Bike Shop Materials: Price Tags, Stickers and Staff Uniforms

A practical guide for bike and outdoor shops: price tags, service stickers, warranty labels and staff shirts, with timelines and indicative prices.

Bike shop materials: price tags, stickers and staff uniforms

Bike shop materials ahead of the season usually fall into three groups: price tags and shelf labels (digital printing, 1–3 business days), service and warranty stickers in rolls or sheets (from 100 pcs), and staff shirts with printing (screen printing, DTF or embroidery, 6–10 business days including delivery). In practice, shops in Latvia refresh this set in February–March, so that by the end of March, when the first big rush begins, everything is already on the shelf. Below is exactly what's needed, in which materials, and with what indicative timelines.

Price tags and shelf labels

In a bike shop, a price tag lives a hard life: it gets moved from one frame to another, gets damp in the humidity of the service area, and fades by the shop window. That's why we recommend two solutions depending on the location.

  • Shop floor shelves and frames — 250–300 g cardboard, double-sided digital printing, A7, A6, A5 formats. From 1 pc, but it's genuinely cost-effective to print a run of 100–500 pcs with spare capacity for shift changes.
  • Window display, service counter, entrance door — stickers on PP film or vinyl; these withstand moisture and can be removed without leaving glue residue.
  • Promotions and seasonal sales — A3/A2 posters or posters, which can be swapped every two weeks.

If a shop has several categories (bikes, parts, apparel, service), it's practical to create one template with a colour code per category and print everything in a single batch — the setup fee is paid only once.

Service, warranty and composition stickers

This is the part most often ordered at the last minute. A service sticker on the frame with the date and next service due, warranty seals, QR stickers on repair receipts, composition and instruction stickers for imported accessories — we print all of these in both sheets and rolls with contour cutting.

Prices are indicative — the final amount depends on the print run, material, number of colours, and whether contour cutting is needed. More on materials: sticker printing.

What to consider for stickers on bikes

PP film with acrylic adhesive holds well on powder-coated frames and carbon fibre. On oily or textured surfaces, the adhesive doesn't grip — wipe the surface with alcohol before applying. If the sticker will stay outdoors all season, choose laminated vinyl, since without it UV light fades colours, especially reds and blues.

Staff uniforms: shirts, polos and jackets

In a bike shop, staff work at the counter one minute and crawl around the workshop the next, so uniforms are usually split into two groups: for the sales floor — polo shirts with an embroidered logo on the chest, and for the workshop — dark T-shirts or workwear with durable screen printing.

Standard print placements we work with:

  • left chest — 110×90 mm (logo, name, job title);
  • front or back — up to 280×210 mm (shop name, slogan, website);
  • sleeve — 80×60 mm (small logo or seasonal campaign);
  • embroidery — up to 90×90 mm, withstands frequent washing better than printing.

We choose the technology based on quantity: screen printing pays off from 30–50 pcs in one colour, DTF transfer is cost-effective for 5–30 pcs and full-colour logos, and embroidery is best when you need a durable, representative result on polos and jackets. More details: apparel printing.

We prefer files in vector format (.ai, .eps, .pdf, .svg), CMYK; 300 dpi for raster images. If there's no vector file, we redraw the logo — this is a one-off setup fee that won't be repeated on future orders. Urgent jobs are possible by arrangement.

Frequently asked questions

How small can a sticker print run be?

We can print as few as 50–100 pcs, but the price per piece is then high, since most of the cost is setup. For service and warranty stickers, the logical minimum is 500–1000 pcs — at that point, a single sticker costs a few cents, enough for the whole season.

Will a sticker on a bike frame leave glue marks?

With standard acrylic adhesive on a powder-coated surface, marks usually don't appear in the first few months. If the sticker will definitely need to be removed (for example, test-ride marking), we use removable adhesive — just mention this in your request.

How many shirts should I order to make screen printing worthwhile?

From around 30–50 pcs per print colour. For smaller quantities, 5–30 pcs, DTF transfer is cheaper, and it handles full-colour logos at no extra cost.

Can you print price tags with different text in a single run?

Yes, digital printing allows variable data — each tag can have a different model, price and QR code. Send the data in an Excel file, and we'll match it to the template.

How long does a combined order take: stickers + shirts + roll-up?

The printed items are ready in 1–4 business days, printed shirts in 6–10 business days. If it's a single order, we usually coordinate delivery based on the slowest item, or hand it over in two parts.

Will I see the artwork before production?

Yes. The quote for each item includes the print area, setup fee and timeline, and on request we prepare a 3D view with your logo. Production only starts after you approve the artwork by email.

Send us your logo and approximate quantities at info@attaprint.lv, call us, or message us on WhatsApp at +371 25776699 — we'll prepare a quote with prices, print areas and timelines within one business day.
