Printing 1 item: can you print a single T-shirt or mug

Yes — printing a single item is a perfectly normal order for us, not an exception. For one T-shirt we use DTF technology (roughly from 6.00 EUR/pc for printing up to A4, no setup fee), for one mug — sublimation (around 8.00 EUR/pc including the mug). The turnaround for a single piece is usually 5–10 business days after artwork approval, urgent cases by agreement.

Why some places set a minimum of 20 or 50 pieces

The reason isn't reluctance to take on a small client, but the technology itself. In screen printing, a separate screen frame has to be made for each colour — in our price list, setup costs 35.00 EUR regardless of whether you print 1 or 500 shirts. Embroidery requires a stitch program to be prepared (25.00 EUR). For a single piece, this setup makes up most of the bill.

That's why for small batches we use technologies without setup: DTF for garments, sublimation for mugs, digital and large-format printing for paper and film. There the artwork is prepared once, and the first piece costs the same as the fifth.

What suits a single piece and what doesn't

Practical example: one T-shirt with a DTF print in A4 size costs roughly 6.00 EUR for the print plus the price of the shirt itself. One T-shirt with embroidery costs 25.00 + 5.50 = 30.50 EUR for the print — technically possible, but only logical if you need a specific gift or a sample before a larger batch.

How much it costs if you order more

Price tiers work automatically — you don't need to ask for a discount separately.

Prices are indicative, excl. VAT, and apply to the printing itself; the garment or mug is charged separately. The exact amount depends on quantity, print size, number of colours and positions.

Where the line between DTF and screen printing lies

The approximate break-even point is 30–40 pieces for a single-colour design. Up to that point, DTF works out cheaper, since there's no 35.00 EUR setup fee. Above that, screen printing becomes more cost-effective, and at 100+ pieces the difference is already significant. For multi-colour photographic images, DTF remains more cost-effective even at larger quantities, since in screen printing each colour requires a separate frame.

One mug: what's worth knowing

For mugs we use sublimation — the image becomes embedded in the coating rather than sitting on top like a sticker. For white ceramic 330 ml mugs, printing is possible across the full wrap-around; for thermal mugs (black ones that reveal the image when a hot drink is poured in), the image is applied in one or two positions.

How to order a single item: steps

1. Send a file to info@attaprint.lv or WhatsApp to +371 25776699 stating exactly what you want — for example, "1 black T-shirt L, print on chest ~A4".
2. We check the file and send a quote within one business day. If the size or colour isn't technically possible, we'll suggest an alternative.
3. You approve the digital artwork (showing how the print will look on the product).
4. Production: 5–10 business days after artwork approval — for both a single piece and larger batches.
5. Pick up at Kandavas iela 29A, Riga, or courier delivery.

File requirements

For a single piece, requirements are the same as for a hundred. The best option is vector graphics — .ai, .eps or .pdf with text converted to outlines and in CMYK colour space. If you only have a raster image (photo, logo image), it must be at least 300 dpi at the actual print size: for an A4 print, that means roughly 2480 × 3508 px.

The most common problem with one-off orders is a logo taken from a website or social media at 500 px width. Printed at 25 cm width, the edges will be blurred. If the original isn't available, we can redraw the logo in vector; for small logos this is usually 15–30 EUR.

For DTF printing, note that white isn't included on light-coloured materials unless it's a deliberate choice — otherwise a white base layer is applied under the image, and colours stay vivid on dark T-shirts.

Can I order a sample before a large batch?

Yes, and we recommend it if you're planning 100+ pieces in screen printing. We make the sample using DTF, so you can check the size and placement on the actual garment; the colour shade in screen printing may differ slightly, which we discuss separately.

Can I bring my own T-shirt or mug?

You can, but the material needs to be discussed beforehand. On synthetic fabrics, membranes and mugs without a sublimation coating, the print may not hold, and in such cases we don't guarantee the result.

Is the artwork included in the price of a small order?

The digital artwork preview is free of charge. If the design needs to be created from scratch or a logo converted to vector, we charge for that separately, usually 15–30 EUR.
