Woodworking Tags, Labels and Exhibition Materials for Joinery Businesses

A practical guide to labelling joinery products with tags and stickers, and preparing materials for exhibitions — materials, sizes, indicative prices and turnaround times.

Woodworking tags, labels and exhibition materials for joinery businesses

Woodworking tags are most commonly printed on 250–350 g/m² card with a punched hole for string (typical sizes 50×90, 60×120 or 45×80 mm), while product labelling on furniture surfaces usually uses white or transparent PP film and vinyl that withstands moisture and transport. The minimum order starts from 1 piece in digital printing, stickers in rolls from 250–500 pcs, and our standard turnaround for printing is 1–3 business days. Promotional products with a logo (tags, T-shirts, mugs) usually take 6–10 business days.

What joinery businesses typically need to label

Requests from woodworking and furniture manufacturers (NACE 16.23) mostly fall into four groups:

  • Product tag – brand, model, wood species, dimensions, production date, QR code linking to a website or assembly video.
  • Technical label on the product – batch number, serial number, barcode for the warehouse, load warnings.
  • Care and composition stickers – oiling, varnish renewal, cleaning agents to avoid; often needed in two or three languages.
  • Packaging markings – "Fragile", direction arrows, set contents, numbering of screw bags.

If you manufacture made-to-order furniture, two solutions working together are usually the most practical: a small sticker on an unseen part of the product (with batch data) and a hanging tag or card with your brand that the customer takes and keeps.

Choosing materials: what survives the workshop and transport

Metallic films are used when you need a "tin" effect on premium products. Stickers are available both in sheets (convenient for manual application) and in rolls with an applicator if you need to label dozens of parts per day — see more options in the stickers section.

Exhibitions, showrooms and points of sale

For joinery businesses, most orders come from direct contact, so exhibition materials pay off quickly. In practice, a minimum stand set includes:

  • Roll-up banner stand 850×2000 mm – brand, 3–4 photos of your work, QR code.
  • PVC banner for the back of the stand or workshop façade, with loops or metal eyelets.
  • Beach flag for outdoor events and open-door days.
  • Posters A3–A0 featuring wood species samples and finishing options.
  • Catalogue or booklet A5 with price ranges and assembly conditions.
  • Business cards and cards placed in the corner of your samples.

For wood sample boards, we usually add a small sticker with the species name and finish code — this saves half the conversation at the exhibition. See formats and materials in the large-format printing and banners sections.

Files and artwork approval

Send your logo and tag artwork in vector format (.ai, .eps, .pdf, .svg), colours in CMYK; if using photos, at least 300 dpi. For tags, allow a 2–3 mm bleed area and keep anything important at least 4 mm from the edge, and mark the hole position separately.

If you don't have artwork, just send us the text and desired size — we'll prepare a sample. We confirm all orders by email: we send a PDF with dimensions, material, print location, setup fee and turnaround for each item, and a 3D view with your logo on request. Examples can be seen in the our work section.

Frequently asked questions

What's the smallest quantity you can print tags for?

In digital printing we work from 1 piece, so it's possible to make a sample tag or a single poster. For stickers in rolls, the practical minimum is 250–500 pcs, because at smaller quantities the setup costs are spread over fewer pieces and the price per piece is high.

Will a sticker stay on an oiled or waxed wood surface?

On oiled and waxed surfaces, adhesive holds less well than on varnished or untreated ones. In such cases, we recommend either a hanging card tag or sticking the label on an untreated inner part of the product. If you're not sure, we'll make a sample for you to test on your own finish.

Can you include a QR code and batch numbers?

Yes. The QR code should be at least 15×15 mm with sufficient contrast. Variable data — batch or serial numbers, barcodes — can be printed with sequential numbering; we agree on the format before the artwork goes to print.

What about stickers in other languages?

Composition, care and instruction stickers are often printed in two or three languages. You provide the translated text, and we lay it out so it stays legible — in practice, the smallest recommended font size is 6 pt.

How much time should I allow for an exhibition set?

Roll-up banner stands, banners and posters are made in 2–3 business days, booklets in 3–5 business days. If the set also includes T-shirts or logo products, plan for about 2 weeks before the event to allow time for artwork approval.

Can I order socks or gifts with a company logo for clients?

Yes, our promotional products catalogue has more than 2000 items, including socks with a woven logo from 100 pairs, thermal mugs and tool sets that work well in the woodworking industry, both for clients and your team.

Send us your tag size, quantity and logo to info@attaprint.lv, or call or message us on WhatsApp at +371 25776699 — we prepare a quote with prices, materials and turnaround times within one business day.
