Food Delivery Stickers and Thermal Bags: Industry Guide

How to choose food delivery stickers for packaging, what to put on the ingredient label, and what to use to print courier thermal bags and aprons.

Food Delivery Stickers and Thermal Bags: Industry Guide

Food delivery stickers are most commonly ordered in three types: round logo stickers Ø40–60 mm for sealing packaging, rectangular ingredient and allergen stickers 60×40 or 70×50 mm, and long tamper-seal stickers 120–180 mm long that seal the lid over the edge. We print rolls from 500 pcs, sheets from 1 sheet, and the guide price for paper stickers in rolls starts from around EUR 0.05/pc at 1,000 pcs (excl. VAT, depending on size and number of colours). Thermal bags and courier clothing with a logo are printed separately — from 1 piece.

Which stickers a delivery kitchen needs

In practice, a food delivery business usually needs 3–5 different stickers:

  • Brand sticker – round or square, Ø40–60 mm, with logo and website. Seals a paper bag or cardboard box.
  • Ingredient and allergen sticker – 60×40 or 70×50 mm, with ingredients, allergens, weight, best-before date and producer details. Often needs a blank area for writing the date by hand or with a thermal printer.
  • Tamper-seal sticker – 150×25 mm or similar, placed over the container lid; if a courier or customer peels it off, it's visible.
  • Dish name stickers – with a separate name for each dish, or a blank field to mark with a marker.
  • "Hot" warning stickers or reheating time instructions for the microwave.

Materials: what withstands moisture and heat

The main mistake is choosing a plain paper sticker for a container that sweats during delivery. Condensation builds up under the lid, the paper absorbs water and the logo smears.

Prices are indicative, excl. VAT. The exact price depends on size, quantity, material and whether contour cutting is needed. For container stickers we recommend a matt-surface PP film — you can write on it with a marker, and it doesn't glare in photos.

Rolls or sheets

If stickers are applied at the pace of a conveyor, order them in rolls with a specified inner diameter and sticker sequence — this saves 1–2 seconds per container. Sheets are better for smaller runs, seasonal offers, and cases where several different dish names are needed on one sheet.

What must be on the ingredient sticker

If you deliver ready meals in packaging, the label generally needs to include: the dish name, ingredient list in descending order, highlighted allergens, net weight, storage conditions, use-by date, and the company name with address. Allergens are usually highlighted in bold or capital letters — so the sticker artwork should allow at least a 6 pt font and sufficient line spacing.

A practical solution: we print a base sticker with the logo and permanent information, leaving a blank field for the date to be filled in at the kitchen. Translation stickers (e.g. LV/EN/RU) are printed as a separate sticker to be applied over the imported packaging text.

Courier equipment and thermal bags

We don't just print on packaging. Thermal bags are printed using DTF transfer or heat transfer — full-colour logos hold up even on synthetic fabric. For courier and kitchen clothing (T-shirts, polos, hoodies, jackets, caps) we use screen printing, DTF or embroidery; standard placements are the left chest at 110×90 mm and the back up to 280×210 mm, embroidery up to 90×90 mm. More on methods in the clothing printing section.

Aprons with an embroidered logo are the cheapest way to give the kitchen a uniform look: prices start from around EUR 3.74/pc plus printing.

Files, timelines and repeat orders

Artwork needs to be vector-based (.ai, .eps, .pdf, .svg), in CMYK colours, with raster images at 300 dpi. For stickers, allow a 2 mm bleed and a 2 mm safety margin from the edge — especially if the sticker is contour-cut.

ProductTimeline
Stickers in rolls or sheets1–3 business days
Business cards, flyers, menu cards1–3 business days
Thermal bags, aprons, printed clothing6–10 business days (production 4–7 + delivery 2–3)

Urgent jobs are accepted by agreement. For repeat orders, we keep the artwork on file, so the next batch goes into production the same day the quantity is confirmed.

Frequently asked questions

Will a sticker stay on a hot, moist container?

A PP film sticker with moisture-resistant adhesive stays on a sweating plastic container and at fridge temperatures. A paper sticker is fine for dry cardboard and bags, but it swells under condensation. If you're unsure, we can send a small sample for testing.

What's the minimum quantity for stickers?

We print rolls from 500 pcs, sheets from 1 sheet. For a test batch with two designs, a few sheets are enough to check the size on actual packaging.

How much does a round logo sticker Ø50 mm cost?

As a guide, from around EUR 0.05/pc for paper and from EUR 0.08/pc for PP film at 1,000 pcs, excl. VAT. At 5,000 pcs, the price per piece is noticeably lower; we give an exact figure once size and material are confirmed.

Can you print stickers with variable text, such as a dish name?

Yes. Digital printing allows several designs within one run — for example, 10 dish names at 300 pcs each. The price is calculated on the total quantity, with a small setup fee per design.

How are thermal bags printed?

Mainly with DTF transfer — a full-colour logo with no extra charge for the number of colours. Screen printing also works on fabric surfaces, but only for larger runs and flat print areas.

Can you provide the whole set: stickers, menus and courier shirts?

Yes, we produce stickers and digital printing in-house at our facility on Kandavas iela 29A, while clothing and thermal bags are printed from the catalogue. You'll see all items with prices and timelines in a single quote.
