Restaurant Branding: Menus, Aprons, Mugs, Stickers
A practical guide for restaurant managers: how to match menus, staff aprons, mugs and stickers into one coherent visual set, with realistic timelines and prices.

In practice, restaurant branding involves four separate production processes that need to be aligned into one visual language: digitally printed menus (from 1 pc, 1–3 business days), staff aprons with embroidery or screen printing (from EUR 3.74/pc at 100 pcs), stickers for packaging and takeaway containers (paper, PP film or vinyl, including contour cutting), and mugs with full-colour sublimation from 1 piece. If you order everything at once, the whole set is usually ready in 6–10 business days, since the slowest item is printed textiles. Below is how to plan this so you don't end up with three different shades of green in the same dining room.
Where to start: one colour chart for the whole set
The most common problem isn't price – it's inconsistency. The menu is printed in CMYK on paper, the apron embroidery uses thread colours from an available palette, the sticker is printed on white or transparent film, and the mug uses sublimation inks. The same logo can look slightly different in each technology.

The practical solution: before production, fix your logo as a single vector file (.ai, .eps, .pdf or .svg) in CMYK, and decide on a single-colour version as well. A restaurant almost always needs three logo variants – full colour (for print), single-colour white (for dark aprons), and single-colour dark (for light stickers). With these three files you can brand everything, with no need to redraw anything six months later.
Menus and dining room materials
We print menus digitally from 1 pc up to large runs. In practice, two models work well for restaurants:
- Seasonal menu on heavier paper (250–350 g/m²), 20–60 copies, replaced 2–4 times a year. If you plan to change prices often, it's more economical to print smaller runs more frequently.
- Inserts and daily specials on thinner paper in A4 or A5 format – these can be printed in runs as small as 10 pcs, once a week.
The same style usually extends to table cards with a QR code, bar lists, gift cards, business cards for the chef and manager, and flyers for business lunches. For the dining room and entrance – posters in A4–A0 format and a roll-up banner stand for events.
Staff aprons: embroidery or screen printing
The apron is the one item a guest sees all evening, so it's worth choosing a more durable printing method. Embroidery on the apron chest (up to 90×90 mm) withstands washing at 60°C and doesn't crack – this is the standard solution for floor staff. Screen printing is cheaper for larger quantities and suits large, flat logos better. DTF transfer is useful when the logo is multicoloured or has a gradient and quantities are small.

Standard printing areas we use for garment printing: chest, left side, 110×90 mm; front, up to 280×210 mm; sleeve, 80×60 mm (for T-shirts and polo shirts); embroidery up to 90×90 mm. Kitchen staff usually pair aprons with T-shirts or polo shirts, while floor staff get sweatshirts or vests for cooler months.

Stickers: packaging, takeaway and ingredients
Stickers are the most frequently reordered item for restaurants. We print them in sheets and rolls, with contour cutting into any shape:
- Takeaway seals – round paper or PP film stickers for bags or container lids, 30–60 mm in diameter.
- Product and ingredient labels – for house sauces, preserves, pastries; these need ingredient information, allergens, weight and shelf life.
- Transparent stickers for glass bottles and windows, plus metallic ones for gift sets.
- Vinyl stickers for doors, fridges and outdoor signage that withstand moisture and cleaning.
If you sell house-made products in shops, plan ahead for barcode space and translated labels – these are usually printed separately and applied over the original label.
Mugs, thermal mugs and gifts
For mug printing we use sublimation – full-colour image, from 1 piece, so you can print anywhere from 12 mugs for the bar to 300 for gifts. Thermal mugs with a logo work as a takeaway loyalty solution: the guest buys the mug once, then gets their coffee in their own cup. Check out mugs and thermal mugs in our catalogue, with prices listed by quantity.
For the holiday season, restaurants often order gift sets – a thermal mug, towel, pouch, keyring or socks with a woven logo (from 100 pairs). The rest of our promotional products with a logo – bags, bottles, pens, notebooks for reservations – are in the same catalogue, with over 2,000 items.

Frequently asked questions
Can I order just 10 aprons?
Yes. We also work with quantities as low as 1 piece, but at small quantities the per-piece price is significantly affected by the setup fee (embroidery programme or screen printing stencils). At 50–100 pcs, the per-piece price already drops considerably.
How long does embroidery last on an apron?
Embroidery withstands restaurant washing cycles better than heat transfer and usually wears out together with the fabric itself. If the design is multicoloured or has fine details, it's safer to choose DTF transfer or screen printing.
What files should I send?
Vector graphics – .ai, .eps, .pdf or .svg, in CMYK colour space. Raster images (photos on the menu or on a mug) need 300 dpi at actual size. If you only have a logo from your website, let us know – we can usually redraw it in vector format.
Do you print on glass glasses?
We print mugs and thermal mugs using sublimation from 1 piece. For glassware and bottles, the usual solution is transparent or white stickers with contour cutting – they look clean and are cheaper for small runs. Other options can be arranged individually.
How is the quote prepared?
You add the products to a request on our website, or simply tell us what you need. Within one business day, we send a quote online and as a PDF, with product images, prices, printing area, setup fee and timeline for each item. On request, we can prepare a 3D preview with your logo, and the artwork is approved by email.
Can I order the whole set at once?
Yes, and this is the recommended approach – one round of artwork approval fixes the colours for all materials. We can deliver the print items faster, but textiles and branded products take 6–10 business days.
Send us your menu file, logo and approximate quantities at info@attaprint.lv, call +371 25776699, or message us on WhatsApp at the same number – we'll prepare a quote with prices, printing areas and timelines within one business day.
