Fast mug printing: how many days to get your order

Fast mug printing in practice means 1–2 business days: if we use standard white sublimation mugs, which are kept in stock at our production facility on Kandavas iela 29A, and the artwork is ready in vector format or 300 dpi raster, we print the next business day after the artwork is approved. For rush orders, when the file is sent by 11:00 and the quantity is small (up to around 30 pcs), we can often hand over the mugs the same day by arrangement. Orders with special mugs from the catalogue — coloured, with a lid, thermal mugs — take 6–10 business days, since the product first needs to be brought in.

What determines the deadline

Speed depends on three things: whether the mug is already in stock, how ready the artwork is, and the quantity.

• Mug availability. We always keep standard white ceramic mugs (around 330 ml) for sublimation in stock at our production facility. Coloured, matte, magic-type or metal thermal mugs are ordered from the catalogue, which adds 2–4 days for delivery of the product.
• Artwork. If you send a ready-made file (.ai, .eps, .pdf, .svg, CMYK; 300 dpi for raster), we can start printing right away. If the logo needs to be redrawn from a low-resolution JPG or the design needs to be created from scratch, add one business day.
• Quantity. Up to 30 mugs is a one-day job for sublimation. 100–300 mugs take 2–3 business days, since each mug spends around 4–6 minutes in the press.

How "same day" works

For same-day completion, everything needs to line up: the mug in stock, the file received in the morning, the artwork approved by email, and pickup in person at Kandavas iela. If delivery is needed, add at least half a day — courier delivery in Riga costs 16.00 EUR per trip; outside Riga we work with parcel lockers and courier post (1–2 days).

Deadlines by order type

The table shows business-day deadlines excluding delivery. Delivery in Riga is usually arranged the same or next day.

How much it costs

Prices are indicative, excl. VAT, and depend on the mug model, print coverage (one side or all around) and quantity. We provide the exact price in a quote.

There are no setup fees for sublimation — a full-colour image, photo or gradient costs the same as a single-colour logo. That's why mugs are good value even for 1–5 pieces, for example when you need a gift with a specific name or date.

Rush surcharge

If the job needs to be squeezed in between other orders on the same day, we usually agree on a surcharge of 15–30% of the order value, depending on quantity and workload. We take on rush jobs more often on mid-week mornings than on Friday afternoons.

What to prepare so you don't lose a day

Most delays happen not in production, but in artwork approval. To keep the process fast:

1. Send the logo in vector format (.ai, .eps, .pdf, .svg) or an image at least 300 dpi at print size.
2. Specify the quantity, desired pickup date and whether printing is needed on one side, both sides or all around the mug.
3. Let us know if the mug needs to be a specific colour — this has the biggest impact on the deadline.
4. Approve the artwork by email. We don't start printing without written approval.

In sublimation printing, the colour is embedded into the mug's coating, making it dishwasher-safe. Note that sublimation only works on specially coated mugs — an ordinary shop-bought mug brought in by a customer cannot be printed on.

When mugs are part of a larger order

If mugs are needed together with T-shirts, bags or notebooks, the deadline is set by the slowest item. For example, apparel printing using the DTF method takes 2–4 business days, while screen printing with setup at 35.00 EUR takes 3–5 days. In that case, we schedule the mugs so everything is ready on the same day, or hand items over in stages if part of the order is needed sooner.

For events, we often make up a set: a mug, a sticker with the event logo, and a card. Sticker printing at our facility takes 1–3 business days (standard printing from 17.60 EUR/m²), so the whole set usually stays within a two- to three-day window. Can mugs be collected the same day?

How long do coloured mugs or thermal mugs take?

These are ordered from the catalogue, so the total deadline is 5–10 business days: 2–4 days to bring in the product, 1–3 days for printing, 1–2 days for delivery. If the date is critical, let us know right away — we'll suggest models that are available faster.

Is there a minimum quantity?

No. We print sublimation mugs from 1 piece, with no setup fees. From 100 pieces and up, the price per piece drops by around a third.

How much does one printed mug cost?

Indicatively from 9 EUR (excl. VAT) for one white ceramic mug with full-colour printing, and from 5 EUR at 100 pcs. Thermal mugs with a logo start at around 12–18 EUR depending on the model and quantity.

Can you print a photo or multiple colours?

Yes. Sublimation is full-colour printing, so photos, gradients and multi-colour designs don't affect the price. You'll need an image of at least 300 dpi at print size.

Will the print survive a dishwasher?

On specially coated sublimation mugs, the print is embedded into the coating and is dishwasher-safe. For metal thermal mugs, we recommend hand washing to preserve the surface finish.
