Promotional Products for Tour Companies: A Guide for Guides
How tour guides and coach operators choose promotional products with a logo: recognisability for the group, souvenirs for tourists, price benchmarks and lead times.

Promotional products for tour companies fall into three groups in practice: recognisability items for the guide and group (lanyards, caps, flags, vests), souvenirs and gifts for tourists (thermal mugs, bags, keyrings, pens) and printed materials (bus stickers, route cards, flyers). Prices start from around EUR 0.35/pc at 50 pcs for a printed pen and EUR 0.48/pc for a drawstring bag; thermal mugs — from EUR 5.00/pc at 50 pcs. All prices exclude VAT; production with printing usually takes 4–7 business days plus 2–3 days for delivery.
What a tour company needs first
In July and August, when five groups pass through Riga's Old Town in a single day, the most important thing is that the tourist can find their own guide. That's why the first order is usually not souvenirs, but working tools: a guide's flag or sign, lanyards with the company name for group members' cards, matching caps or T-shirts for the team, and stickers for the bus door.

The second layer is products that tourists take home and that keep working as advertising: a thermal mug, a tote bag, a keyring with a torch, a sticky-note pad for the hotel desk. The third is B2B materials for partners: hotels, tourist information centres, cruise agents.
Guide and driver clothing
Team clothing is the simplest way for a group of 40 people to spot their leader. Standard printing areas we use in clothing printing:
- left chest — 110×90 mm (logo on a polo shirt or vest);
- front and back — up to 280×210 mm (the company name in large lettering works well on the back, so it can be read from 10 metres away);
- sleeve — 80×60 mm;
- embroidery — up to 90×90 mm (the most durable option for caps and polo shirts that get washed all season).
Screen printing is cost-effective from around 30–50 pcs per colour count, DTF transfer — for small runs and full-colour logos, embroidery — for caps, jackets and vests. For evening tours and cycling tours, we also recommend reflective elements.
Souvenirs tourists actually take with them
When choosing a souvenir, weight and size matter — tourists travel with hand luggage. Flat, lightweight items work well: a drawstring bag, sticky notes, a keyring with a torch, a reflector. A thermal mug is more expensive, but tourists often buy it themselves at the end of the tour, which is why many companies treat it as a retail item with a 2–3x markup.

For group tours with lunch on the bus, lunch boxes and water bottles come in handy; for multi-day routes — umbrellas that are handed out to the group on site and collected back afterwards.

Stickers and printed materials for the route
Tour companies often also need stickers: a logo on the bus door and minibus sides (contour-cut vinyl), numbered luggage stickers, stickers for souvenir packaging, and multilingual instruction stickers. Turnaround time for in-house print products — 1–3 business days.
We print route cards, invitations to the season opening, flyers for hotel reception desks, and A0–A4 posters digitally, even from 1 piece. You can view the full product range with prices by quantity and colour in the promotional products section.
How ordering works
The client adds chosen products to a request on the website or simply sends an email with an approximate quantity. Within one business day, we send an online quote and a PDF with product images, prices, printing area, setup fee and lead time for each item. On request, we prepare a 3D mock-up with your logo; the artwork is approved by email before production.
We expect files in vector format (.ai, .eps, .pdf, .svg), CMYK; 300 dpi for raster images. Promotional products with printing are usually ready within 6–10 business days (production 4–7 business days depending on quantity plus delivery of 2–3 days). During the summer season, we recommend allowing for the full lead time and ordering at least two weeks before a large group or event; urgent jobs — by arrangement.
Frequently asked questions
Can I order just a few pieces, for example, 5 thermal mugs for guides?
Yes, we also work with orders of 1 piece — sublimation printing on mugs and thermal mugs is available from 1 pc, as is digital printing and DTF printing on clothing. Keep in mind that the price per piece for small quantities is higher, as the setup fee is spread over a smaller number of items.
Which printing method best withstands everyday use on guide clothing?
Embroidery (up to 90×90 mm) on polo shirts, caps and vests withstands the most washes. Screen printing is durable and cost-effective from 30–50 pcs, while DTF transfer is better suited for full-colour logos and small quantities.
How much time should I allow for an order during the peak season?
In-house print products — stickers, business cards, posters — take 1–3 business days. Promotional products with printing take 6–10 business days. If your group arrives sooner, let us know right away: some items can be expedited.
Can you print souvenirs in several languages within one order?
Yes. We print stickers and cards with different language versions within one print run by splitting the files; for promotional products, each language version is treated as a separate artwork and may carry an additional setup fee.
Is it possible to see how the logo will look on the product before I order?
Yes, on request we add a 3D mock-up with your logo on the specific product to the quote and indicate the printing area size in millimetres.
Which products sell best as paid souvenirs?
In practice, thermal mugs and tote bags with a city or route design, as well as keyrings, sell the best. They're compact, useful right away, and allow for a markup.
Send us an approximate quantity and product list at info@attaprint.lv, call us, or message us on WhatsApp at +371 25776699 — we'll prepare a quote with prices, printing area and lead time within one business day.
