop stickers, tags, ribbons and cards: a guide

Flower shop stickers are most often ordered as round Ø30–50 mm stickers with a logo for packaging, plus thinner ingredient or care stickers for pots — we print them both in sheets and rolls, with contour cutting, and for small runs we start from as little as one A3 sheet. Bouquet tags, thank-you cards and shipping stickers are digitally printed from 1 piece, with a turnaround of 1–3 business days for our in-house printing. As a guide, 500 round paper stickers Ø40 mm cost from around EUR 0.06/pc excl. VAT, with the exact price depending on material, shape and quantity.

What a flower shop actually needs

In practice, a florist's brand is made up of a handful of small elements that repeat with every order. They're inexpensive, but they're exactly what sticks in the customer's memory once the bouquet reaches home.

  • A logo sticker on paper wrapping, a box or a bag — seals the packaging and replaces tying a ribbon.
  • A tag for the bouquet, with or without a cord: logo, Instagram handle, phone number.
  • A thank-you or greeting card that can be filled in by hand.
  • Care instructions — how often to change the water, how to trim stems, how to look after a potted plant.
  • Shipping stickers reading "Handle with care", "This side up", "Live flowers" for the courier.
  • Price tags and shelf stickers in-store, including the Latin name for potted plants.

Stickers: materials and formats

For dry environments

Paper stickers work well for packaging, boxes and cards — matte, takes a stamp and pen nicely, and the cheapest option. They can be printed in sheets (A4/A3, several stickers per sheet) or in rolls, if the shop handles a lot of orders and it's more convenient to peel the sticker off a roll.

For humid environments

For vases, pots, water containers and chiller-cabinet products, we use PP film or vinyl — these don't suffer from moisture and won't fall apart when the sticker comes into contact with a wet surface. Transparent stickers look great on cellophane and glass, since only the print itself is visible. Metallic (gold, silver) stickers are often chosen for gift and seasonal collections.

Shape

Standard shapes are circle, square and rectangle with rounded corners. If the logo is more complex — a leaf, monogram, flower — we do contour cutting following the vector outline. For everything on materials and formats, see our sticker printing section.

Tags, cards and ribbons

Tags are printed on 300–350 g/m² card, single- or double-sided, with a hole for a cord if needed. The most popular sizes are 50×90 mm, 40×70 mm and square 60×60 mm. Thank-you cards are often ordered in the business card format 85×55 mm or 90×50 mm — this saves money, as they're printed in the same run as business cards and invitations.

We should be upfront about ribbons: we don't print onto rolls of satin ribbon. There are three practical alternatives for florists — a logo sticker on the end of a plain-coloured ribbon, a card tag with a cord, or printed fabric neck ribbons for staff and events. For fabric ribbons and textile solutions we use sublimation or DTF transfer, and quantities there start from larger volumes.

These figures are a guide based on the Latvian market — the exact price depends on material, size, shape complexity and quantity. From 1000+ pcs, the price per piece drops significantly, so it's often worth printing a year's supply in a single order.

Files and turnaround

Logos and artwork should be sent as vector files — .ai, .eps, .pdf or .svg, in CMYK. If you're using a photograph (for example, a bouquet photo on a card), it should be at least 300 dpi at print size. If you don't have a vector file, we can help prepare the artwork; we send it for approval by email before printing.

Turnaround: stickers, cards, tags and posters — 1–3 business days after artwork approval. Promotional products with printing (bags, mugs, pens) — usually 6–10 business days: production 4–7 business days depending on quantity, plus 2–3 days for delivery. Urgent jobs, such as stickers for Mother's Day or Valentine's week, can be arranged by agreement.

FAQ

How small a quantity can I order?

We print stickers from a single A3 sheet, and cards and tags from 1 piece. You can start with a test batch of 50–100 pcs and only order a larger quantity afterwards.

Will the stickers withstand moisture on a vase or pot?

Paper stickers won't. For these spots we use PP film or vinyl, which withstands water droplets and wet surfaces; we can add extra lamination if needed.

Can you make stickers with a transparent background for cellophane?

Yes. For transparent stickers, only the logo and text are printed, while the background stays clear. Light colours on dark packaging look weaker in a transparent material — in such cases we recommend a white underprint or a white material.

How do I prepare multi-language ingredient and care stickers?

Send us the text in a Word or Excel file; we'll lay it out to fit the sticker size, keeping to a minimum legible font size (usually from 6 pt). Translation and ingredient stickers are often printed in rolls.

How long in advance should I order before a holiday?

For in-house printing, allow 1–3 business days plus time for artwork approval. Before Valentine's Day, 8 March and Mother's Day we recommend ordering at least 2 weeks ahead.

Can you print on satin ribbon?

We don't print onto ribbon rolls. We offer a logo sticker on the end of a ribbon, a card tag with a cord, or printed fabric neck ribbons for staff.
