Coaching Staff Kit with Logo and Fan Merchandise for Sports Clubs

A practical guide to outfitting a sports club's coaching staff and preparing fan merchandise with a logo: printing methods, sizes, quantities and turnaround times.

Coaching staff kit with logo and fan merchandise for a sports club

Coaching staff kit with a logo usually means 3–4 clothing items per person — a polo or T-shirt for training, a hoodie or sweatshirt for colder weather, and one lightweight jacket for away trips. Embroidery on the chest up to 90×90 mm will withstand 50+ washes, DTF transfer is cost-effective from 5 pieces, while screen printing becomes cheaper from around 30–50 pieces in one colour. The standard turnaround for printed clothing is 6–10 business days, of which production takes 4–7 business days.

What a coaching kit typically includes

With the clubs we work with, a two-tier system is most common. Coaches and staff get higher-quality clothing with embroidery, while players and fans get a simpler printed shirt that can be ordered in a larger batch.

  • Polo shirt — for training sessions and official occasions; logo embroidery on the left chest, "Coach" or a name on the back.
  • T-shirt — for everyday training, 2–3 pcs per person; front and back printing up to 280×210 mm.
  • Hoodie or sweatshirt — for the off-season outside the gym; large logo on the back, small one on the chest.
  • Lightweight jacket — for away games and competitions; embroidery on the chest and sleeve, 80×60 mm.
  • Cap or baseball cap — for summer training, embroidery only.

We print all of this in one place at Kandavas iela 29A — clothing printing covers screen printing, DTF, embroidery and sublimation, so several techniques can be combined in a single order.

How to choose a printing method

TechniqueCost-effective fromSuitable forWhat to consider
Embroidery10 pcspolos, jackets, caps, hoodiesmax. 90×90 mm, fine text may be lost
DTF transfer1–50 pcsT-shirts, full-colour logos, namesunlimited colours, photos too
Screen printing30–50 pcsT-shirts, large batchesprice depends on number of colours
Sublimation1 pcpolyester sports shirts, mugslight-coloured polyester only

A practical rule of thumb: if a club has 6 coaches, embroidery or DTF is more cost-effective. If you need 120 fan T-shirts with a one- or two-colour logo, screen printing gives the lowest price per piece.

Print placement and sizes

Standard placements we use in artwork: left chest 110×90 mm, front and back up to 280×210 mm, sleeve 80×60 mm, embroidery up to 90×90 mm. Sponsor logos are usually placed on the back below the number or on the sleeve — this way the same kit design can be used for several seasons, changing only the sleeve element.

Fan merchandise: what clubs order most often

A fan merchandise line should work in two directions — cheap items in large quantities (wristbands, keyrings, lanyards) and a few higher-value items that can be sold on match day (mugs, thermal mugs, bags, socks with a woven-in logo).

  • Wristbands — the simplest mass-market item for season ticket holders and youth groups.
  • Socks with a woven-in logo — from 100 pairs, logo woven in rather than printed; see socks with a woven-in logo.
  • Mugs and thermal mugs — full-colour sublimation from 1 piece, also great as end-of-season gifts for coaches.
  • Tote bags and backpacks — for players' kit and as a sellable item.
  • Beach flags and roll-up banner stands — for the club's area at the competition venue.

You'll find a wider selection in the promotional products with logo section — the catalogue has more than 2,000 items with prices by quantity and colour.

Files, artwork and turnaround times

Please send the logo as vector artwork: .ai, .eps, .pdf or .svg, colours in CMYK; raster images need 300 dpi. If the club logo only exists as a JPG from the website, we'll redraw it in vector format — this is needed for both embroidery and contour cutting.

We send a quote within one business day, online and as a PDF, with product images, prices, print placement, setup fee and turnaround time for each item. On request, we prepare a 3D mock-up with the club's logo so the board or sponsor can see the result before production. The artwork must be approved by email, and only then do we start printing.

Turnaround times: in-house print products (stickers, posters, business cards) 1–3 business days; printed clothing and promotional products typically 6–10 business days — production 4–7 business days depending on quantity, plus delivery 2–3 days. If your competition date is closer, we can arrange urgent orders by agreement. Previous clubs' projects can be viewed in the our work section.

Frequently asked questions

How many pieces should I order for the coaching kit to be cost-effective?

We also work with orders of just 1 piece. For a coaching group of 5–15 people, embroidery or DTF transfer is the most cost-effective option, since there's no screen setup fee to pay. Screen printing starts paying off from around 30–50 pieces in one colour.

Can you print on shirts the club already has?

Yes, if the material is suitable — cotton or a cotton-polyester blend works for DTF and screen printing, pure polyester requires testing. We recommend setting aside 1–2 pieces for a test print.

How should a sponsor's logo be placed on the kit?

The back below the main lettering and the sleeve (80×60 mm) are used most often. If sponsors change every season, we plan them in one spot so the main kit design stays unchanged.

Can player names and numbers be added separately?

Yes, we create individual names and numbers using DTF transfer, since each piece has different content. Please send the list in an Excel or text file with the sizes listed against each name.

What fan merchandise suits a smaller budget?

Wristbands, keyrings, lanyards and reflectors — price per piece under EUR 2 at 100+ pieces. These items work well as an add-on to a ticket or as a gift for a youth group.

Can I order everything in one order — kit, stickers and a banner?

Yes, we print clothing as well as banners, roll-up banner stands, posters and stickers. You'll see all items in one quote, each with its own turnaround time.
