Staff T-shirts with Logo: Uniform Set for a Small Company

How many T-shirts does one employee need, which fabric to choose, and what logo printing costs — a practical guide for a small company with 5–15 people.

Staff T-shirts with logo: uniform set for a small company

Staff T-shirts with a logo for a small company usually mean 3–4 garments per person: 2–3 T-shirts for everyday work and 1 polo shirt for customer service or events. In our catalogue, a T-shirt starts from EUR 2.22/pc (Beagle 155 g/m²), a polo shirt from EUR 5.81/pc (Star 200 g/m²), and printing adds roughly EUR 2–5 per print location plus a one-off setup fee. For a team of 8, the whole set usually comes to EUR 300–450 excl. VAT and is ready in 6–10 business days.

How many pieces to order per employee

In small service businesses — cafés, salons, car workshops, cleaning and repair companies — shirts get washed often, so one piece simply isn't enough. A realistic minimum is three cotton T-shirts: one being worn, one in the wash, one in the wardrobe.

If part of the job involves direct customer contact, add one polo shirt. A polo with a collar looks smarter, holds its shape better, and is a logical choice for a receptionist, technician or owner. For autumn and winter, one sweatshirt makes a good outer layer.

T-shirt or polo: which to choose

Fabric weight is the key parameter. A 150–165 g/m² T-shirt is lighter and cheaper but wears out faster after 20–30 washes. A 185–200 g/m² fabric holds its shape longer and looks better on different body types — the right choice for a work uniform worn every day.

A polyester sports T-shirt (Bahrain 135 g/m²) suits physical work where you need fast-drying fabric: couriers, event crews, sports club coaches. Cotton, on the other hand, is more comfortable indoors and in the heat — for example, in a kitchen.

Cut differs between women's and men's styles — if your team includes both, order Capri 170 g/m² and Beagle or Stafford respectively. These can be combined in a single order as long as the print size stays the same. You can browse the full range under T-shirts and polo shirts.

Printing method and locations

For garment printing, we use three main technologies for small orders:

  • DTF transfer — cost-effective from 1 up to around 30 pieces, any number of colours and photos, no separate screens needed.
  • Screen printing — cost-effective from 30–50 pieces upward, especially with 1–2 colour logos; the larger the quantity, the lower the price per piece.
  • Embroidery — for polo shirts, sweatshirts and caps; the most durable option, logo up to 90×90 mm.

Standard print locations for work uniforms: left chest 110×90 mm (logo), front or back up to 280×210 mm (larger logo, slogan, website), sleeve 80×60 mm. For a small company, a logo on the chest and the company name or phone number on the back is usually enough — the shirt works as advertising whenever the employee is with a customer.

How to plan sizes and budget

Size distribution is where small companies most often go wrong. Before ordering, collect an accurate size from each employee and add 1–2 spare shirts in size M and L for a new hire or intern — reordering 2 pieces later always costs more per piece.

The one-off setup fee depends on the technology and the number of colours, so it's best to order all sizes and models in a single batch. If the logo is the same, it can be applied to T-shirts, polos and sweatshirts within one order without extra setup for each model.

Please send files as vector graphics (.ai, .eps, .pdf, .svg), colours in CMYK; raster images need at least 300 dpi. If you only have a logo from your website, let us know — we'll redraw or adapt it for printing before production. In the quote, we specify the print location, setup fee and lead time for each item, and on request we prepare a 3D preview with your logo. You can view previous work in our portfolio.

Frequently asked questions

How many T-shirts with a logo does one employee need?

For everyday work, the practical minimum is 3 T-shirts plus 1 polo shirt for customer service. If the job is physically demanding or it's hot summer weather, 4–5 T-shirts are recommended so the washing cycle doesn't get in the way of work.

Can I order just 5 or 10 shirts?

Yes, we also work with orders of 1 piece. For small quantities we use DTF transfer, which doesn't require screen printing plates, making an order of 5–10 shirts economically sensible. For larger quantities, the price per piece drops.

Which is more durable — screen printing, DTF or embroidery?

Embroidery lasts the longest and is recommended for polo shirts and sweatshirts. Screen printing is very durable on cotton T-shirts and cost-effective from 30–50 pieces. DTF is a flexible solution for small quantities and multi-colour logos; washed at up to 40°C with the shirt turned inside out, it holds up well.

How long does an order take?

Printed garments usually take 6–10 business days: production 4–7 business days depending on quantity, plus 2–3 days for delivery. Urgent orders can be arranged by agreement.

Can men's and women's styles be mixed in one order?

Yes. For example, Stafford 190 g/m² for men, Capri 170 g/m² for women, and the Star polo is available in both cuts in the same colour. If the fabrics and colours match, the team looks consistent.

In what format should I send the logo?

The best option is vector graphics — .ai, .eps, .pdf or .svg, in CMYK colours. If you only have a .png or .jpg, it needs to be at least 300 dpi at print size; otherwise we'll redraw the logo.

Send us your number of employees, sizes and logo to info@attaprint.lv, call +371 25776699, or message us on WhatsApp at the same number — we'll prepare a quote with product images, prices and lead times within one business day.
